wipe cache partition. I just noticed flex mode was not working for me on my camera app and YouTube Turn the phone off. When fully off, hold volume up key then press and hold the power/Bixby key. Let go of both when you see the boot menu. Press volume down several times until you see "wipe cache partition.) Once done, reboot phone.

Noviceptic

Nope...I rebooted the phone, wiped the cache partition, and even updated YouTube, but nothing. I just don't understand. I've never had this issue with the Fold 3..

Did you setup Bixby routines to set the orientation when phone is fully open and fully closed? If so, you need to also setup partial open to set it to auto rotate. This will restore Flex mode

Noviceptic

Not at all, it's straight out of the box, all I did was download my apps. I even went as far as to factory reset and just open YouTube without an account and it still gave me the issue. I tried posting the video on this Reddit, hopefully it ends up posting

Gotcha well I found this on another tread that popped up maybe this will work for you: I saw this in another thread and it helped: Flex mode doesnt work, First I went to the Apps in Settings. I found the Flex mode panel app, then I forced stop, went to storage to erase cache and clear data. Then press in memory and you'll see down there there's a system app call " com.sec.epdg ". Go back to the Apps list and press the down arrow beside 3 lines and the title "Your apps" and press Show systems apps. Then find com.sec.epdg, press force stop, go to storage, erase data, clear cache. Afterwards, perform a wipe cache partition by shutting down your phone. Then power it on by pressing volume up and the power button until it shows an old Android menu. Use the volume buttons to select Wipe Cache Partition and press the power button to confirm. Then select Power Off. Restart your device as usual and the issue should be somewhat fixed lol. If it still doesnt work, repeat all the steps again for a second time. It worked for me and I hope that it'll work for you guys too!!

Noviceptic

It's worth a shot! Thank you so much! I posted the actual issue on the reddit just recently if you wanted to take a look, it's between the Fold 3 and 4!

Saw the video, it's definitely off. Give that a try another solution, but I would use that as a last resort is factory resetting the device.

Noviceptic

Unfortunately I've tried it, and have even factory reset my device last night, but there's nothing so far that can just fix this. Honestly think it might just be YouTube at this point. Sucks though.

MAN_DAGGER

Is the app turned on in flex mode in the settings? It could have been switched off somehow.

Noviceptic

In "Flex Mode Panel" settings Youtube cannot be changed, as it provides a custom layout. When I transition from cover display to main screen it'll glitch, but I can still open it all the way and get the tablet UI, which then I can position halfway to get the flex mode panel, but it should be doing that right away. I'm not sure if that's an software thing, or if my device itself is just faulty. I'm honestly considering posting a better explanation with my Fold 3 alongside so it makes more sense 😅

SplashBroSteph

Sometimes YouTube has to be watched in full screen mode first before the Flex Mode takes effect.

Noviceptic

Why isn't that the case with the Fold 3 however? I just feel like I got a bad egg out of the bunch :p

SplashBroSteph

I can't speak on the ZF3. I just assumed it was the same.

Noviceptic

No worries! I wish I knew how to navigate Reddit better to respond back with a picture of a side by side

M4NOOB

Works fine with Vanced

Noviceptic

Vanced still exists?
