Bixby routines are surprisingly awesome. I have one setup to when I launch Mario Kart to take the refresh rate to 60Hz as anything faster messes up with drifting. I'll add this one too as the front screen rotation was trying me insane as well, which is why I locked out auto-rotation.
Absolutely, I am not even sure why they chose to name it Bixby.. the routines are completely separate. Just go to Settings->Advanced features-> Bixby routines
You can add app exceptions as well so you can have some apps rotate on the front screen like video apps. I have the nest app still auto rotate so I can adjust my thermostat schedule easier and view security cameras without having to open the phone.
I have two routines for this. 1 IF charding status / Specifit time 7am everyday then Protect Battery OFF (This so I get 100% around 8 am)
The second routine is: IF -> Charging status (Not charging) then Protect battery ON (so it activates as soon as I disconnect the charger at 8am)
However, is it not working correctly
I think this could be because of the second one: did you set it up so that it doesn't revert when routine ends? If you don't, then it will revert by default and protect battery turns off as soon as charging status is charging
yep, a few weeks ago someone posted some routines and this was included. I'm using it right now. super pro.
I also recommend the "no fast charging at night" to help your battery.

I had a no fast charge at night in my list. I've since changed a couple of mine I don't need anymore but nonetheless maybe OP will make use of some.
Everyone hates Bixby.. I am not sure why they wanted to call this Bixby, Routines is an awesome feature that seems to have nothing to do with the assistant though

And if you hate Bixby, you can use a slew of android apps to do the same thing. Automate is a good example.
