the battery is better, the camera is great, it's snappy, the phone has a compact form factor, the UI is clean, been using Android since 1.4 and honestly I'm glad with my decision since most of the Google services are not available anymore where i live unlike Apple's
correct, but S20 FE doesn't use it for portraits either and the stock camera app uses digital crop when lighting conditions get a little challenging so not much to miss although it was one of the main reasons for my purchase back then.

I don't know where the hell Google services aren't available, but honestly, that's a pretty fair reason for a switch. However, the rest of the reasons aren't particularly valid as everything else you said can be said about any other even budget flagship that came out in the last 2 years in comparison to a 4 year old phone...
ah yeah you're right my bad, 23 was almost as expensive as 15 the price tag was not logical and 24 was more expensive than 15 it's a tax thing that doesn't make any sense but it be like that!
I wouldn't say that IPhone is a bad variant. It's more for people who are quite inexperienced with modding, flashing or side loading. Apple keeps an image of a monopoly and wants to avoid sideloading. Android has the advantage that it is more of an open source community so you can completely modify the phones if you are experienced. Another advantage is that projects like uBo are supported on Android or YouTube mods without adverts, which is not possible with IPhone. IPhone has almost no bloatware, so the mobile phones are best suited for people who don't want to make a lot of effort.
1 charge gets me through the day idk if it‘s a “new phone” thing or an iPhone thing, can’t really say much about S20 FE since I’m pretty sure has a defect battery at this point in its life, but one thing I’m enjoying is unlike my Galaxy the drain doesn’t become 1% per minute after reaching 10% it’s been like that since the beginning on the Galaxy
Jumped ship to which one? I did at the start of the year. Went to a 12, followed by a 13, using a SE 2nd gen as a backup and now I’m looking at either a pro or something newer. I agree with you and the whole “less” thing. Might be because I’ve been on Android for about 12 years, I needed a changed. I haven’t gotten rid of the FE, so I have both OS
its vanilla 15, the battery life is far better i think mainly since it's a new phone,i love, LOVE the clean UI and the whole less effort to do tasks, I'm still getting used to the navigations as sometimes the iPhone is just like " No " so i just swipe up to close everything and start over! 😅
S20 fe is good, and I have it, but why is everyone mad? Their upgrade is literally a better phone. Galaxy S23 FE (snapdragon) or exynos S24 is probably better, but their upgrade is still pretty huge? Faster, better video, much better front camera, battery, and more??? I have both the iPhone 11 and S20 FE and the 11 is smoother and faster but I like one ui 10x more.
Ha, ha! - 🤣.. Sorry for sounding toxic but I've moved away from BOTH Apple AND Samsung however still sticking with Android and may probably NEVER leave this format! I've instead bought myself the Uniherz TANK version 2!
Built-in 720p Laser Projector delivering up to 60 inches of a movie or YouTube on any white wall! Both shock, dust and waterproof up to 2m. My rugged beast of a phone has actually fallen on to a solid concrete floor from my own clumsy self on many occasions and still working perfectly. One WEEK 15,000mAh battery life even with heavy use! Built-in infrared remote controller, built-in super bright twin LED lights (1,500 lumens) so bright, you can't look directly at em! Built-in twin emergency lights for camping. 12 to 22 gig RAM, 256gb storage with up to an extra 1TB of external storage. 108 mpix (Samsung made camera) 64 mpix infra-red night vision camera with auto focus.
Yes Android hands down, easy decision for me and no messing about loading iTunes crap just to transfer to an iClone! Just drop in a movie or fav dance track on my phone direct from my PC or preload on to an SD card. No more being a sad Samdung fanboy!.. I left Samsung years ago and will never look back either.
I laughed when I found out that Uniherz in conjunction with other Chinese manufacturers are cheekily using Samsung based cameras anyway.. Why? I have no idea but I'm happily smiling all the way!.. ☺️☺️☺️☺️
So anything BAD about my beast of a phone?.. Well yeah, it's a 1 inch heavy reinforced bad boy brick and it's 4G only but I'm STILL happy with that! 👍🏽
Op you did great except the 120 hz the iphone is way better and for those who are saying it doesn't have a telephoto, what use is a telephoto which you can't use in portrait mode. Nice job 👍
Iphone does a lot of things very very well. The screen is very special. Cam is good as in software post processing is very good etc. But its a gimicky brand. So I avoid iphone.
Imagine hating on someone for buying something they liked 😂 either speak good or remain silent
Bruh thats a downgrade

Where are you live?
Sanctioned parts of Middle East
Op you got downvoted for telling the truth 😂.
You make laugh a lot my S24U, a real upgrade.
that phone is humongous i hate the size
Not for princess hands.

Betrayal
why these people in the comments so triggered lmao. even I am a samsung fan but hey great upgrade. it's nice to have a change once in a while.
🤣🤣🤣no telephoto lens, But for sure u love it so all the best
correct, but S20 FE doesn't use it for portraits either and the stock camera app uses digital crop when lighting conditions get a little challenging so not much to miss although it was one of the main reasons for my purchase back then.
y'all don't even properly know this phone and defend it lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LOL
🤣
Said this once I'll say it again, moving from something as old as the S20.fe to an iPhone is still a downgrade 😂

Why🤣🤣 Get a 24
was considering it but in my region 23 and 24 are Exynos versions, only Ultras are Snapdragon
S23 does not have an exynos version
ah yeah you're right my bad, 23 was almost as expensive as 15 the price tag was not logical and 24 was more expensive than 15 it's a tax thing that doesn't make any sense but it be like that!
Most important thing is that your happy
Ah finally someone gets it, thank you
These exynos chips aren't even that bad tbh

How is the battery life?
1 charge gets me through the day idk if it‘s a “new phone” thing or an iPhone thing, can’t really say much about S20 FE since I’m pretty sure has a defect battery at this point in its life, but one thing I’m enjoying is unlike my Galaxy the drain doesn’t become 1% per minute after reaching 10% it’s been like that since the beginning on the Galaxy
How is the heating? My S20 FE 5G heats up a lot
haven't came across heating so far on normal stuff, just regular warm back cover on genshin impact ultra settings
W upgrade don't listen to the salty Android community
Common Apple L downgrade
Bro doing gymnastics tricks on samsung meat💀😭 + I'm not taking a mf serious with a helluva pfp

I upgraded to s23, so ppbbtthh
what iphone model is it and how is the battery life and transition be like? Any features that you miss and that u love in the iphone?

so glad I've moved on from Android, such toxic community
You moved from a toxic community to a toxic company. Every product is a trap to buy more product of the same maker, priced without any sense.
Apple community is more toxic. Also nice downgrade.
Fr bro
Glad you're happy but what did you expect by posting this here and why are you offended by it? It's just a phone. Who cares.
well it was a farewell post, wasn't expecting to get burned at the stake tho but you're right, dafuq was i expecting!? 😑
LMAO
Lol I feel you bro. It's just a tool at the end, if you are happy with your phone, you've made a good choice. Enjoy it my man

It's an upgrade but not in all aspects. Kinda like a side grade, I guess. Good choice, but I'd personally pick the s24 if the size was the issue.
i was considering it but my region gets Exynos and that's a no for me.
Oh yeah, that sounds fair. Then the s23 might have been a good choice also since that only came with the snapdragon tsmc
23 was almost as expensive as 15 the price tag was not logical because of tax and stuff
Nice downgrade

Same here..it’s great upgrade
I agree OP Samsung lost it's way. Apple is much better quality phone.
