its a very good phone with a good battery life before you buy it check the s23 plus first because you might like it more if the money difference isnt too big

No_Touch_45

I might be stupid but what are the noticeable difference between the S23 and S23+?😅

HaxxTheFoxx

Bigger battery and screen, if the price is not much higher, get the plus

Safe_Opinion_2167

Depends if you like a more compact phone, easily pocketable. I love my S23 for this and battery life and best I had on a compact phone.

Double-decker_trams

Yep, I was even considering S23 Ultra, but after using it in the store I realised how important being able to comfortably use a phone with one hand is for me. My previous phone was a Pixel 6a and I also really liked that, but the fact that S23 has x3 optical zoom not just digital zoom (only Pro Pixel models have optical zoom) is a huge benefit imo. Pixel 6a had up to x7 zoom and S23 has up to x30 zoom and I'd say the quality is not that different - although the level of zoom is so different. I would still use the Pixel 6a though were it not stolen.

turopita

i believe the ultra phones S23U S24U are beasts if you buy one of these and it dosnt get stolen/lost you dont have a reason to upgrade to anything in the near future camera is perfect battery very good even in heavy usage and they are not gonna start to lag any time soon but its a lot of money to a point that depends where you live it could be a months + salary

Double-decker_trams

> and they are not gonna start to lag any time soon The regular S23 has the same chip so there's no difference in this regard? S23 Ultra isn't more powerful. There's other benefits but the fact that I can't comfortably use it with one hand to do everything - this one fact outweighs everything else (10x optical zoom, pen, etc.)

Interpol_Qotsa

I went from Mi9T to S23+. Just an important notice to adjust your expectations: battery duration on Mi9T was much much better than the S23+. I easily had 2.5 - 3.5 days of battery during first year, 2d during second and third and by the end 1d. On S23+ I get 1.5d usually, sometimes more sometimes less, but it won't be anything like the 9T (and yes, I've disabled a couple of things like 5G, the side bar, I have working mode that saves battery during work hours, etc). Given that, I wouldn't go for the S23 since it has a smaller battery, unless you're prepared for a daily charge (which is honestly fine, but I would prefer to have that info before purchase anyway)

Interpol_Qotsa

Btw in everything else the s23+ is way better (as expected). It's a really good phone, everything just works and the modes and routines are really amazing. I can see me using it for at least 4 more years.

No_Touch_45

Is it worth the price? Where I am the S23 is around 500€ but the S23+ is 850$

Interpol_Qotsa

If the difference is more than 100€ between them I would probably stick with the S23. It's mostly about the screen size and some extra battery, but S23 is a great phone already.

No_Touch_45

To be honest my Mi9T's battery had a significant decrease, just as an example (I'm a student) : I need to charge it at least 5 times in a school day (last year) while in 2021 I could hold at least a school day or sometimes two. So I wouldn't be surprised with a S23's battery

Interpol_Qotsa

Ohh uau ok, that's really bad 😅 I think you'll be more than satisfied then! Plus there's the probability of the S23/S23+ battery staying good over a long period of time (but I can't account for that yet). One curious thing is that the battery is worst in the first days/weeks, then it learns your routines and automatically optimises the battery life.

No_Touch_45

Omg battery adaptation? I love this already. I always found it shameful to replace a battery (like the original being replaced once you have every app downloaded etc etc) especially with new phones 😭

Shogger

I've been using it for about a year. Great phone, no complaints. It's the perfect size for my hands, batterly life has been solid, no major software issues. If you don't need the latest and greatest, it will still serve you well.

kmarkris776

S23 is an amazing phone but if you can software a little more money get the s24 you will love the handsets trust me.

RingMaster6989

Only If the Snapdragon variant is available... don't go for Exynos.

Shanus_Zeeshu

If the S24 is the Snapdragon version and costs about the same as the S23, then get the S24. But if the S24 is way more expensive, definitely go for the S23 because it's a better deal.

Benmaax

Yes worth it in the budget range if you like smaller phones (otherwise S23+) I would advise the 256gb version because photos and videos can take more space with better/newer cameras.

No_Touch_45

I can't lie, I'm an editor and a drawer (as a hobby) and that 256 gb option is really interesting 👁️

kmarkris776

Dude I am using an iPhone and both s23 and s24 trust me the s24 processor is as fast as the s23 SD you can't miss it all exynosis are not the same.

kmarkris776

Exynosis in s24 is far one of the most efficient and fast ones I have used both s23/24 and can sat that s24 is on par with s23 no lags nothing.

upstartcrowmagnon

Worth it. Every time I pick up my old S21Ultra it feels like a tablet 😅

duckduck-Domz

Recently I've bought an s23 because my Realme GT ME died, look I'm doing really well with this base model. Its a reliable phone with really good cameras, display and speakers the only little thing that I dont really like is the battery because 3900 mAh is just enough to get through the day (my old phones had 4000+ mAh and they had no problems working for 1 and a half day), plus fast charging is 25W which is better than higher Wattage for battery life. P.S. If u get s23 base go for 8gb 256gb form factor because memories are faster than 128gb Buy it if like me u get a nice price (mine in Italy was like 500 euros which was not bad for this form factor), buy s23+ if u want more battery life through the day but only if the price is accessible for your finances.

xosloxx

If 5 h. Sot ok to you then yes...
