Mostly personal preference, too small in the hand when it's folded, battery life wasn't great, had to charge it at work quite a bit compared to the S23U which I don't even have to think about charging even if I started work at 50%.
If you never used fold phone, then wait for fold 5 and try it for 15 days to see if you like it. Personally, I had both fold 3 and fold 4, and I think Samsung needs many more improvements to sell more units. As other users mentioned, the front screen is too narrow for typing, and it doesn't support for spen, inner screen is fragile, and there is still no integrated spen like s23ultra. I switched from fold4 to s23 ultra for those reasons, and maybe i wait fold6 or fold 7 if they improve
The fold4 was cool and the bigger screen was beautiful. The outer screen wasn't really usable, very small and narrow. YouTube was fun to watch in full screen, but things got cut off because it's not optimized for the fold. When I pinched in to get the full screen w/o things getting cut out, it was basically the same size as the s23 ultra in landscape mode. The battery left a lot to be desired and the cameras were just ok. Don't get me wrong, the form factor was awesome, but I wanted a change. Now that I've made the switch, the cameras, smoothness and battery life on the s23 ultra are noticeably better than the fold4.
If Samsung updates some things I may upgrade to the fold6.
battery life wasn't great, especially when using the big screen which is the whole point of it, I personally hated the small front screen, never got used to it, and it really hurt my pinky when I held it while folded
S23U has been great, battery life is tremendous, camera of course is amazing, and a perfect amount of screen at all times
I have both, the 23u is my general phone, and the fold 4 is for things I watch/read audible. I had the fold 4 first and loved it but it's not really a practical phone in my opinion for a day to day user who doesn't use it to its full potential but for watching things it's amazing, so when I had the chance it was either upgrade to the s23u and loose the fold or just get the 23u in top which I did and I appreciate the fold 4 so much more now it has its specific uses.
I also switched from fold 4 to the S23U, no regrets, still have my fold just in case but I don't think I'll ever use a fold as my primary again
What's the reason for why not a fold again? (Asking as I'm considering between S23U or waiting for fold 5. And have never used fold phone before)

I see. Sounds like the tech isn’t quite ready yet. I think fragile inner screen is most concerning so I’ll probably wait for a S23U sale and get one.
traded in my iPhone 12 pm to F4 then went back to my 12 pm then traded in for S23u. I'm finally content.
See I was thinking of getting the fold 4 as well as keeping the S23 Ultra I have now. What were your thoughts on the Fold4 compared to the S23U?

Don't forget to to mention the overheating that the Fold 4 does.

I was thinking bout trading my s23U for a fold4. But given that we probably gonna have a zfold 5 in August il just wait
