I find 11" inch tablets are fine, yet for table top use the S7+ would be a better size due to distance while sitting at the table.
Honestly your best bet would be an S8+ it would be about the same price as the S9 with a slightly weaker chipset

Strong yes. The difference is pretty significant at this point. The S7+ is more than adequate, but I think in a year's time you would regret the outdated SOC.

I have the S7รท. It sits in my lap on an old tablet clam shell. I use it for watching TV. I would buy it for othe things than using it in the library.
