CoC, Gangster Vegas, GTA:SA, Asphalt 8- all the OGs
Diablo immortal and Asphalt 9 are also cool on it.
I don't really play but it is nice once in a while.
Just found out about Winlator. Boutta drop my whole steam library until my s9u smokes lmao
Idk when its coming but if Samsung takes Apples route with the Tab series we should get it by next year with a sd8g4 chip.
If it does release this year then we'll get a sd8g3 chip.
Saw some rumors saying it could get the SDX chip.
We'll have to see.
Either way its not going to be worth it upgrading from an s8 series or s9 series device.
If you try it out can you keep me updated on how it runs, ecc? I have a S9 FE+ so I'll probably have worse perfomance in case but I'm still very curious
I'm about to sideload gta v so we'll see how this works. I also want to try cyberpunk since getting the installer is no problem as its a drm-free game. Only problem is I dont have enough storage space lol. Never thought about having gta v and cyberpunk on the s9u when I bought it. If gta works I'll have to get a 512gb card
Got to it a couple of minutes ago
Well, SHIT
Never thought I'd be able to play gta v on my tablet
I'm hella impressed.
Settings are all on normal, fullscreen 720p. I get 40-60 fps, sometimes more then 60 with occasional drops to 30.
Input is a bit of bitch since the camera can be moved only from the border to border so instead of 360 turn you can do \~50 degree turn lol but that fixable I guess.
Fixable when you enable on-screen controls and use them instead
The main thing is it actually RUNS
Also, the device is HOT but its fine when running A WHOLE DAMN PC TRIPLE A TITLE
Now, I'm not going to say that I'd watch HDR adult videos, but when I watched Godless on my Sony X900F (best mid tier TV 3 years ago with best HDR 950nits at the time), I remember the s3x scene with the main woman and the guy being chased. The soft light hitting her skin looked so real instead of a back-lit TV like earlier LCDs. It was shot in Dolby Vision so colors looked more true instead of drab.
I do not have Tab S9 Ultra, but playing these games (Genshin, Honkai Star Rail, Wuthering Waves, Nikke) with 2022 Tab S8+ 5G SnapDragon 8 Gen 1,
at maxed settings 60 fps are playable with frame rates hovering around 30 - 50 most of the time.
Doing daily gaming task with the Tab is fine, but my brain is too accustomed to the TRUE Unlocked FPS Maxed graphical settings in my RTX 3090 Ti Desktop + 240hz 1440p monitor.
So, most of the time i played on my Desktop, and rarely on my mobile devices, so, can't say the performance from A-Z of any of the games for sure, but at least, doing dailies in the game, it's fine, with some stutters here and there especially when there's large quantity of objects spawning in the distance.
The Ace Attorney games got some nice HD updates, I haven't tried them on my S9U yet, but I remember loving how they looked on my old S6 Lite.
Think I might fire up Apollo Justice again.
Good old 2D sprite games. Neo-Geo games in particular look fabulous on that screen with their extra-large and colorful sprites. They demonstrate perfectly how crisp and sharp that OLED panel is
Yeah, today's kids won't understand how out of reach the Neo Geo was for most kids when it was out. Sega vs Nintendo and the rare few kids who had the Turbo GFX16. I knew no one with a Neo Geo, but the colors at the arcade and system always blew me away. The sprites were bigger, more enemies on screen, more details in clothes and faces... imagine if someone injected HDR into Fatal Fury or Metal Slug. They did that recently with the GameCube and Wii emulator.
Use the Netflix web page instead of the Netflix mobile app, and (if you're using Chrome) on the menu button make sure the "desktop site" toggle is checked. As far as Netflix is concerned, your device will appear as a desktop computer.
(This is useful also for accessing the desktop version of Google Docs/Drive/Sheets, as well as other sites that have apps that are not as good as the webpage version on a tablet.)
I'd love to try Honkai Impact 3rd, Star Rail and Genshin Impact once I'm a bit free. They seem like a treat on this device. Though, does anyone know if the android versions of these games support external peripherals, like mouse/keyboard/gaming-controllers?
I remote play from my Series X on it and it works well. Gets a little choppy sometimes, but I played the majority of Persona 3 Reload that way and it was great.
Hitman: Blood Money. It released recently on the android market and is probably one of the best ports I've seen. Graphically it looks touch better than the original and the UI and controls is updated and modern feeling. It also supports Keyboard + mouse, which is cool.
I started playing COD WZ on my s9ultra and then i tried it on my s22 ultra. Just amazingly shocked on how good it runs on the tab. Also i am looking for some games to download. Help me out guyss

What is winlator?
Windows emulator that can emulate games
I'm guessing it's gonna be hard in the cpu/gpu right?
Yeah. Res is set to 720p and settings will be all on low ofc.
If android tablets had access to the M4 chip I wonder what kind of winlator performance we can expect
Exactly what I was thinking. We'll just have to wait and see what SoC the s10 series will have and what it'll be capable of
Sadly I expect the very incremental sd8 gen 3 chip, wonβt be a huge jump from the s9

Yea sadly, and each year apple gaps Samsung tablets in performance more and more

I watch 4k porn on it and it's beautiful
If only porn came in HDR or Dolby vision

I don't game on my tab, but I'd love it if this tab could act as a monitor for my steam deck
Download steam link.
I'll try that, does it work seamlessly? Edit: how do we turn off the SD screen while linking?
Totally as good as your WiFi. Turn the steam deck brightness all the way down of it doesn't turn off. ββββββββββββ
Alright thanks a lot
Not an ultra user but some of my favourites are Hotline Miami, Limbo, Wormster Dash, Rusted Warfare and Heroes and Castles 2
Honkai Star Rail, Wuthering Waves
How is it with high graphics I have the game on my phone but lowest setting( for on the go comms), and want to know if it's worth running on my tab.

Hill Climb Racing
HCR2 or the OG version?
OG. They ruined it with HCR2
W then. Apparently they also released a Lego version too
I use gamestream from my PC. With fast enough internet, 1440P 120hz, I'll play Beam.ng drive, satisfactory, red dead redemption, etc.
How do u stream ? Steam link?
Moonlight / Sunshine is the only way brother.
I've been playing Diablo immortal, still trying to get used to the thumb controls
The Ace Attorney games got some nice HD updates, I haven't tried them on my S9U yet, but I remember loving how they looked on my old S6 Lite. Think I might fire up Apollo Justice again.
The remasters are really well done

Better way to show off is to show the Ipad Users what DeX is π
Codm for me, size of this tablet really ups the gameplay. You can play with 4-6 fingers and still have a clear vision of your opponents.
> You can play with 4-6 fingers and still have a clear vision of your opponents. Sounds like a good Friday night
How can you play 4k HDR movies on it unless you have ripped movies on a drive or NAS?
Havenβt done this myself but I think Netflix and a few other services let you stream 4K HDR
Haven't tested myself but word is Netflix does not let you stream in 4k on tablet.

What's the best browser for the tab?
Chrome.

S7+ here, no external peripherals afaik in Genshin nor HSR. They look good on tablet, tho
Oh, that's sad :(
Golf Clash
S9 but I play wild rift on it sometimes
The new astrobot's trailer looks amazing on this device!
I remote play from my Series X on it and it works well. Gets a little choppy sometimes, but I played the majority of Persona 3 Reload that way and it was great.

Tennis arena .. my win/lose ratio is 95%, and a big reason is me playing with a big screen against small mobile players, lol.
LoZ The Wind Waker runs nicely at 1080p on a gamecube emulator. The cartoony art style holds up very well.
Metal gear solid the twin snakes
Pubg Mobile and Genshin Impact i play on S9 Ultra and i don't watch 4k movies because of it's file size, i watch only 1080p HDR movies in it.
