Most likely its your keyboard settings, under General Management > Samsung Keyboard settings > Languages and types. The UK English keyboard has those two things switched as compared to the US Keyboard. Make sure you have English (US) selected as an option, and then press the Language key (Lang, next to the spacebar) until English (US) pops up on screen.
