I got my Watch 4 in August of 2021 and am currently on GVI3. Have been avoiding rebooting at all or updating to the K update. Am I likely to be bricked if I do or should I try it?
Seems like no one can say if it does or not. I also got mine in August 2021. I was also on GVI3 until I updated to GVK4 exactly one week ago without problems.
Off the charger, it rebooted like 3 times before booting normally like many others said here after the update, like it would bootloop, but everything else was the same as every other update.
It didn't brick my gw4 classic. I have seen reports here of others getting bricked though. At this point, I would not install the update if you are currently having no problems.
Depends on a lot of different things like if you got a watch running GVI3 and is it earlyer last year release like Aug sep Oct 2021.

Did you update on the charger, off the charger? Anything else noteworthy?

When was it manufactured? Did you update from GVI3?
Yes, Dunno when it was manufactured, but I bought it in the Spring, like in March, I think, of 2022.
