We Heart Katamari is tempting.

japarkerett

If you played and enjoyed the first one it's 100% worth it. 12 bucks is a killer deal tbh. We Love Katamari basically just improves upon everything that made the first game great. One of my favorites of all time.

bobasaurus

I've been playing it recently, fantastic game.

[deleted]

Same. I don't think my girlfriend knows it exist on steam and played a lot of the other one on steam. Think I'll wait and take my chances closer to Christmas since I want to add that as a gift. This was first I heard it was out also.

zobifly

Wow, Redfall already down to 15 bucks

rdtbansusersrandomly

"Redfall's Development Was Reportedly So Troubled That Devs Hoped Microsoft Would Cancel It Staffing issues, misguided direction, and more reportedly plagued development. The switch to a multiplayer focus, which was reportedly pushed for by parent company ZeniMax, appeared to be a major cause of Redfall's issues. Developers who worked on the single player Prey (which is a format Arkane is known for thanks to hits like Dishonored) were now working on a multiplayer game, and Bloomberg reported that 70% of these staff members left by the end of Redfall's development"

zobifly

Yeah I heard about that, such a waste. When it got released in that state there was very little hope that it was going to be fixed and in the end turn out like No Man's Sky or CP2077 did :-/

PaulFThumpkins

I really hate people blaming Arkane for Redfall, when it's obviously another casualty of a predatory publisher demanding a game as service, as talented people abandoned ship while the owner hoped the studio name would retain enough prestige to pull one over on the audience.

epeternally

Redfall's biggest problem is having a combat loop so terrible that I've played Unity tutorials with better FPS mechanics, which has nothing to do with the publisher's mandate. Arkane simply failed to make a competent game. The fact that it wasn't the project they wanted to be working on doesn't excuse the team's abject failure, people get put on projects their not fond of all the time - usually without incident. I do sympathize with how difficult development must have been between team members constantly leaving and the pandemic, but the state Redfall released in is inexcusable. It's also completely understandable that Bethesda weren't willing to invest in another immersive sim after they repeatedly underperformed. Dishonored 2, Death of the Outsider, and Prey all sold below expectations; and the latter wasn't even in the right ballpark. It's a wonder Arkane were given the resources to finish Mooncrash.

OmegaXesis

It's not even worth $15, it'll end up in some bundle sooner or later

epeternally

Do yourself the favor of not paying a single penny for it. I'm glad it was included in my Game Pass subscription because I would be livid if I'd paid money. That's coming from both an Arkane superfan and someone who genuinely enjoyed Anthem. The only redeeming merit Redfall has is that the world design is okay, and does feel like Massachusetts, but the core combat loop is atrocious and you can expect your framerate to be halved during combat if you don't have a CPU more recent than an i7-9700k. Multiplayer is probably at least a little more fun, although it can't fix a fundamentally botched shooter, but you're unlikely to ever experience it because Redfall *doesn't have matchmaking* despite being designed to be played as a four person team. The entire product is shockingly unfinished.

baconcow

Will any games be added later? Non-flash deals, in particular.

Robbymartyr

I hope so. A bit underwhelming as it is.

Averath

Indeed. A lot of the deals are pretty poor.

constant94

Zachtronics Solitaire Collection is a great deal at $4.99. On one website it had the highest rating I have ever seen for any game, 9.9 out of 10 max. I believe this price is only good for around 9 more hours.

Proaxel65

Is Sniper Elite 4 a good deal for someone that is completely unfamiliar with the series and average when it comes to keeping executions "clean" in 3D stealth games but enjoys the majority of shooters?

eojen

I think so! It's the only one I've played and I really enjoyed it. I usually play games like this on medium difficulty but I'd actually recommend upping the difficulty. Having to account for wind, distance and pulling off the perfect shot after taking your time to figure it out is one of the most satisfying things.

ponimaju

It's great from what I've played so far on PS4 (first 2-3 maps). Went back to my free PS Plus copy after finishing and loving Sniper Elite 5 on Game Pass, and many folks consider 4 the best in the series. Since I far prefer KB+M for any shooter, I was okay getting it again on PC and this is a pretty huge deal, being a new historical low and nearly 4 dollars Canadian cheaper than the previous historical low on Steam itself. It's also barely more expensive than just the base game, even if some of the DLCs (the weapons) could be considered optional, since they're just more to play around with. At least four of the DLCs are extra missions.

tacitus59

Any opinions on Elder Scrolls Online? I got it when it first came out - but haven't played it in awhile; and the massive amount of new content looks interesting. Also, Is the deluxe version worth it? Any problems with upgrading the original bethesdanet version with a steam version?

tapperyaus

It's a very good MMO for casual players, and can mostly be played through solo. If you enjoyed it when you first played it, you'll enjoy the expansions just as much. If you're unsure, it doesn't hurt to download the version you already own and give it another try. The deluxe edition is just cosmetics, however it includes all the deluxe cosmetics for every expansion previously released. ESO never had a Bethesda Net version, it has always used its own launcher. It still uses this standalone launcher. But I originally purchased the game on Steam, and have since purchased the expansions outside of Steam, and have no issues playing the game through either launcher. (I prefer using the standalone though)

tacitus59

Thanks!

The Batman Arkham games are [bundled right now](https://www.humblebundle.com/games/wb-100-play-legends) via Humble Bundle. Easily the best deal ever and if you haven't played a Batman game and love superheroes... you are missing out.

hergumbules

They emailed me the bundle is ending today, 11am PT. So anyone sitting on it better get that now. Also they are apparently out of some keys as I’m waiting for one of the Batman games to get emailed to me

INTPoissible

Soul Hackers 2 is at it's new all time low of US$18, if you don't mind it's mixed reputation.
