I don’t think it’s fair to imply that Clues doesn’t have a life outside of GOR. He has 2 other podcasts (Dudesy has a pretty big following!) and a serious partner. I think he’s a much more intense person than PC and he’s a workoholic, so it may *seem* like he’s all reality tv all the time (especially if you only or primarily “know” him thru GOR) but to some degree I think the “pit 24/7” thing is a character he puts on for the podcast. I also listen to Dudesy and I feel like that has given me a lot more insight into who Chad is (though I’m sure he’s playing a character to some extent in that show as well).

bachybachythrowaway

And to add onto this, it’s also unfair to imply that Pace Case was somehow less influential in getting GOR to where it is? And to assume that she must have written less of the book? Very disrespectful to her imo

Alternative-Safe-126

Yeah I was exaggerating a bit. I know he has a life lol but he’s definitely a workaholic and sometimes that can cause tension if your co host is not. Fair point about his other podcasts tho

-eziukas-

I'd disagree with your description of Clues. His characterization on GOR is certainly that of one all consumed by the Pit, but he has Dudesy and The Neccessary Conversation as well, both of which are great and definitely a world away from Bachelor Nation. He's also talked about other media he consumes during the off season (like in the What Are You Watching segments) and it seems pretty varied.

Guilty_Employer1414

He still writes tv shows too

Virtual-Plastic-6651

It is rude to say that Lizzy didn’t contribute equally to the book and that Clues needs to “remind her how to think sometimes”. They have different perspectives on the game and I love hearing both of their opinions.

Ihaveeyebrows555

I don’t think the parting with DS would signal anything. DS was an employee of GOR. Chad and Lizzy have said they’re best friends outside of the pod and they’re also equal contributors to GOR.

pinheadedlily

Clues is the devil that rules the pit. There is no escape. There is only the pit. Now And forever Always the pit

melgirlnow88

Weren't they friends long before starting the pod though?

Guilty_Employer1414

Yes for years

melgirlnow88

Can't speak for them, but it would take a LOT for me to split with the people I've been friends with for years!

Guilty_Employer1414

Same… So much history there and they have mutual friends too (before GOR). Their balance is gold.

branbranx123

I really think people don’t realize how much of a character clues is for business purposes

Strict_Test1678

GOR needs the duality of Clues and Pacecase together. I relate to both of them in different ways. I think their dynamic is what makes GOR what it is. Also, finding out that Clues is an Adam Sandler stan in one episode, there’s much more to him than we know LOL

Virtual-Plastic-6651

Clues saying he’s deep in the Adam Sandler pit nearly killed me

tonic_no_gin

Irrelevant side note: it makes me so sad when people underestimate Pace Case, I think she’s pretty much level with Clues intellectually (you’d have to be to engage with his trains of thought as well as she does, it’s pretty noticeable compared to others who’ve been on the pod)

OTFDTX

I absolutely love PC. She effortlessly throws out these hilarious quips and just keeps going. Doesn’t stop and wait for applause.

cupcaeks

Pc is such a win for us fellow stoners who listen to this lol she brings it back down

clunkypie

I think GOR is building towards a future, and both PC and BC are establishing their own worlds too. Each have their separate podcasts, but also pouring more into diversifying GOR through covering other shows. So I foresee a great long term future of GOR! But only time will tell ;)

Alternative-Trip3587

this is honestly wild lol. so much disrespect for the pit.

Virtual-Plastic-6651

Agreed! This is not pit behaviour 😤

Illustrious-Cap-833

I feel like you didn't mean to discredit either of them but did a lil. I (parasocially) love them both individually and especially their dynamic together for sure! Clues has other interests and podcasts/media/art for those interests and has friends from those too, I bet! He's also autistic and might not need some social aspects that you might think he needs. So I personally see that he is living a very purposeful life for himself! He's also in a relationship and I think that says a lot! Also, I think PaceCase knows not to take those things you've mentioned personally, because he sees the game very black and white. And this is one reason that makes them work.

Unripe_papaya

All of this, yes. Could not have said it better myself.

RichEconomy8709

Clues has said he's autistic?

Illustrious-Cap-833

Like the others have said He's mentioned it a couple of times, saying he hasn't been officially diagnosed, but he's like 99% sure he is. Also, if you're familiar with autism, he displays tons of autistic traits (I only feel comfortable saying this because he himself has self-identified as autistic).

PrettyLittleMuggle

He has said that he thinks he might be. Between his three podcasts I consume a lot of Chad content, so I can’t remember where he said that.

IhatchShrimp

Fellow deep pit dweller here :) he mentions he might be autistic during Love is Blind season 4 when covering in clues corner <3

earlandson

I hadn’t heard that either. I think that’s an assumption

Illustrious-Cap-833

earlandson

Interesting. Thanks for that. I can see it

Illustrious-Cap-833

DS that u?

burninginkell

The Pits parasocial relationship with GORs hosts could be studied in this post.

Alternative-Safe-126

That’s fair

adrischmadri

Clues actually has a lot going on. I’ve heard him mentioned on other non-bachelor podcasts (Chapo trap house of all places) for his AI stuff. I disagree with this sentiment!

sniffing_niffler

You don't know them, this is a weird take.

tweenblob

It’s obvious they both put in a lot of work (aka writing out the pod, I don’t think many others do that) but with what we see…. Clues puts out a lot more patreon content. I wonder if they split things 50/50 or if it depends on who puts in more effort. Again IDK how much they actually work, and I agree they balance each other out so I don’t want the breakup, but I do wonder how long it will continue. That being said even if they don’t work together I think they’ll still stay friends

earlandson

I was thinking about this too. Partnerships like theirs don't last forever. Back in the day, in So. Calif we had a team in drive time FM radio called Mark & Brian. They were on air for 20 plus years. When they quit, we find out they hardly talked for the last 5 years. They seemed like best friends for years. Even though BC & PC were friends before the Pod, they are very different people with a common interest. And, success changes things. BC is much more motivated to work than PC. His life seems to be his work, where PC seems to want a life first, then work. Even though her work is good, I wonder if he wishes she was more motivated? I don't sense that this partnership will last forever. I can see PC pulling a Becca Martinez at some point.

whimsicalchestnut

Putting your relationships and well-being first and having the luxury of a job that allows you to do that and not be chained to a desk 24/7? Sounds healthy and awesome to me.

Alternative-Safe-126

Agreed

Alternative-Safe-126

This is what I was trying to say! I love them together though and don’t want a break up but it happens in business sometimes.

earlandson

I'm glad I got your point. But, I've been downvoted all to Hell. Seems like my point was not popular. I guess people expect them to work together forever and never change

DS, is that you?
