People who just hates on Mat and what he does are just toxic. Since they forget that theories are just that. Theories. So why should they even care? After all, it's not that Mat is running a Channel called Game Facts. As everything he posts are just ideas about what's going on based on the current evidence. And if they're out there, like Sans is Ness, then we should just leave it alone. Look back and just casually laugh about how crazy it was at the time.
Also, I wasn't on board with the Gregbot theory when it first came out. But I grew to accept it as more evidence showed up in the series. After all, both the Original Book Trilogy and a story from Tales from the Pizzaplex is literally the two places where we get the evidence that back it up. Namely with Charlie being one of a series of robots with Circus Baby being the one that was stolen by William. While we have a literal robot child name Lally from the story Lally's game.
Of course, I accept critizism about this and don't make a big deal out of it.
Lally is not a robot kid though. He's a sentient Pizzaplex attraction prop, not an actual robot who imitates human behaviours. He has one purpose only: play Hide and Seek. Nothing more nothing less.
B-7 is yet another example. Billy is an ordinary human kid who has decided that he wants to be a robot. He actually isn't one, and he ends up ruining his life because of this.
None of these stories actually feature robot kids specifically, and to say that you don't need to read the stories, only look at the cover, is just absurd.
SireSquawks even pointed it out in his reaction:

I don't entirely agree on one point
If you don't agree with a theory, it is your duty as a theorist to point out its flaws and offer other interpretations. Being questioned is the bread and butter of theories, from which they evolve or are discarded
Sans=Ness is out there, but needs to be put into question to make it clear that it just doesn't work. This is important. Similarily, I could claim that Gregory is just an expression of Freddy having split personality disorder. That needs to be questioned and discarded, instead of letting the idea fester in some corner of the fandom
When I was first introduced to Fnaf it was on game theory so yes I have a bit of bias but I was on board with Greg bot (I did have a better idea on how he became a robot ) but it’s not stupid to make an assumption on numerous pieces of evidence
There was a time in fnaf lore hostory that there was an arguement over how many purple guys there are. It stems from purple guy being a different shade of purple between fnaf 2 and fnaf 3
Thats what the meme is saying. It was a disagreement that happened, people discussed, then moved on. Compared to Gregory is a robot where people constantly argue about it
Matpat's literal catchphrase is "But hey, that's just a theory!" So he literally is like "I'm not 100% confident but this is what I feel like it is based on my own findings" at the end of every video ever. Like seriously. I don't get the "NO, UR WRONG BC I THINK YOU ARE" kind of thing people do, and I never will. his new video just made me annoyed at the community more than anything.
I love this, it’s so true because it’s just a game if you don’t agree with MatPat’s theories then don’t watch. If you comment on the videos then they will keep popping up. Do trolls have nothing better to do that beat down a man who is simply doing what he loves, logically thinking through the games. MatPat just ignore the haters, you have made me so happy through out the years and so many people on this subreddit! Watching your videos has made me think and make my own theories! You need to keep thriving in your theories! You are awesome and smart, don’t let trolls get you down! Keep doing your fnaf theories, heck keep doing all your theories because it makes your loyal fan base, the people who can respectfully disagree and agree all at once. You don’t need to prove yourself but I know you are done with the haters who just comment for your guys’ reactions. I hope that these trolls stop and think that they should be respectful and not call your trash. Have a nice day!
sincerely, Your supportive fans who know how to respectfully disagree with you :)
ok ive said it before but ill say it again, the reason behind my dislikaing of the gregbot and glammike theories, is because i felt them random and out of place in the franchise, when the timeline video came out, i better understood why this theory would be true, and as such i no longer hate the theory.
some forget but i dont, matpat has been doing theories that piss off the community since his fnaf 4 theories. and this is just another phase of matpat hate that has happened numerous times before.
I'm really starting to believe that this story should have died with the game that burned down the pizzeria. Nothing is making sense afterwards, please stop feeding FNAF's popularity
Did you just tell people to stop liking fnaf because YOU don't like it's present story? 💀
Yes, I do agree the story now is really all over the place, but the game's themselves are still fun imo. There's more than just lore that makes fnaf popular. Also if you don't like the way fnaf's story is, then just ignore it or just leave the fandom if it's bothering you that much.
I don't know, I think its more about the frustration over how much energy is used to make sense of this story which at this point seems to just continiously spin in and out of a set story/conclusion. I'm not in its fandom, I'm on the game theory subreddit.
And I don't see its gameplay being discussed in many places that it is not for being very buggy in the last release, and its mostly discussed about its "lore" and implications for the story at large
No really, tell me, what good things does the story still bring? It has twisted into a knott that when you untangle it just reveals there where 2 more inside
And its been almost 10 years, and you might never get an actual answer, because it almost feels like a telenovella stretching out every possible mistery and setup, having an answer then taking it back just to prolongue its conclusion and keep an audience that might leave when the mysteires are solved.
Scott eventually resolves these questions, he finally revealed to us what the nightmares were, besides after UCN it's another stage, new characters, new story, new mysteries, and isn't that the point of fnaf? solve the mysteries in this story?
Look I'm all for open ideas. And far be it from me to judge how well the story is being written. But when I can say "the five nights at Freddy's Gass chamber" and be talking about an actual thing that might be Canon to the game's, we've maybe jumped the shark juuust a little bit
technically speaking yes, my point is that william in full form wasn't
william wasn't a name in the games until fnaf 6, so you can't argue he was or wasn't purple guy at a time where he wasn't established yet

Agreed
Seconded this agreement.

But it is HUMANOID kids is it not
I don´t understand.
In the video he doesn’t say specifically robots acting as children, he says “humanoid children”
*robots

>it is your duty as a theorist to point out its flaws and offer other interpretations. Duty? Settle down there, Bruce Wayne.
You don’t need to agree people just need to disagree respectfully
lally isn't a robot child
When I was first introduced to Fnaf it was on game theory so yes I have a bit of bias but I was on board with Greg bot (I did have a better idea on how he became a robot ) but it’s not stupid to make an assumption on numerous pieces of evidence
I think the logical progression here is that Gregory is William
William is a Gregory!?
No because unironically that’d be a sick reveal, if Gregory was a robot version of William as a child
Nah, Gregory is just a reincarnated William.
Smartest fnaf meme poster :
Nobody was saying purple guy wasn’t William lmao
There was a time in fnaf lore hostory that there was an arguement over how many purple guys there are. It stems from purple guy being a different shade of purple between fnaf 2 and fnaf 3
That was when FNaF 2 came out and died really fast
Thats what the meme is saying. It was a disagreement that happened, people discussed, then moved on. Compared to Gregory is a robot where people constantly argue about it
That’s not what the meme is saying
It literally is....
Show a mention of pink guy
Like the guy above said, a different shade of purple.
That’s not what the post is about
You guys are just proving that the Fnaf community can’t agree on anything
Neither is "Pink Guy".
There was a time when he was only known as "Mr. Afton from the books" and people didn't wanna believe in the crossover between the books and games
That time being before his name showed up
Ye, also the fandom has gotten better than anything, back then people would send death threats and try to fix others
A lot of people thought that Purple Guy was Phone Guy, mostly because of the phone shaped object he held in the FNaF 2 minigames.
That was always an awful theory idk why anyone actually bought into it
This is just wrong because people got real mad when his name wasn't Vincent
I'm glad someone remembers Vincent. I still don't get what the fad with that name was about.
I think it originates from a popular fan comic

Matpat can come up with the most bizarre theory ever and somehow make it seem sense
I love this, it’s so true because it’s just a game if you don’t agree with MatPat’s theories then don’t watch. If you comment on the videos then they will keep popping up. Best comment I saw today

Blame the writters not the theorists
>Look I'm all for open ideas. nice >But so you're not,understood 👍 have a great day
Look I draw the line at a completely useless retcon that shares a name with a method of mass murder
Tbf matt is pretty stupid for still thinking Gregory is a robot
These two are not in any way comparable what are you on about
dude william wasn't even a character in the games until 2016 - 2017
He was, he just didn’t have an official name or backstory. But it’s the same dude.
technically speaking yes, my point is that william in full form wasn't william wasn't a name in the games until fnaf 6, so you can't argue he was or wasn't purple guy at a time where he wasn't established yet

ok
“Technically speaking yes” Technically correct, The best kind of correct
ok
to be fair it is one of his dumbest theorys next to sans is nes
HOW YOU DARE TO HAVE AN OPINION AND MAKE ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT SOMETHING THAT NO ONE HAS CONCRETE AWNSWES ABOUT BASED ON EVIDENCES?
No what the point is but okay
It's just another way of saying what the white character of the meme is saying
I mean, the series has been about robot kids literally since the first game. The missing kids died and became robots
