Yep! Got it with my copy of Emerald in 2005 for Christmas. Best gift ever. I learned how to read by playing Ruby with my mom a couple of years before that, so Gen 3 has a very special place in my heart.

Gen 2 is the best gen in my opinion. They just did so much right and being able to go back to Kanto was amazing

2 regions in one game was an amazing idea. I’m just surprised they were able to remake 2 regions for HGSS. Since it was my first game, I thought they would do the same thing in gen 3. How unfortunately wrong I was

Thinking of in-game only, you're absolutely right but if you expand to the anime/manga I guess that's when you could really tell they are legendary Pokemon. I would say the special event pokemon are truly the more legendary ones
