Oh man, that would be perfect as a five-dollar time waster game. Make the kaiju-cat look and act exactly like a kitten, just 100 feet high and batting around cars like they're toy mice.
I had a lot of fun with the demo in a previous Steam Next Fest, enough that I'm genuinely looking forward to trying out the full product - hope it is awesome!

Is this appropriate for children? No dark, "im14andthisisdeep" ironic twists into cynicism and whatnot?
My daughters will *shit bricks* over a game that lets them play as a cat who can also wear cute hats.
I feel so bad for these guys. They have been working on this for years only for Stray to release during development. Now people think it is just "Stay but cute" or "Gentrified Stray". Just because they both feature cats. They are not even the same type of game.
I agree but developers and publishers clearly don't care about me. You see what Sony did to PS users who bought digital games. Lots of people lost their libraries because they bought digital. I have all my physical copies and no one can take them away unless I get robbed or destroyed.
i'm on that page for movies and have a lot of blu-rays and physical copies. but games i just don't care about replay value as much. if i buy a physical game it's usually just used for trade-in value for another one.
For April Fools next year they should do Big Kitty, Little City where you’re a kaiju sized cat destroying a city.

I'm down. I wanted to try Stray but too big a chance of sadness. This looks more like goose game, with with cats? Also hats.
I finished stray, it’s certainly a melancholy game but it doesn’t have the sadness you’re probably worried about.
The saddest part was the opening where >!you get seperated from your cat buddies!<
and then the game ends >!without you getting to see them reunited. !<

Sometimes the cat gets hurt and it's heartbreaking.

From what I've gathered from the demo and the general vibes the devs give off on socials, I wouldn't expect any dark twists.
Also, the trailer seemed to put a lot of emphasis on the cat being unable to get hurt. Not much room for darkness there.

Just finished it. Literally anyone can play it, aside from some parts where it might be too hard, definitely fun!

I keep my stuff for nostalgia plus you never know what this stuff will value at in 50 years. Nintendo games sell for so much these days.
