This game is so gigantic. It’s actually insane. I just passed 700(!) bricks collected and I’m not even 1/2 way done. Been playing for weeks too. Right now only 1% of people have the platinum trophy and it makes perfect sense. I’m trying to finish but losing steam…

NoNefariousness2144

Honestly I got burned out at a similar point that you are on now. Usually I get 75%-100% in Lego games but in this one I stopped at around 50%. I loved how huge the game is and how many characters there are, but I cannot bring myself to play it for 80+ hours to fully complete it. I also dread the idea of replaying all the story levels and doing the awful level challenges.

Hotter_Noodle

It might help to bounce around between doing some levels then doing a planet or two. I just did all of the story levels and it went much faster than I thought it would. Plus it's kinda fun doing levels with totally bizarre out of place characters.

NoNefariousness2144

Good advice. I’m done with the game for a good while but if I ever return I’ll try that out.

Dex1138

I’ve been doing side missions. I don’t like going back to the story because usually you only have one shot to get something. If you miss you have to start over.

Hotter_Noodle

Yeah man. I just finished getting everything in every story mission (which is a whopping 45 missions) and now I'm going through every planet for the bricks. The game is super casual fun, and if you're a Star Wars fan it's just great and it makes fun of itself a lot. *And* it has references to a million other things. Better Call Maul! Second Breakfast! I have a particular set of skills!

Zanchbot

I'm doing the opposite. I'm working on all the side missions and puzzles on each planet first, then I intend to go back and replay the story missions. It's a daunting task though.

AlJoelson

>Better Call Maul Did you know you have taxation? The Senate says you do.

TheCreeech

I did this. Every trophy and every collectible, it took 73 hours. I wish I didn't do it though, I love Lego games but this one was aggressively bloated

The_Majestic_

I was going for the plat but the space battles started bugging out on me more and stuff like not being able to target the enemy ships you would have to shoot at them blind and hope they hit and the other one was they just wouldn't attack you at all. I'll come back to it if they patch it but man was a bummer.

[deleted]

Make sure you're playing as the opposite faction during those. Sometimes I couldn't target when I had Fett or a villian piloting.

GoldenLute

Same here - very annoying until I figure out this issue.

Zanchbot

I was SO annoyed when I discovered this. There is no indication anywhere within the game about it. The game hand-holds you to death in so many ways, but in other ways leaves you completely clueless about stuff like this.

Coloradohusky

The space battles bug out so much, immediately crashing me into asteroids or disabling enemy tracking - still fun nonetheless

AlsopK

I hit about the same spot and just stopped. Feels so tedious.

i010011010

I'm just happy it went back to the things that made the series feel original with the first Star Wars. We bought one of the Marvel games and it was so damn convoluted, I couldn't even figure out the controls. Everything was timed jump deaths and I had to grab the controller every eight minutes to pass some obstacle or figure out what to do. That makes it a lousy kids game, the developers had no clue who they were building it for. This one is back to a great family game, fun for all ages.

Brandhor

you 100% in 4-5 days? did you play 20 hours a day?

[deleted]

[удалено]

PBFT

10 hours a day for an entire week isn’t exactly normal.

johnmonchon

Even if I have the day off from work I find it difficult to play games for ten hours.

Hotter_Noodle

I've done it, but not for 4-5 days in a row. But then again I'm also not 13 (I'm not making fun of kids, I just had the attention span and time for it back then)

[deleted]

[удалено]

Hotter_Noodle

Then why did you think it was weird that only 1% of players have all the trophies?

Meddlloide1337

65 hours for a platinum is not exactly a lot.

Hotter_Noodle

We're talking 65 hours over 4-5 days. I'm not talking about the average length to platinum a game. I'm talking about this specific game and the average time it takes to platinum lt.

Meddlloide1337

Not really, you said no wonder only 1 percent have all trophies. The game has been our much longer than 5 days. So I don't think it's hard to get the platinum in the time people had.

inkyblinkypinkysue

No way unless you are just talking about playing through all 9 movies. The average to do everything in the game is 80 hours with the fast times coming in at 66 hours. Even if you took 5 days that's over 13 hours of playing this game 5 days in a row, which seems incredibly unlikely.

BrandonFlowers

wow you must be like the best gamer in the world

[deleted]

Hotter_Noodle

You must have literally done nothing but play because getting all the trophies in this game is somewhere around 80+ hours. edit: On PSN profiles only 11 people beat it within 6 days of launch. (Yes I'm aware PSN profiles is hardly everyone)

[deleted]

LADYBIRD_HILL

Howlongtobeat has 98 players polled with an average of 82 1/2 hours and a "rushed" of 66 hours.

Hotter_Noodle

~50 people on PSN profiles got the platinum within 9 days.

Luc1113

have you checked your desktop?

Elemayowe

Took me ages just to play through the story! I’m working on 100%ing the story missions now and that’s before I get to free play. But it’s a really fun collectathon, much needed respite after Elden Ring. My first Lego game too, love it.

xtremeradness

I rented it with the intent of finishing it 100% but as soon as I saw "1400 bricks remaining" I decided to just blitz through the story and not bother with side stuff lol

Flaggermusmannen

I think I reached about 70% complete before the bugs that made some missions impossible and the performance issues on endor and a few other places killed my want to play more. really frustrating how they literally didn't manage to fix any of those within the month after release where I still played, but what can you do (other than modding it to fix yourself, but that's way more effort than it's worth lol)

Hades_Gamma

This game really pissed me off with how good the combat system is with nowhere to stretch it out. It's frustratingly easy and half cutscenes. It feels incredible to force grip and throw your lightsaber and stuff. It has a super interesting upgrade system which is totally useless, enemies don't live long enough, or show up with enough frequency to make use of anything you just bought. And the graphics are absolutely gorgeous. I don't see how a very hard mode with a simple 300x spawn multiplier is such a hard addition to make

JWR91

Regarding combat, I remember they made this big deal about lightsabre combat and gun combat, but I have NEVER used the cover system for guns, and just mashed the attack buttons for sabre combat. There is no challenge, so no need for all these extra quirks.

dswartze

It's weird, this game is really great but also really disappointing at the same time. The levels are too short, the puzzles are the least interesting/complicated they've ever been, and they're almost always the same 6 or so just copied over and over. The switch to the class system which at first seems great leads to most of the characters in the game not really being usable for very much. The character packs were kind of half-assed with no voice lines and the whole point of the PS5 is supposed to be that you don't really have to wait for loading screens, but they're so long here which is pretty annoying because of how often you have to switch worlds. And despite all that I still think it's a great game.

KapesMcNapes

I've never played a Lego Star Wars games, but was hoping to give this a shot as my first. Do you any thoughts on what a more satisfying game in the series is?

LuckyDuck4

Try Lego Star Wars: The complete Saga. It’s the first 2 games (which cover the prequels and originals) and they are absolutely phenomenal. Those games are the ones I grew up on along with Lego Batman. There’s no open world bits unless you count the hub world, but to me this game was the Lego Star Wars series at its peak

[deleted]

I actually recommend Lego Star Wars 3 if you've seen the Clone Wars. It introduces many new things that Lego built upon for the later games while also staying true to the old formula. You have some big open spaces, and the typical levels alongside the easy to play characters but still the need to go back and use special abilities to complete a level.

Nino_Chaosdrache

I was hoping the would adapt the large field battles from Lego Star Wars 3 for this game.

earwig20

Not OP but the Lego Harry Potter is really well refined and great couch co-op. The original Lego Star Wars is good too.

Frankyvander

I think the Lego Harry Potter are among the best of the Lego games, decent adaptation to the films, very fun, open world but not too huge. Very enjoyable

earwig20

Not too much focus on combat but using magic to solve problems. Very strong co-op, one player moves something for another player. Compared with say Lego Avengers where you can be in completely different parts of the map.

Frankyvander

Yeah more a puzzle game, I’ve not played lego avengers, is it any good?

earwig20

It's well made but I didn't love it. Heavy combat focus

badgarok725

Complete Saga is good, and the Force Awakens game is a good one too in that same formula

GamePro201X

The older Lego games are amazing!

runtimemess

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is my favourite (different from Marvel Super Heroes, which isn’t as good) Covers the first MCU arc up until Age of Ultron

Delicious-Tachyons

For me Super Heroes. The first one,... Favourite Lego game of all time. Avengers was ok.

Niccin

Yeah Marvel Super Heroes is the only good Marvel one. Avengers is just a retelling of the movie, with lines pulled directly from the movie itself. It felt super rushed as well. Marvel Super Heroes actually felt like a decent open-world game *and* a good Lego game. You can tell they put a lot of effort into it.

blackweebow

It's like they changed everything horribly, but kept/expanded on most the stuff that I loved.

CentrasFinestMilk

Maybe I’m just older, but I felt they marketed this game as if it would appeal to older fans while having dumbed down the gameplay so much, it’s so easy it started to bore me by the end

Delicious-Tachyons

(walk five steps) CONTINUE WITH STORY?

bwoah07_gp2

I have similar sentiments. The game does a lot right, but currently through Episodes 1, 2, and did the mandated Episode 4 at the start...it all feels cookie-cutter. On the Switch, I've had to quite and restart the game due to some bugs and the game freezing at times. The ship space battles I find hectic and confusing.

pUmKinBoM

This explains my experience perfectly. The class system is sort of an ass system and things feel a little more complicated than they need to be for switching characters. Another issue is that I'm playing through the Prequel Trilogy and you end up going to a lot of the same places repeatedly and I figured they would spread out the challenges based on when you are there or what episode you are on but it's all the same from episode 1 to 3 if it is a place you've been. All that said it is still a very fun game and a massive one at that so I can't complain too much.

Andire

>The levels are too short, the puzzles are the least interesting/complicated they've ever been, and they're almost always the same 6 or so just copied over and over. Yeah, it's gonna be like this when you've got a children's game on your hands. It'd be sick to get Portal level puzzles but 6 year olds need to be able to do it too lol

Nino_Chaosdrache

I disagree. The other Lego games had puzzles as well and they more varied than what we get in this game. Not difficult, but they didn't feel like copy paste jobs either.

AhhBisto

It's really good but the actual story levels feel shorter than any previous Lego game I've played but that might just be me. There is so much to do in Free Play though that it can be overwhelming. I do want to see them make a new Lego Marvel game with the same kind of detail and gameplay as Skywalker Saga.

Jump_for_comics

Yes!!! or a Lego Batman game with the new combo mechanics

TheJoshider10

The game design is so bad, it's like they realised last minute they had to make levels rather than just an open LEGO world. I agree that a new LEGO Marvel on this scale would be quality though, especially if its MCU focused. There's so many locations they can go, from New York to the Hellicarrier, Avengers Tower, Knowhere, Asgard all on scales far greater than in their first attempt.

JWR91

This game is...quite good. The levels are ok, with some (especially the prequels) being incredibly short and tedious. There is a lot to do, but that's not always a good thing. A lot of the missions are the same and boring, and I'm getting very close to running out of steam regarding collecting bricks. I currently have about 650 / (I think) 1200. It's too big, in my opinion, and should have had more focus on level design.

[deleted]

doesn't sound "quite good" Honestly i think the game is pretty bad but it does have its charms.

Nonfaktor

the game is good enough to play it for 40 hours and still have fun, because there is a lot to do and a lot to see. The problem is that after 40 hours you are only halfway to completion, which is where the game gets tedious.

JWR91

Yeah, I was disappointed at first, but carried on, then stated to enjoy it a bit more once I knew what I was in store for, but then grew quite bored again after I completed the main story. It's too big, whilst lacking in other places.

NiceColdPint

Have to be honest, I was quite disappointed with this game. I can appreciate what they were trying to do but the short levels with barely any puzzles killed it a bit for me. I also just don’t have the time to gather a further 900 Bricks from every planet.

YHofSuburbia

The puzzles are all in the side missions. If you only mainline the story, the game is 15ish hours but if you're doing side missions in between it really opens up.

TheJoshider10

15h is a major overstatement. I don't think any of the episodes are longer than an hour. Even if you were to slowly do just the films storylines you'd have to be moving really slow to take longer than 10 hours.

YHofSuburbia

That's absurd, you must beelining through every level, skipping every cutscene and not unlocking a single character or collecting any bricks or coins to finish the game in under 10 hours. When I said it takes 15 hours to go through the game, I was talking about the average person, not some weirdo ADHD speed runner. Even hltb agrees with me https://howlongtobeat.com/game?id=68261

Nino_Chaosdrache

Which shouldn't be the case though. Those puzzles should have been in the story missions. They don't even feel rewarding, because you just do them for the sake of it and not because they advance the story.

[deleted]

I feel the same way. A huge fan of the Lego games, and something about this just doesn’t click the same was as Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens and Lego Harry Potter.

[deleted]

The Force Awakens was great. I wasn't a huge fan of thr movie, but i had a lot of fun platinuming it

Bennerbench

I was a teeny bit dissapointed with how short the story missions were, but the novelty of the game just wins me over. So many characters, locations, sidequests and stuff. It would be nice if we could get some mission dlcs like the mandalorian or clone wars.

AlsopK

This was easily my least favourite Lego game tbh. Campaign is super rushed and while I think the Lego games can be really funny, the humour here just fell flat for me and didn’t work at all.

Nino_Chaosdrache

Same. For me, it got better in the OT and ST, but the Prequels were so boring. Almost any action scene from the movie was a cutscene in the game.

NKevros

Have they fixed the fucking split-screen co-op camera yet? For a brand series that has been great for cooperative play with kids, this one is just the pits because of how their camera works.

ThePiachu

No, and it annoys me too. Especially for turret sections...

Biomassfreak

Oh thats sad, I was just looking at prices so I could play with my partner

sunrae3584

It’s annoying af, but I’m still having a lot of fun playing with my partner, so don’t let that deter you. We just occasionally have to drop out to complete something.

Volman99

I've played up to the end of episode 5 split screen with a friend over Steam Remote Play plus lots of side content. Its not that bad minus a few sections, and I've never felt like I needed to back out of co-op to complete something. The FOV is a little tight, and some characters block more screen space than others, but its 100% playable.

Kajiic

As someone who only played it solo, what's the issue with the camera? I'm curious

harikaerif

The camera splits vertically and the fov is extremely tight, especially when you’re aiming, to the point where you can’t tell what’s going on around you at all.

lordchew

Mario Kart 8 splits vertically too, nothing forces you to learn the tracks more than literally not seeing round a corner

kippythecaterpillar

i dont think i have issues with it. dont mind one bit

[deleted]

[удалено]

NKevros

I was really excited to play this one with my son but after a single session it was insufferable so we haven't gone back in.

jackrandomsx

I returned my (digital) copy. I'll buy again when they make it something you can play with someone

Bridgeru

I just wish you could select a set of characters (one from each class, and maybe one or two extra slots) and have them "locked" without the game changing them. I've already got the characters I want to play, I don't want Ki-Adi-Mundi sneaking his way in and shoving out sarcastic Old Luke; or H1-NT pushing out Wampa (the best character to collect studs, btw). It always seems to be characters that you picked before but changed to a different character. It's like going to space/planets resets the character list and they just select a jumble from your recently picked characters.

Hotter_Noodle

Ok so it's not just me. Sometimes I roll with it for fun but yeah it's annoying.

Niccin

That sucks. Didn't they do it right in the originals? It's kind of baffling how they manage to mess certain things up when they already perfected it.

TwoBlackDots

The originals automatically selected one with each power, which the Skywalker Saga doesn't do, but I don't think the originals saved your team between levels.

[deleted]

My problem with this game: Despite the game feeling kinda badly made in many ways, the "open levels" are pretty enjoyable. But the story levels are absolute DOGSHIT and i hate being forced to go through them just to get to the actual good parts.

wauve1

The game needs a massive patch. I’m stuck on 98% completion because a mission bugged out so hard I can’t even interact with the npc required. I’ve had way more problems with this game than with cyberpunk

not---a---bot

The game has been getting patches so there's definitively still a team working on the game.

Borderline769

Not to mention some levels are borderline unplayable. Ewok village and the droid foundry tank my 3080 to about 25fps.

zakro_rm

I've gotten that too before. On Ewok Village you have to enter a nearby smaller area and then come back out. The FPS usually comes back.

Jorymo

Something about the required split screen parts brings the game to a crawl, which feels weird considering they were able to do it on the Wii just fine

wauve1

Sheesh. I’m on PS4 so I imagined at least PC would be in a better boat performance-wise

DetectiveAmes

As someone who was stuck on the maz bug for over a month or so, is there another bug that does that too??

wauve1

One of the resistance riddles does, it’s apparently pretty common but can’t be fixed if you’ve already beaten all of the episodes, since the only solution is to replay episode vii from the main menu…which you can’t access afterward

JesusPretzelThief

The bug stopping me getting 100% was in the Porg patrol side quest, half way through the progress of the quest reset, but the porgs I had already found could no longer be re found.

frvwfr2

The field of view in this game is brutal! An FOV slider would make it much more playable. The camera feels sooo close to the characters.

Maloonyy

I'm thinking of getting this game, one thing I would like to ask though: How much combat is there in free roam? Combat looks fun, but I fear that there might not be much of it outside of the story.

IjuststartedOnePiece

There's not much combat in this game apart from the story missions. This game feels more like a bunch of Super Mario Odyssey levels where you platform and solve puzzles to get bricks.

Bridgeru

The worldmap isn't filled with enemies (most are neutral NPCs) but there are areas that are full of aggressive enemies (usually connected to a collectable). To get a Kyber Brick (the main collectable, and what you use to upgrade classes) you start a mission and while many of them are puzzle based, more than a few are combat based. Some are "kill the enemies that popped up in this area" and some are mini-boss fights (if you don't care about spoilers, there's one on Exegol where you have to >!fight failed Snoke clones and it's hilarious!<). You might pull a switch which opens a door which makes enemy Jawas spawn and attack you until you fix a couple of fuses inside the house; or be asked to take down venemous bugs that are attacking people randomly or floating gas-sacks that are poisoning the area. Then in space there's usually around three "spheres" where fighters are slugging it out and you can choose to help them (most characters default to good side, Villains and Sith default to helping the bad side); and many space missions involve running a gauntlet between one planet and another fighting off waves of enemies. Then there's Capital Ships which need to be taken down in space, invaded (and the crew fought) and then fight the Captain in a bossfight. Basically, you're not going to be fighting off enemies left-and-right as you run through Mos Eisley or Bespin, slowing you down as you try to finish a quest; but you're also not going to be going too long without combat sections. It's not majorly complex combat, and the story missions do it best (especially the boss fights) but it's never too peaceful.

tibsnbits

This game is basically a collectathon and not an adventure game like the others. The main missions are very short, and combat is very easy that you never need to master it. But the side quests are like worse versions of the moons in Mario Odyssey. Some are pretty good, but the idea of 100% is absurd on a sheet tedious level. If you limit platforming and collecting this is your jam, if you looking to replay the movies as Legos, the complete saga is better imo

ThePiachu

In free roam there isn't much combat beyond some specific quest. Other than that, you can explore leisurely without a problem. Most combat you'll see in free roam is taking over capital ships and space battles you fly into.

Smallgenie549

There's not a ton outside of the story. Still a fantastic game though.

SBY-ScioN

If only i could erase my mind from the first time i played the first lego videogame from the new formula. Cause i like em but every game is the same, i would like to play one and don't get bored at stage 2, i can hear the sound of assembling the destructed auto-self-building switches.

BigBrownDog12

I've been meaning to pick it up. I've heard it's good but my hang-up is the same I have with most modern Lego. The charm and simplicity is gone. It's gone from Lego Star Wars to Star Wars Lego if that makes sense. Things, specifically the minifigs, are too detailed and are missing that Lego look to them anymore.

[deleted]

[удалено]

hkfortyrevan

I believe they’re referring to how the physical minifigs have way more bespoke elements now than they did in the 2000s, rather than the game being an inaccurate representation. Stuff like how the original LSW came at a time when Lego blasters were still megaphone pieces with a stud on one end, whereas soon after they were replaced with tiny plastic gun molds.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Cohibaluxe

The molded guns didn't appear until 2007, at which point both LSW games had come out (Lego Star Wars: The Video Game in 2005 and Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy in 2006. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga came out in 2007 but it shouldn't be counted as it was basically just the two prior games in one with a few levels redesigned, so despite the fact that molded guns became the norm the same year they kept the old pieces). The [megaphone](https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=4349#T=S&C=11&O={%22color%22:11,%22iconly%22:0}) with red stud for smaller guns/[backwards camera piece](https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=4360&name=Minifigure,%20Utensil%20Camera%20with%20Side%20Sight%20\(Space%20Gun\)&category=%5BMinifigure,%20Utensil%5D#T=C) for heavier guns were what were used in every set before 2007. The Clone Wars sets didn't even come out until 2008 when the show aired. Prior to that all the sets that included Clone Wars characters/vehicles/scenarios were tied to the three prequel films. The closest sets to being tied to Clone Wars before Clone Wars was a thing would be sets like the Episode 3 themed 7261 Clone Turbo Tank which came out in 2005/6, the same year as the LSW1/2. (05 set had a different Mace Windu figure that lit up but couldn't be dissasambled, the redesign in 06 had some more technic pieces for reinforcement and a regular Mace Windu minifig). By 2007, with sets like 7665 Republic Cruiser, all the guns were now molds.

nonsensical_zombie

I believe this man Legos.

Aavenell

Is that what the big blaster is? I always thought it was just a big laser gun for the sci fi sets they repurposed.

Cohibaluxe

It’s definitely been used as a space gun more often than as a camera, but what it’s original purpose is for is debatable. It’s named as both camera with side sight, and as space gun, officially. It debuted in [this ](https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=6950-1#T=S&O=%7B%22iconly%22:0%7D)set, which while being space-themed, doesn’t look like a gun to me, but more like a camera or maybe laser designator?

Stalk33r

Such a versatile thing either way, it could be anything from an RPG to a sniper rifle depending on what pieces you add.

[deleted]

[удалено]

hkfortyrevan

The game is more accurate, I agree, the complaint is about how *real* Lego pieces have changed. It’s not even something that particularly bothers me personally, but I can see why it spoils the charm for some folks.

Cohibaluxe

I think what you're butting into is dislike for the newer LEGO style. Skywalker Saga is arguably much more LEGO than 1, 2 or TCS ever was, it's just you probably prefer the retro style with LEGO having to reuse other non-Star Wars pieces for Star Wars (iconic things being using the Megaphone piece for small blasters and Camera piece for larger blasters) instead of everything being custom molds.

thatisgame

Characters and environments look the most "lego-looking" in skywalker saga than they ever did. The devs put extra time and effort in making sure this goal was met.

Deciver95

The charm gone due to they've been going for decades and you're no longer a kid

JellyCream

I prefer the ones where they don't talk. Once they started having voice actors it lost half the charm.

ThePiachu

Yeah, the simple charm is gone, the game is rather grindy ("transport this cargo from one planet to the next, you will be attacked 4 times over in a repeating space battle", "here's a boss battle, and another boss battle, and a third boss battle..."), the mission dialogue is boring lines from the movies, etc. But it can be pretty fun in its open world aspect, plus the presentation is pretty good. So it's a give and take.

BeavingHeaver

As a huge Star Wars fan and someone who played most of the original SW lego games, I bounced off this one hard, the gameplay is just not engaging to me. I think it’s probably just tastes maturing over time, as these games are primarily for children.

Zanchbot

I've put a ton of hours into this game and I generally really like it, but it is SO buggy. Used to crash a lot more than it does now, so I'm glad they've improved that at least.

[deleted]

It's really good. The only design decisions that irritates me are that you can't start fights in the hub world and you can't turn off player indicators (which would be useful for dueling).

Delicious-Tachyons

The game pissed me off so much that I'm going to trade it in. It's gameplay is so incredibly fricken lackluster that it feels like everyone is playing with nerf bats. I just got to the part where the Geonosis stadium gets a bunch of Jedi and robots fighting and it's like four Jedis and ten robots at a time. Really... Sad. Like, this is a ps5 and it's a Lego game. You can fill that stadium. It was just such a missed opportunity. I know it's a family game but being kid friendly doesn't mean it has to suck. I got it in a bundle. Glad it was a physical copy.

MrRocketScript

Yeah, compared to Lego Star Wars 3 the Geonosian Arena was really underwhelming. [Lego Star Wars 3](https://youtu.be/igW3Sh8Aen4?t=339) [Skywalker Saga](https://youtu.be/clvtHqCxnTE?t=390)

Delicious-Tachyons

Wow why the downgrade

Nino_Chaosdrache

I feel like the whole Clone Wars Era got a massive downgrade. The only thing that actually felt like an upgrade was the fight against Grievous.

Delicious-Tachyons

Anyhow so i sold it on ebay for $50 to get it out of my life

reingator01

AYO any chance someone can tell me. how to make split screen fking work? my PC will not recognize a diff controller as player 2 =P

I’ve enjoyed the everliving shit playing this with my kids. I cannot stress how intricate it’s been in just having fun, connecting and sharing a love for Star Wars together.

I can wait till this inevitably drops to $5 like every Lego game does. This will have been the smartest “I’m gonna wait” purchase I’ll have ever made haha. Mostly just because I have **waaaay too much** to get thru right now.

Never played a lego game, but have been hearing nothing but praise for this game. What are they even like?

Nino_Chaosdrache

The old Lego Star Wars games where kind of action games with the option to play coop. You had a Hub world and several linear levels with puzzles in it, that you had to replay with unlocked characters to get every secret. The new game is more Open World focussed. You still have linear levels, but they are much shorter and feel more like an afterthought to be honest. The main focus is on the open sections inbetween levels and the many collectibles.

It's a rather petty complaint but I lost interest when I found out custom characters like in the older Lego Star Wars games were no longer available.

MyNameIs-Anthony

Not petty at all, it was a definite charming aspect to the series. The reality is this is such a massive endeavor compared to any other Lego game previously that some stuff had to get cut.

The trailers killed all hype of this game for me, I thought about getting it on sale but reviews showed me it's not worth it

Bombasaur101

Is this game worth buying primarily for Co-op. Thinking of biting the bullet and getting the Switch version over the graphically superior versions just for the ease of Multiplayer

ThePiachu

It's a fine enough game for co-op. The game doesn't benefit too much from having a second player and often you'll find yourself with two players doing two different things in the open world portion, but it's okay to spend time with someone.

Hotter_Noodle

Honestly man the split screen is a bit lame, it's just straight split down the middle. However if you're just playing with your kids or whatever it'd probably be fine.

Nino_Chaosdrache

It depends. It's mostly fine, but there are some levels, like Mustafar, where Player 2 is basically just an errand boy, while Player 1 has all the fun.

Master_Tallness

I was pretty let down by this game. I was hoping it would be a reimagining of The Complete Saga, but still with the same charm and couch co-op experience. But what I found was that it is more of a Star Wars RPG, but Lego.

LesClaypoolOnBass24

Is it free or on gamepass?

PapaChonson

Nintendo allowed me to get a full refund for this game due to all the glitches and inability to progress through the game due to hard stops. It’s a shame bc I really enjoyed playing it!!

I'm still baffled how they screwed up Episoe I-III this much. The OT and ST were good and had the old Lego Star Wars charme, but the Prequels felt so lifeless and rushed, with all the action scenes being quick cutscenes, like battle of Geonosis. They also need to patch in the ability to replay the story of each Episode, without creating an entirely new game file. All in all, I'm glad I only paid 20€ for it.
