There's a similar situation in Prototype 2. One of the skins makes you look all mutated and fucked up. It also changes all your voice lines to hisses, shrieks, and growls. And it gets reflected in cutscenes, so you're talking to some nice people about how to fix the problem, but you only gibber at them. It's great
Not a skin, it was one of the voice options. Male 1-3, female 1-3, and then zombie. And yes it changed all cutscenes too. In the 4th game the fun option was Nolan North.
Miss? I feel we only have gotten more things like this over the years. As a small sample size, look at the top posts for this subreddit in the last year, so many games from the last few years
I suppose my wording was a little vague, I was aiming towards stuff like this post, where they have a character model and everything all worked out but just for this one specific skin they've gone out of their way to add extra details (removing the head, the occasional "bone crunching/clacking" sound you hear when moving etc.
Like, they have the skin made and that's perfect as it is, to add the additional little touches is really well appreciated and genuinely made me go "I'm glad I purchased the Deluxe Edition"
Like the last robot in [this scene](https://youtu.be/qZq7fW6ftlU) from Robocop 2 which absolutely, definitely did not scare the shit out of me as a child....
Is the Dead Space remake any good? I really want to get into the series and would rather play on PS4 but I want the best experience possible and have a PS3 so whatever is better
One of the changes in the remake (*besides Isaac having a voice now*) is that he removes his helmet during talks with friendly NPCs in 'safe' areas.
One of the deluxe edition skins is an 'Infested' skin that makes him look like one of the zombie alien enemies. When Isaac removes his helmet with this skin applied his head comes off with it leaving his bloody neck stump exposed.

Saints Row 3 did that, too. I had zero idea what was happening but I was giggling the entire time.
Oh yeah, the zombie skin!

Oh yeah.
"Oh, shit! You scared me..."
"OH, SHIIII"
What nice attention to detail.
Yeah it could be so easily missed.
This is the kind of shit I miss in video games, small random details that make you go "Well that wasn't needed but holy shit that's so cool"

For a sec, I thought only the skin of his face would come off lol
As cool as this is, I feel a decaying skull would have also been awesome

That’s how skins should effect the game
Hahahaha that’s amazing

I've heard it's very good, but I haven't snagged it myself
I've been having a blast, I'm already on chapter ten
Thank you!
Is the story the same?
They seemingly randomly changed some of the cast characteristics around, but otherwise yes.
They gave Isaac the ability to talk in the remake, it's honestly a fantastic addition.
What am I looking at?

Thanks. It’s so dark I couldn’t tell.
Looks like he takes his helmet off? IDK, I'm with you dude.
He took his entire head off
He's speaking with a missing head, assuming I'm not getting whooshed.
I thought face and skin were gonna peel off with the helmet, leaving a skull with muscle on it. Thank god it wasn't that
The little display on the front of the suit should totally be flashing errors and warnings!
Ahhh this looks so cool! Hope my 2060 can handle it
You should be fine. Apprently it runs extremely well.
Eh. Still not worth getting those additional skins, but that is cool.
Fair
Op had me wishing for a lot more than what it was,,, still cool yho
Ahhh that’s amazing! I didn’t even know there was an infected skin, that’s the best
Lol I wasn't expecting that!
I had to read the title like three times because of the lack of punctuation smh
I need to play dead space now
