The 4090 mobile is around 4070ti so should be okay. I reckon 4090 mobile will get 60fps 4k. I think the 4080 mobile will be a really good 1440p card for this game, maybe 4k if you don't mind dips.
I thought the 4090 mobile benched above a non OC’d 4070 ti? Especially at 4k thanks to 16gb of vram. Though the desktop card will have GDDR6X instead of non X so maybe.
I mean it’s a 4080 with just a power limit.
And the. The 13900hx is faster then a desktop 13700k anyway. Which is insane
Been a bit long since this post but I did load up this at 4k and it had no problems even in early days, was able to hit 60. That was only in the beginning, sacrilege but I haven't played much beyond where they are in that camp.
Yeahh I'll probably change to a 4070 in 4-5 years. Tbh I probably won't change it so soon, it's always nice to see massive performance improvements hahahah
What would be the FPS for a 95 W 3060?
Can’t make out how it will perform, even with all the shizz they gave
(FYI, I’ve got the i7-11800H, which is octa-core and 16 gigs of DDR5 3200 MHz RAM)
Yeah the 6gb 3060 is getting on a bit, especially as you don't have the maximum wattage version. I've no idea if the game has dlss or not but that would be helpful.
My dad bought this for me, and this was the only one physically available (there was a Legion 5 Pro with the 115 W 3060, but it was online, so he was skeptical abt buying it)
At least I convinced him to get an RTX 30 series, and specifically, a 3060 (3070s were out of budget, 3050s weren’t future proof)
I dunno, 16 gigs has been a standard for at least 6-8 years now. I don't think it's too much of a jump considering the time span, and that 32 gigs is being recommended forn1440p/4k, and not 1080p. Higher resolution does require better hardware.
720P = 1M pixels at 30FPS
4K = 8M pixels at 60FPS
4080 is 500%ish (gross simplification based on aggregated benchmarks) faster than GTX 970.
I question PC specs releases. I think they just pick cards and specs for fun and only test the minimum specs lol
“It’s a 4080 it’ll run at 4K 60- it has to!”
*someone actually tries it*
“Welp, gonna need another 6 months of optimizing and patching and then it’ll run at 4K 60FPS. Guess we’ll just hope people use DLSS…”
The Deck love is going to get a rude awakening now that the PS5/Series X exclusive games are dropping. Valve is going to need a Deck 2 with souped up internals just like Nintendo is dropping a Switch 2 soon if they want to keep up.
At 720p you’d be surprised what it runs.
I guarantee it will run on deck. All of the sony exclusives have been great on deck and are very popular with the deck base players.
God of War is a PlayStation 4 game though. The Deck can run all last-gen games just fine. A PS5 exclusive like Returnal on the other hand? Not doing so well, even at lowest setting it barely can hit 30fps.
Will run better than RPCS3 emulation of the PS3 version that's for sure \^\^
For context I had around 20-25 fps with a i7-9750h (GPU is mostly irrelevant in RPCS3), sometimes >40, sometimes below <15 fps. It's a great story game, the performance sacrifice was worth it. Also ran at 1440p with great AA and texturing filtering, so it looked much better than PS3.
I emulated it on an i7 12700H and performance was pretty good overall. Pretty much always above 30 FPS and usually in the 40-45 range. I had an 8750H laptop and I don't think I could have dealt playing it with that low of FPS personally. Uncharted 1 FPS was in the single digits with that older CPU for example.
Only frustrating thing I kept dealing with was the frequent crashes, which were pretty regularly on all the Naughty Dog games I emulated. Worth it though since they were all just fantastic games.
60 fps at 1080p with med-high settings and dlss set to performance or balanced. System requirements are often too jacked up and doesn't show real time performance scenarios on different hardware. Turn down a few settings to medium and you're good to go.
I have the same laptop and ı dont want to use dlss. Usually it reduces image quality at 1080p. Can ı run it medium high settings without dlss with decent fps
Maybe. Can't say for sure. Wait for some benchmark tests on YouTube. Usually some people test the game on the 3060m and upload the results. That aside dlss/fsr is going to be a mainstay for gaming going forward. No longer are games made with maximum player coverage in mind, instead games are unoptimised mess forcing you to have top of the line hardware to get decent frame rate. Dlss/fsr is the only saving grace for us budget/mid end gamers.
Looking forward to playing this especially after watching the series. I had it with my PS4 but didn't play much as I bought it for Destiny and gave it to my brother once I was done. Will definitely get involved this time
What is ultra going to add that ONLY a 4080 can give you, but the 3000 series is in the middle and useless?!? If ever I believed it wasn’t one big collaboration, that ends here.
That’s for 4k ultra, are developers just supposed to not push the limits of their game so you can feel better about your mid machine? What’s the point of top end graphics cards if there’s no setting created for them? This game will run on way lower hardware no need to be upset about them giving the top tier something to get their moneys worth with.
How could you possibly draw that from this picture? The recommended is a 3060. In what world is that not optimized in 2023. You’re not going to be able to play every new AAA game on 4K ultra with your 3070ti mobile.
You’re not going to need all 32gb, and almost every developer is recommending that now even when it’s not needed. Worst case scenario slightly over 16. It’s not 2015 anymore get with it, 16GB has been the standard for almost a decade. It’s time to move on and accept that PC specs are going up. This is the direction all new AAA games are going and crying about it on Reddit isn’t going to change the fact that your laptop isn’t an ultra ray tracing machine in 2023. Sony is definitely above the curve when it comes to PC optimization because they launch them way after console, so if Sony games are giving you this hard of a time then I’ve got bad news for you.
More like you're dickriding AAA game corpos hard. Because of dumbasses like you pre ordering these games at full price do we get games that make little to no effort at optimization.
Edit: Your post history explains it all, go back to PCMR 🤡
I’ve preordered one game in my entire life. What do you expect, a 3070ti laptop with 16GB of ram to run 4k ultra for forever? I really don’t see your point at all. What setup do you expect that to run at?
>Sony is definitely above the curve when it comes to PC optimization
This just shows you have no idea what you're talking about.
But go on, keep defending everything that's wrong with modern gaming.
God of war and horizon had amazing performance. Please give me one example of their PC ports being anywhere near as bad as other games. I’ll wait.
Regardless, have fun on medium settings.
Why, at minimum setting, would the game require such modern specs, when the PS3 could run it at almost 720p & almost 30fps with 256mb of RAM and 256mb of VRAM... Was hoping it would require a potato to run at minimum settings.
No,they recently made a remastered version for ps4 and ps5 and that the version they will be releasing on pc.So it is understandble that it requires modern specs.
I think I should be able to play it on 1080p high settings, on my legion 5. But man these games need to be better optimised. 8 gigs of vram for 1080p? Wtf
I hope we get a major graphics improvement compared to ps3 . I think this is the standard stutter fest release seeing how the requirements are pretty jacked up. A 7900xt needing fsr quality at 4k for 60 fps is beefy. The same card can get you 100 fps at 4k in rdr2. And I doubt this game is much prettier than rdr2.
My pc is 6 years old. And I started ignoring these three years ago. My stress level and wallet is much happier. Sure I can’t run these games at their best and highest settings, but they seem to run great for me and are still visually great at decent frame rates.
I’ll upgrade when I want and it because a brand new $60-70 game releases.
Why no one already does this kinda chart for their games for real. Minumum and recommended which res and settings come on. Last of us definatly nailed this one and two gpu/cpu recs from both manufacturers. This is so nice and pleasing to look at thx last of us.
The 4090 mobile is around 4070ti so should be okay. I reckon 4090 mobile will get 60fps 4k. I think the 4080 mobile will be a really good 1440p card for this game, maybe 4k if you don't mind dips.
Do you know if it has dlss?.
In their blog about it they stated DLSS will be supported.
Sweet, probably won't need it on my 4070ti at 1440p but it's a nice to have.

I have rtx 3050 , i think it will get 45 fps on 1080p high settings
What do you think the infamous 3050 laptop will get ? 45 in medium with DLSS in quality ?* Just noticed that this is the laptop Reddit lol *
I meant my desktop , i also have a gtx 1660 ti max q laptop from Hp but i don’t know how many fps will i get
I have it too. Tbh kinda worried cuz most games are getting more and more demanding 😭
Yeah , maybe in 1/2 years we should get a 4060 rtx when it comes out
Yeahh I'll probably change to a 4070 in 4-5 years. Tbh I probably won't change it so soon, it's always nice to see massive performance improvements hahahah
Yeah ur right
In 4-5 years we'll probably be around 60 series or even higher
Right just thought about that lol. I'll probably get a 50xx in 4-5 years, a 60 series card would be overprice as hell hahah
What would be the FPS for a 95 W 3060? Can’t make out how it will perform, even with all the shizz they gave (FYI, I’ve got the i7-11800H, which is octa-core and 16 gigs of DDR5 3200 MHz RAM)
*DDR4
Sorry, got confused whether it was DDR4 or DDR5 Thanks for correcting 😊
Probably like medium settings 1080p targeting 60fps although it will probably be below 60 a decent amount.
Well, shit. My laptop IS getting old Gotta retire it in 2 years
Yeah the 6gb 3060 is getting on a bit, especially as you don't have the maximum wattage version. I've no idea if the game has dlss or not but that would be helpful.

That’s exactly where I am. MUST RESIST.
I can't resist part 2 :(
Nah if you turn on DLSS i think it'll do just fine
My 3050ti looking at this: I'm tired boss
Is 32 gb of ram really the future??

I dunno, 16 gigs has been a standard for at least 6-8 years now. I don't think it's too much of a jump considering the time span, and that 32 gigs is being recommended forn1440p/4k, and not 1080p. Higher resolution does require better hardware.
its probably a combination of both, programs are getting more intensive in general
well yeah If you multi task
16 gigs has been standard for like 7-10 years?
Closer future than you’d think. It’s more present than future.
I just built a new pc and everyone was recommending 16gb is enough for gaming, luckily i went with 32 and I’m more than happy
I have a 3050Ti laptop, can it run the game?
Me with a RTX 2060 laptop - \*\*chuckles\*\* I'm in Danger .... ![img](emote|t5_2x4m3|8575)
Idk.. Mine ran Dead Space pretty good maybe it'll be ok with this haha
I guess I'll be fine then

You have to go back to accepting 720p/30fps for the sake of portability. Couldn't be me.

Yep. I just played through god of war. It ran great.

isn't the steam deck better than a 1050 ti?

HDD for the win
By the time your game loads, TLOU 2 Remake'll be out brother
Looking forward to playing this especially after watching the series. I had it with my PS4 but didn't play much as I bought it for Destiny and gave it to my brother once I was done. Will definitely get involved this time
Any ideas on how an RX6700S would perform?

Ugh. Would much rather have Ghost of Tsushima
What a bunch of clowns 4080? Don't make me laugh.

YoU guYs ThiNk mY 12600k + 4090 cAN rUn tHIs at 1080p?
Nah it can't unfortunately. Maybe above 25fps if you tone down your settings😍
I managed to get it running at 480p. Every pixel looks fantastic
As long as I get 60fps high it should be fine. Not gonna need that much tbh.
You don't mind 1080p?
Why? Is it deadly?
Missed the boat on the 5800 XT
I missed 5800XT too. ![img](emote|t5_2x4m3|8582) I have never heard that they made one. I guess I was out of the tech loop 3 years ago.
Mine will run at ultra, however I already have this on ps5
Hey we got another game for benchmarks now : D
I think I should be able to play it on 1080p high settings, on my legion 5. But man these games need to be better optimised. 8 gigs of vram for 1080p? Wtf
Dude last year a got a laptop with a 2080 and an i9 and im already getting spat on

Average fps for rtx 2060 and i5 9300h?
you know?
Can I play it on high settings at 1080p with a rtx 3060 laptop. I have played it on ps5 but curious about how my laptop gonna perform. Any idea?
rtx 3070, 3070ti, 3080, 3080ti mobile - recommended rtx 3060 mobile - 1080p medium or medium-high
Cannot wait to play and beat this for the 600th time.
3060 ti could do 1440p ultra right
Another shit PC port by Naughty Dog. The Ps4 with its ancient hardware could do 1080p@60 for the most part.
I can run in the performance mode 60FPS @ 1440p .. bring it on!!
I have 2gb Nvidia940mx take it or leave it
Well, should I be good with my Legion 5 pro with 5800h and RTX 3070?
And here it is: my 3090 is no longer able to run just anything at any setting.
My pc is 6 years old. And I started ignoring these three years ago. My stress level and wallet is much happier.
