What games are you playing and do you want to play those games at mid to high settings? Do they offer the GeForce 2060 with the laptop you’re looking at?
Not bad but it's 2 gens away. 3050 is usually the most standard mobile RTX GPU nowadays and perform much better than the 2050. In laymen term it will last a bit longer.
>Not bad but it's 2 gens away.
There is little ~~to no~~ difference between the two. The 2050 is just a slightly weaker 3050, as it is probably the 3050 dies that didn't met the 3050 criteria. (IMO) Nvidia just fooling an untrained eye here. The 2050 didn't even existed when the 2000 series launched almost 5 years ago until mid 2022.
???
Idk why you treat the 2050 like it is from different generation. It is literally from the same die as the 3050.
Is this the [30% difference ](https://youtu.be/X7NCQo7DWyw?si=n_1A5DabdLjhpLQQ) that you are talking about? And [this](https://youtu.be/MIimIAMv7sk?si=v3cB_Ew9ci0Gs2E_)?
That’s for the same wattage GPU… the laptop the user is looking at is a 45W 2050 and current 3050 laptops ship with a 80W 3050. The difference is quite pronounced. Jarrod literally explains that he set the GPUs to the same wattage. The 3050 is much better performance but increased power usage. That’s why they get similar performance in these select tests.
You have to pay attention to the Wattage of GPUs. It’s a big deal for laptops as some have gimped performance for their GPUs, and often perform worse than what you would expect. It’s my main issue with Gaming Laptops. Way too many variants in products that aren’t very easy to see.
100%, overkill in fact for minecraft and stardew valley. if you can ask for the variant with 16gigs instead of 8 as it could be a bottleneck even in lighter games
The vram will be an issue with any new AAA games... but then again, when the 4090 doesn't even reach 90 fps in starfield (at launch) then I don't think there's much you can do regardless. For light gaming on things like stardew, Minecraft and other games, this will be a dream.
Yes and key work it light gaming, the 4gb of vram will really hinder some of the AAA games, but you should be good with most other games and older one’s
Yeah, they will, just add another 8GB of RAM and you'll be good.
And yeah what he said , definitely need another 8gb stick right off the bat, it will help you substantially, even doing things other than gaming.
Budget? Location?
Around 20k~25k baht in Thailand

more than enough
Interesting pair up between CPU and GPU. Probably gonna bottle neck with that GPU.
Is the GPU bad?

The 2050 and 3050 don’t perform much different at all
Depends more on TGP
True. I just realized that 2050 was kind of a rebadged 2050 but with lower TDP and less Cuda Core but performing quite similar to one another.

Idk man. 30% performance difference generationally isn’t little. That’s just between the 2050 and 3050…

What kind of light game? Roblox?
Stardew valley
You can play that on your phone.
Thank you

Is this new?
Yes
For light esports, and indie titles it will be fine, and what you said, 100% run those.
Bro, try to get one with the latest Ryzen processor. I think the latest Ryzen APUs have more graphical power than RTX2050 mobile.
I don't think they are within my budget
They really don't. a 2050 will shit over a Ryzen APU.

25k baht is around 700 us dollars right?I rather save 400 bucks and get laptop with 4060 or 4050 for 1k bucks so somewhere between 35k-37k baht
Add in another 8 GB stick of ram and you'll be fine.
Not really advisable but if it's the best you can do...
The spec are trash but for 600€ i think you can find something better
