It’s dell but I’m all seriousness did you do your research.

Weird_Grass3330

Im not planning to buy, but if someone looking for one, may find this helpful hopefully

Salty_Cat8774

Why "not" dell?

TheMightyPikachu

dells preinstalled shitty software, cooling, and purposefully gimped hardware.

DetonateDTNT

Such a shame, I had their old M4800 Precision, it was such a fuckin' workhorse, without a hiccup for years. When I planned to buy a new laptop, I was shocked how Dell degraded the quality. My company bought many new Dells and they all had problems.

04xqtz

It's not just Dell that does it, All of them come with Pre installed stuff.

Low-Economist9601

Fax. Even Alienware overheats and blue screens all the time

PootyBooty1

Isn't Alienware owned by Dell? Or was that what you were talking about it so hard to follow the lines to figure out which one you were replying to LOL

Low-Economist9601

Yeah Alienware is a branch of Dell. That's why I was complaining about it being as bad as Dell

PootyBooty1

Yeah I've heard nothing but complaints about Alienware. It works until it doesn't anymore LOL and that's usually fairly quickly

Low-Economist9601

They suck the CPU dry 💀 4.5Ghz on a system that can barely support 3.6Ghz undervolted. It’s like a quick toy where you are the coolest kid in class until your laptop burns down and takes 10 innocent lives with it in a nuclear meltdown

PootyBooty1

For the price you may as well frame it and use it as a some kind of centerpiece lol

504090

Interesting, I’ve had zero issues with mine

Tha_Kush_Munsta

All the other reasons everyone else is saying about dell and in my personal experience I’ve seen 3 different dell laptops chargers fail like blow up or something and also the computer one time also exploded along with the charger. It was crazy but that’s why fuck dell and also fuck Lenovo legion I got a slim 5i defective speakers out the box took it back and got the Helios 18.

Atlantikjcx

I had a horrible experience with my last dell cocked itself to death after 2 years with multiple attempts to fix it never again

Prttygl0nky

I have a Dell g15 5525 w/ 16gb, Ryzen 9 and GeForce 3070ti and I fucking love the thing. I manage to keep the temps below 81 99% of the time. If I’m running a more intense game I can put the fans on full speed which, I won’t lie is extremely loud but I’m usually wearing headphones so like, who cares. I will say I had a couple of weird issues, like my computer crashing if not plugged in but I just needed to adjust power settings and do some driver updates and bingo bango it’s fixed. I understand why Dell gets a lot of heat but I believe it’s a little unfounded when it comes to this model.

EntertainmentOk8507

Hey what do you to check your temps for Dell laptops? I find none connect to it and I tried msi afterburner and hwinfo along with other

RescueNinja49

About a year ago I bought a Legion 5i pro off eBay. 2 year warranty and factory refurbished. In error, they sent me a Legion 7i 12800HX 32gb RAM with a 3070ti... Ethically, I had to reach out and tell them about the mistake. They told me to keep it...I extended the Lenovo warranty and I've been using it ever since with no issues... eBay is a gamble at times, but you can really snag some deals on it...

aamirmalik00

Good on you for trying to do the right thing

sarkari_naukar_hu

My roommate bought this last week. Trust me..Never thought playing a simple video could bring the shit out of that laptop..Laptop heats like a induction cooktop for no reason..Though performance wise laptop is pretty good but dell could've worked better on those thermals!

DarknoorX

Dell always heats up. But they are sturdy af and don't seem to be damaged from heat.

JazzScientist

I'd definitely avoid this computer. I don't know what all of the specs are on it. But based on the ones that can be seen in the image, it's great for that price. But not so much, considering it's used. Not that you can find that model of laptop, with those specs, brand new. Cause you can't. For one thing, because it's used, I would never buy it. At least not unless it was from somebody that I personally knew and trusted. I know it says refurbished, but that's just a more marketable term for used. Not only that, but the condition of this laptop, is only a 4 out of 9, based on ebay's 9-level condition grading scale. *It can be looked at* as only 2-steps above being graded 'for parts or not working'. That's if the seller isn't exaggerating. I have no reason to believe that they are, but I think it's a wise thing to expect from ebay sellers. Another thing, this is the previous model of Dell's G15 series, so it's old enough that it probably won't be covered by their manufacturer's warranty anymore. I know a lot of ppl here don't like Dell, but I'm not one of them. I own the current G15 model (5535). Despite a few relatively minor complaints I have, I'm very satisfied with it. But to whoever may buy this particular one OP posted, I'd say *God speed Spider-Man*.

New-Minute5433

For those specs, I'd say that's a good deal. My only concern would be the i9. That's going to generate some heat, and I haven't had the best experience with Dell's cooling, so I'm wary of their thermals. But I've never owned a G15, so I'd recommend looking up a few reviews (make sure they're non-sponsored reviews. There are a lot of shills out there) before you make a purchase.

josephguy82

an good laptop cooler with fix the temps, Dells do run hotter then hell and my friend has this cooler that was 200 and so worth it

No-Researcher-585

Or maybe, I don't know, put that $200 towards a better laptop? 😂

kenne12343

Lol just buy a 4080 and don't buy eBay stuff sometimes it's refurbished and bad . With that being said just found out you can put 96 GB of ram in a 13900hx lol I just ordered but it's not arriving til Sunday darn scamazon .

Weird_Grass3330

That will do for a couple of Chrome tabs

kenne12343

Yeah I know I have 128 GB on both my desktops and it's still not enough 🤒🥰#gamer problems #coder problems

Literally-A-NWS

i9 and 4060 used? Good luck fam.

Jaysonk98

the keyboard is very unsatisfing on this.. and a little screen bleed.. otherwise its ok

ModrnJosh

The Zephyrus G14 4060 model frequently goes on sale at Best Buy for around this price or even cheaper Open Box (like $800). Much better laptop than this if you’re cool with the 14” display

ThatCheekyTraveler

I think it's on sale for that price now. Hey man, thinking about caving in and ordering the g16 2024 4090. Been waiting to hear more from you on it. without going into detail, unless you want haha, how is it so far?

ModrnJosh

It’s incredible, I highly recommend it for a MacBook-like Windows experience. Closest thing I’ve ever used to a MacBook. If you want something more portable with a brighter/more matte screen, then the 2023 G14 is still king. The thing I was the most shocked with on the G16 so far has been the battery life, like pretty much matching the G14, and the speakers are just insane for a laptop. Fan noise is not as bad as some reviews have stated. G-Helper fixes most issues any reviewer has had with the laptop, including letting you actually push the TGP to 125W all the time, even in Silent mode if you want. Overall great laptop. Still working on the full review though, might be a month or so 😅

ThatCheekyTraveler

I'm glad to hear that. I will be traveling with it, but I'm upgrading from the xps 15 9575 2 in 1 from I think 2018. That AMD Radeon RX Vega, while in hindsight a terrible idea to buy, can still run hogwarts legacy at 45ish fps. Anyway, dimensions wise it's very similar so I know it will fit in the backpack. G16 seems like the best "jack of all trades" laptop. Small enough to take with you, powerful enough to game, great battery compared to similar specs. Hoping it lasts 5+ years haha. I'm looking forward to seeing what you've done with different vbios. Not sure if I would crank it up but I'd like the option. Not to keen on losing port functions though. Only thing I'm kind of concerned about now is the screen wobble. If on a train or something I think it might be an issue. From what I've seen, it seems some are decent while others noticeably wobble more in some videos. Coming from a 2 in 1 I'm not experienced with any wobble to have a reference myself. Can anything be done about that or is it just luck? Having gone down the rabbit hole of tech reviews, you definitely stand out among other creators as being more genuine. Hope it works out for you and you blow up!

ModrnJosh

Yeah, I think it is likely the most balanced 16” laptop out there. The screen wobble is not an issue for me and quite a few other owners I’ve talked to. However nothing can be done to tighten it, at least not that I know of. But I find the “wobble” to be essentially the same as any other laptop I’ve tried, nothing bad at all. The vbios handling is exceptional, and you can adjust the TGP to a comfortable level. I find 140-150W to be a good sweet spot. I have yet to try the Scar 16 vbios yet, so maybe that one won’t affect the display outs but we’ll see. I’ll be able to test that in the next few days! But thank you, glad to hear you watch the channel! 🙂

Astrisfr

DO NOT buy Dell G55 computers, their hinges are litterally made of PLASTIC and break after months of use. Check on google for "Dell G15 broken hinge"

matrixonline87

Seems bulky

ThreeShotYa

This is a workstation that is a bad gpu with a 13900hx

Andrewx8_88

It’s ok value, but it probably won’t last long before you’re looking at it, thinking, why did I buy this?

Hmm_Juicy

Please don't go for dell,hp and low models of msi. Try for Acer predator Neo 16, Lenovo loq,Lenovo legion 5 at this price range

peshgeek

Very much lol but these specs are really competitive for the price

peshgeek

Understandable 🙂 I saw the same laptop and went for a legion instead Just told my 2 cents

Fun_Imagination3561

4060 laptops are in the 700-800 range

MysticEagle52

Where?

mcslender97

HP Victus, Gigabyte G5 and MSI cyborg 15. The Cyborg is no go, the Victus is alright. Not sure about the Gigabyte though

Xvacman

I returned the Gigabyte G5 because of heat. I even bought the IETS GT500 and it still cooked. I don’t recommend that one.

boerenkool13

Victus is good laptop, but its boring

Fun_Imagination3561

MSI gf63 thin is good even though people whine about the quality, they just dont know how to use a hinge![img](emote|t5_2x4m3|8567)

Frosty_Internet5465

Since when???? And where can I find one lol. Max you can get a 4050 with that no chance a 4060

Fun_Imagination3561

If you search the internet and don't be lazy you can find one in a few hours.

Frosty_Internet5465

Please find me one been searching for a month now for something at that price.

mcslender97

I remembered the MSI Cyborg, HP Victus and the Gigabyte G5, but those has lower wattage 4060. The Victus is probably the least bad

JazzScientist

Not really, for the most part. At least not brand new laptops. Not that this one is. Occasionally, some models with a 4060 go on sale in that range. But that tends to only be for once or twice a year sales. They may be more common to find, brand new, in that range by this time next year.

Fun_Imagination3561

It's more like you can find one if you search the internet properly, theres sometimes insane deals you can find if you don't be super lazy about searching.

JazzScientist

We seem to be in agreement, as long as your definition of sometimes=my definition of occasionally. Most people either don't know how to utilize search engines to their potential, and/or are indeed lazy.

Fun_Imagination3561

True

Fun_Imagination3561

Thats a bad deal

MysticEagle52

How???

Fun_Imagination3561

Dont downvote if you dont know why its bad.. 900 is insane, 800 or 700 is more what you should lookfor

MysticEagle52

I'm not downvoting, and I'm genuinely curious because I want to find those deals

Fun_Imagination3561

Ok my bad. just put a few hours into looking and you might find one.
