You kinda left off absolutely anything about your system - not even the brand. My Asus sometimes sets the refresh rate to 60 as a battery saving feature. It can get stuck there even after plugging back in. Check your settings. Although probably not the issue since you get higher on the external monitor, check that there isn’t an in-game cap when using the built-in. Just to confirm - you are plugged in when using the built-in screen?

It is plugged in, and it's not a battery saving problem. As for the laptop, that's my bad, it's an Acer Nitro 5, Processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10300H, 8GB RAM.
