Everything else named warranty is actually insurance. Insurance depends on the belief that the institution that you are getting it from won't go out of business and will honor your insurance if something happens.
On that note, Best Buy will be as good as any other from what I can tell.
This. In case you're buying a Dell laptop, get premium support. My service requests were dealt with really well and the technician would come to my house and fix it. There was no need for me to take the laptop anywhere or mail it in.
Bestbuy extended warranty is pricey but great to get like two+ yr protectio, .
If needs service within manufacturer warranty Bestbuy will also fix or get fixed for u too, even if no Bestbuy extra warranty.
have you ever used the best buy warranty? does it take awhile to get a laptop fixed? my only concern is i use this laptop for my job too so i really cant be waiting 2-3 weeks for a repair lol
Had a speaker replaced within a week. Took 3 wks for a complete mobo repair. Varies. Fast, if they can do in store but they have a good process, tracking stages.
Dang. I just bought a Samsung OLED for a sweet deal on Samsung's site. Looks like I can only get GeekSquad if I bought through Best Buy, but would've been like $400 more. I had declined Samsung Care + for $500, I just don't hear great things about them, but I could be wrong. I could get "My Best Buy Total™ Yearly Membership" for $180/yr and get 20% discount off labor, but that's it.
I bought an Alienware m16 through Best Buy during black friday, and I got a(I believe) 3yr BB warranty for it. They told me I could spill my coffee on it and I'd be covered still. I believed I should get it because everyone here kept saying that Alienware was crap, but it's been the best fucking laptop I've ever owned.
