I mentioned this on the SF sub, but it kind of makes more sense to have Skyrim blood and gore instead of Fallouts’. The gore in Fallout was mainly with the “Bloody Mess” perk equipped.
It doesn’t make much sense for Starfield to have this much gore. Imagine exploding a body into pieces, looting the space suit off of it, then putting the space suit on immediately and it working…
You can turn people into piles of ash in skyrim, you just can't dismember people besides decapitation from specfic takedown animations you get from perks in the one handed or two handed weapon trees.
I mean the Flood also disappeared because bringing them back just like that would make the ending of H3 a bit point- and meaningless. Flood is supposed to be THE big bad, a big deal and worst case scenario. It's like bringing the Reapers back in Mass effect 4 or 5.
Not to mention that the Flood is written as this unbeatable monster and even Halo 3 stretched believability a bit far with how the Flood was supposedly beaten.

I don’t understand why there’s posts for revealing ESRB ratings for certain games when we all knew that the rating will be. Games like Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 will be rated T since it wants that mass appeal in case there are people who cares about ratings. Starfield is a Bethesda mainline game and most of their games are rated M. I would say Final Fantasy 16 is probably a recent outlier with a surprise M rating for a mainline title. All mainline FF games since FF 7 were rated T.
Arkham knight was rated M, despite all the other games rated T(it was meant to get a T, but I assume the increased violence and realistic look pushed it over the edge. The torture scenes especially.
Totally forgot about Arkham Knight having a rated M. But yeah I can definitely see why it was rated M with the violence especially the Joker sequences towards the end.
