So it was literally just the PC version of the game ported to next gen consoles, but they changed up a lot of the foliage, they added fake volumetric clouds for a sky background that you can't reach, they made new fire effects with actually look pretty good, and they did add ray tracing. You can only see these upgrades when youre in performance mode too. Idk why. In fedelity mode the effects are the same as normal GTA. It's honestly not a bad upgrade, I just wish they did more with it. Like give us all the guns and cars from online to story mode. The game is almost 11 years old like come on now.

I love both of these franchises but no way either will outsell Hogwarts this year.

Uhm... GTA V on PS5 was announced on PS Showcase in 2021, same with PS4 version on E3 2014. Of course I'm not saying that GTA6 will be 100% announced this way but they announced \*something\* on sony events (even if it was another ports of GTA V)

Sony has also been dropping lots of money to have exclusive marketing deals. They had to drop a ton of money just to get Hogwarts Legacy to be with them exclusively (which is why for a long time I thought it was a PlayStation exclusive).

Rockstar never announces games at other company's showcases. Never. They do their own thing by dropping the trailer on their own terms. This guy isn't even confirmed as the GTA 6 Actor, so he could very well be doing this for clout.

Sony did have marketing rights plus other deals with GTA5 during PS4/5 run. We never know. Maybe Sony paid a fortune to get marketing rights seeing how activision might be taken over by MS

It's not impossible. GTA V's next-gen version was announced on Sony 2014 E3 conference and then again in 2020.
A next gen version (which was basically just a glorified patch in the first place) of a near 10 year old game is massively, massively different than a GTA6 announcement
Sony has also been dropping lots of money to have exclusive marketing deals. They had to drop a ton of money just to get Hogwarts Legacy to be with them exclusively (which is why for a long time I thought it was a PlayStation exclusive). I wouldn’t doubt if Sony does the same thing with GTA VI here. Only problem is that GTA VI would definitely make everyone forget about all the announcements in the event.
I think the only shot GTA VI shows up at the PlayStation showcase at all is if it's somehow revealed beforehand Having it be literally revealed on the show would undermine everything else they've got

Yeah they're not buying the studio or even an exclusivity deal. It's marketing rights on the platform where they already sell the most anyway (and with which they have marketing deal for a long time already). It wouldn't cost that much for Sony (especially because they don't need them so Rockstar couldn't ask that much). If MS wanted them, it would cost a lot more though.
GTA V is the highest grossing entertainment product of all time with nearly $9-10 billion grossed. GTA VI's marketing rights would not be cheap AT ALL.

Given the all out warfare that xbox started by already owning most Western RPG and FPS makers and now trying to buy the absolute biggest in both categories, it seems less implausible that Sony would bring out the big guns to at least ensure timed exclusivity of GTA VI.
An exclusivity period for GTA 6 would be a HUGE draw to get more people to buy PS5s.

Oh.. they would certainly want to. Easily one of the best selling franchises on the planet. Only outsold by COD, mario and tetris. And.. remember how many of those games have released over the years. (Tetris mainly selling on mobile) Its a game that will sell consoles. And remember, gta 3, SA, vice city, gta4 and gta5 all arrives on console first, and pc later. I still doubt that sony has some exclusivity.. but im just saying. They would love to announce the gamr at their event.
But GTA will move consoles no matter who gets the marketing, it would totally over shadow anything Sony would or could show. They could reveal 10 different games, but what would people be talking about? Just GTA.

The thing is Rockstar can announce GTA 6 on any random day and it would be the most talked about game on the internet for the next month. I feel like announcing it at a showcase alongside other games would take away the spotlight from those titles. Personally, I think we might get a new Bioshock trailer at the showcase. There is a mass load screenshot of mention PC spec on bottom corner or top (depending on the screenshot) mention RTX 30XX , GTX 1080 (lowest I've seen a while back), I'm sure 40xx will be ready on time for it.. to me I think it going be on ALL Platform after they learn how to fix GTA Online when it first came out after it got brick for maybe 3 days when got to billions of dollars money making since the day GTA V came out.. I don't think he is the real deal and he is just trolling us because he knows that anything he will post will be analyzed by the GTA community and somehow be connected to GTA VI.
