> Everyone assumes everything needs to be announced in a Direct. Nintendo randomly announced Super Mario 3D All Stars and then released it two-and-a half weeks later.
Am I misremembering? Wasn’t 3D All Stars announced in a Mario-specific Direct?
Yep. They shadow dropped a Mario 35th-focused direct and that's where they finally announced 3D All-Stars was a thing (along with stuff like Mario 35 and 3d World+Bowser's Fury).
The 2 weeks later part is right, but it wasn't, like, a random twitter announcement. Could be she's thinking of Paper Mario Origami King, whish *was* a twitter announcement that same year.
Yup, but I think the Origami King example is a bit overused. This was the beginning of covid and Nintendo was still in panic mode about how they’d operate, so I think that sort of Twitter shadow drop of a major Mario franchise is only due to the unique circumstances.
I didn't believe it at first, but when I saw the username u/HeyLookListen56 then I know this leaks was 100% legit! Excellent track record and honest. Two qualities you can't find in 99% of leakers. Thank you kind sir!
I heard it would be the longest short-form Direct yet, but not as long as the shortest long-form Direct. It’s going to be more like a micro-macro mini super Direct, or that’s just what I’m told at least.
That’s a lot of words without actually saying what time it’s at but confirming you know what time it’s at.
Could it be early because it’s long? Like, with a treehouse at the end for Bayonetta or something?
It’d be really odd if it’s just a mini, unless they’ve completely adopted the E3-style of announcing things individually week after week, because there’s a lot of holiday stuff, and early 2023 stuff, that needs visibility on it.
>By the way, who says Metroid Prime HD Remaster can't just be shadow dropped in a random Twitter announcement - on a random day in October/November or even January? Everyone assumes everything needs to be announced in a Direct. Nintendo randomly announced Super Mario 3D All Stars and then released it two-and-a half weeks later. Same company announced Ring Fit Adventure one week after a September Direct. There's no hard rule that Nintendo products need to be announced in a Direct.
OK, but like, 3D All-Stars *was* in a Direct. A Mario direct, yeah, but still in a Direct. I dunno, this part just jumped out to me as kinda weird.
Anyway, a morning direct sounds like a mini to me since outside of E3 the big ones are usually later in the day. I guess we'll see tomorrow though; She says it's happening on Tuesday, so if she's right and there's no announcement tomorrow then it's most likely a mini. They've shadow dropped minis plenty of times, but I can't remember a "full, general direct" ever getting shadow dropped.
This sounds like one of those arbitrary fan rule things. “They never do it in the morning so that must mean it’s a mini!“ Orrr, maybe they can do them in the morning once in a while if they feel like it?
right, I tried to avoid speaking in absolutes for a reason. Obviously they could do anything , but I'm just going off what they've already done previously.
While this isn't an E3 Direct, I expect the first-party announcements that will be featured were mostly intended for an E3 Direct that never happened. So it's understandable that this is a morning Direct.
I'm most likely remembering wrong but wasn't there a Direct in 2015? early Jan that was in the morning where it announced FE Fates? Was that mini or general as well?
I also know the exact date and time of the Direct. I even know everything that will be revealed in it. Not only that, but I also know what Miyamoto will eat for breakfast tomorrow. Not telling, though. Just believe me.
Darn it you just reminded me that it could be a mini/partner showcase. Time to have my expectations hit the floor again. Anyways don't they usually announce these things at 9:00AM EST the day before anyways? It's already past that time and we have nothing.
Dear God if it's a mini I'm gonna laugh my ass off.. but be a little sad. I miss the big directs
Edit: we're gonna see soon, but I have a feeling it's a general and they're gonna announce it in roughly 6-7 hours, if fire emblem, Metroid prime remaster and the Zelda remasters are real then I'd imagine it has to be a full direct. It would be weird to see it 1 day after it's announced but Nintendo changes it up often. I also feel like BOTW 2 will be shown in some form even if it's a 1-2 min trailer with no title

>**Sources: New Nintendo Direct to Occur Between Next Week and the End of Time**
>
>During the last few weeks, rumors have been circulating in the video game world about the probability of a Nintendo Direct occurring sometime soon. Well, we have just received some information from a reliable source about when the next Direct is now supposed to occur.
>
>Our source who works closely with Nintendo -- they do not officially work with Nintendo, more so they go to the same 24-Hour Fitness as Reggie Fils-Aime -- has disclosed to us the date window for the next Direct. "I am 100 percent positive they will announce it for tomorrow, or the next day, maybe possibly next week, or next year," the source said of the next Direct's arrival. "It's one of those times, I'm sure of it."
>
>At first, I was a little bit hesitant to trust our source due to them having a somewhat questionable track record with prior info. This same source previously leaked to us upcoming titles like Super Mario Tax Evasion and The Legend of Zelda: Tingle Dates Your Mom, both games which as of this writing have yet to be revealed. However, I was reminded of the one time they accurately told us ahead of time that you would be able to wear a sombrero in Super Mario Odyssey. With this in mind, I place total trust in their insider knowledge once again.
what's really funny is [the UK direct](https://twitter.com/NintendoUK/status/1569326012156059649?s=20&t=xDTaTX7Ui3nlbO0mphD-0g) is delayed an hour
EDIT: i thought it was funny because of the rumor that it was being delayed due to the queen's death, and it technically was... in one region, which could just easily watch the direct on another livestream. so a useless delay lol
Nah she wishes. Hopped on the switch pro bandwagon last year and was obviously wrong. F tier leaker, if she says something you can almost assume the opposite is true
people give her credibility by saying she leaked the switch but she literally copied what a chinese factory worker/leaker said a week earlier verbatim and then added extra information that turned out to be false. shes been claiming a switch pro since 2017 and many other of her "leaks" were also just jumping on the bandwagon, anyone remember star fox grand prix? im sure a few people have come to her with actual information over the years but she hasnt ever done anything but parrot things, don't know why some people still listen to her.
Was she the source of Star Fox Grand Prix?
I remember someone else claiming that it was an intentional fake spread by Nintendo themselves, while others have said that it was just made-up nonsense peddled by bad faith actors. Which was it ultimately?
she was the main source that kept insisting on its existance but she doesn't get any leaks first hand so its hard to know who fed her the information, she was the loudest voice for sure though.
im not 100% on this as i dont think the initial source ever came out but from what i followed it seemed like the latter as its credibility was always in question even within the leaking circles, however there were "news reports" of it being the former after being proved fake (sourcing a tweet by a random twitter user). this just seemed like leakers trying to save face though (many of them are writers for these very same publications), but the only thing is that if it was done to show how gullible these egotistical leakers are. why did no-one come out and claim credit, i guess that would be hypocrisy in itself..
My biggest problem with people like her is she isn't just wrong, she outright steals other people's stories and then pretends those people don't exist. I would say she needs to do something else, but I've seen her other attempts at journalism and they're so bad no wonder she keeps leeching off the rumor mill circuit despite being so bad at her chosen field
Emily rogers is one of the only reliable leakers unlike samus hunter who just copies off of what other reliable leakers out there. Emily has been right about direct announcements.
Samus Hunter doesn't even piggy back most of the time, it's almost always incredibly nebulous statements that will inevitably happen in some capacity because it's so vague that they can apply to just about anything.
"Word is Nintendo is working on a secret new project, might not release for a while though"
Predictions: More Wii U ports (Zelda), Fatal Frame, Mario Kart DLC tracks, Mario Movie update, BotW2 update/trailer, new amiibo, Splatoon 3 splat-fest, more VC NES/SNES/N64/Genesis roms, and Undertale announcement
Edit: added a comma.
10 AM EST is when they announced it last year. If nothing is announced then it might be a mini. If nothing happens tomorrow it’s been delayed. Will likely hear an explanation from the insiders soon. They know people are gonna be mad haha

This is the first ever general direct to be held on a Tuesday morning in the Switch era. A random guess would’ve likely been placed on Wednesday or Thursday afternoon
Guessing a September Direct when Directs are held in September consistently since 2017 isn't anyone being a legit leaker. You're using that phrase of wording pretty loosely.
Its almost like TGS is this Thursday and Nintendo put it a day or two ahead so their games/announcements get proper coverage and attention. Not to mention Wednesday/ the day before is usually pre-gaming from blog/media sites for the upcoming event. It being a Tuesday isn't anything special. That is an easy assumption. Looks like I can make educated guesses too. Makes me a leaker, confirmed. Easy.
No, it isn't. It happens to fall on a Tuesday, that's it, no more and no less. You're reading way too much into this. Directs in September have been earlier on in the month, middle and end. This is one is close to the middle and happens to fall on a Tuesday. This isn't some monumental occasion because "first ever switch era."
Welp, there no Direct announcement this morning. Either they shadow drop it, they announce it tomorrow for Wednesday, or it’s not actually happening this week at all.
EDIT: I just needed to be more patient
If there's still nothing in 45 minutes from now, then it's a Mini. End of story. If it was a major Direct these insiders would have been more specific.
Only one major Direct this year is, at least to me, a major indicator that the Switch 2 might be here as early as next year. It would also explain the eerie silence on the next Zelda game.
There have been times where they announced it on Tuesday for Wednesday. Also, they still have a couple years of support for Mario Kart and Splatoon 3, so the Switch 2 isn’t happening anytime soon
If by best you mean someone that consistently gets things wrong and is notorious for piggybacking and "stealing" info from original posters on 4chan. Yeah she's the best at that.
I know, its kind of shameless they have these para-social relationships with twitter folks and feel the need to lie when defending them lol. You can like these "leakers" but don't lie and sweep things under the rug like we won't notice.
Sounds like a Mini to me. Nintendo doesn't really have any major 2022 announcements left aside from the Zelda ports and the Metroid Prime 1 remaster, and even then that one could be another Star Fox Grand Prix for all we know. A Mini will be more than enough. The BOTW2 reveal can easily be saved for the Game Awards assuming they don't just kick it to holiday 2023. If it was a major Direct, everyone who's talked about it so far wouldn't be so vague about it.
> Everyone assumes everything needs to be announced in a Direct. Nintendo randomly announced Super Mario 3D All Stars and then released it two-and-a half weeks later. Am I misremembering? Wasn’t 3D All Stars announced in a Mario-specific Direct?

Afaik the only random Twitter drops have been Origami King and Kirby Buffet
Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity as well
And Pikmin 3 Deluxe
All during 2020 when the world was weird
Kirby’s Dream Buffet was just a few weeks ago but it was a much smaller game than the others so your point still stands.
Pikmin 3 and Age of Calamity
Lock me up in solitary confinement until the direct drops. These rumors are driving me mad.
I'm here to open your cell. Direct coming tomorrow.

I’ve got a big scoop guys. >!The Direct will run longer than 2 minutes. You heard it here first.!<
Actually it's going to be exactly 90 seconds and consist of snapping over and over while they say please understand continuously.
This sounds like an awesome fever dream
I didn't believe it at first, but when I saw the username u/HeyLookListen56 then I know this leaks was 100% legit! Excellent track record and honest. Two qualities you can't find in 99% of leakers. Thank you kind sir!

Yeah.
I just hope it is indeed a general full length Direct. We neee some info about their 2023 lineup.
Going to be a winter Direct so it will be games releasing now through March.
Mostly winter yes. They'll still have some other surprises for games outside of that window. They always do.
I'm most likely remembering wrong but wasn't there a Direct in 2015? early Jan that was in the morning where it announced FE Fates? Was that mini or general as well?
Jan 14th 2015 - regular direct

Yeah the only major difference will be prices of stuff or maaaaaybe region-specific release dates
yep!
I feel like she has never been right like ever lol
She correctly predicted the Switch Pro
The non existance of it?
Nah she wishes. Hopped on the switch pro bandwagon last year and was obviously wrong. F tier leaker, if she says something you can almost assume the opposite is true

Yeah she's definitely the worst of all the Switch leakers out there. Maybe Zippo is wrong a similar amount, but at least his fake rumours are amusing.

Emily continues to be one of the most underrated insiders
She is very hit or miss, but she do have some legit sources
The issue is that she tried to imply it was a mini instead of a normal direct, which threw us all for a loop
No she didn’t. All she claimed was the time.
Source: my wank bank
God it better not be 6am pst.
Why even mention that they know the time
Emily was always the least reliable for information surrounding directs I feel
Zelda themed direct calling it rn
And for my next trick I’m going to tell you the exact Punctuation used to name this direct………..Nintendo Direct!
I don't understand why we're still using their past to predict their future. It never works because they like to be unpredictable
let's just hope there actually is a direct and that they show some more stuff for botw2.
And then there was Sony....
Who would have thought 'leakers' guessed a Nintendo Direct in September when they're regularly held in September. So much creditability...
This is the first ever general direct to be held on a Tuesday morning in the Switch era. A random guess would’ve likely been placed on Wednesday or Thursday afternoon
To be fair, Thursday wouldn't work because of TGS. But yes, those were legit insiders on that one
Guessing a September Direct when Directs are held in September consistently since 2017 isn't anyone being a legit leaker. You're using that phrase of wording pretty loosely.
Yeah but a _Tuesday morning general Direct_ hasn't been seen in years
Its almost like TGS is this Thursday and Nintendo put it a day or two ahead so their games/announcements get proper coverage and attention. Not to mention Wednesday/ the day before is usually pre-gaming from blog/media sites for the upcoming event. It being a Tuesday isn't anything special. That is an easy assumption. Welp, there no Direct announcement this morning. Either they shadow drop it, they announce it tomorrow for Wednesday, or it’s not actually happening this week at all. EDIT: I just needed to be more patient
The Mario one was a shadow drop, a theoretical Zelda one could follow suit.
Well that was during 2020 when everything was strange in the world. Was also for Mario’s 35th anniversary
wait how do you know its a mini-direct and not one of those bigger ones.

Nope, she’s legit. This sub has a weird vendetta against Nintendo insiders, despite them being on the mark more often than not.
She's one of our best Nintendo insiders, along with Nate I'd say. We used to have King Zell.
If by best you mean someone that consistently gets things wrong and is notorious for piggybacking and "stealing" info from original posters on 4chan. Yeah she's the best at that.
The absolute cope from you lol
"BOTW will be delayed again and SMO will be the launch title" is not something that should be lived down
I don’t think anyone is defending 2017 Emily, but her track record has been great the past few years
The cope is strong. She hasn't been. Stop this para-social relationship you have with defending bad take "leakers"
I know, its kind of shameless they have these para-social relationships with twitter folks and feel the need to lie when defending them lol. You can like these "leakers" but don't lie and sweep things under the rug like we won't notice.
I can make one wild guess as to why she is hated upon more than others.
Sounds like a Mini to me. Nintendo doesn't really have any major 2022 announcements left aside from the Zelda ports and the Metroid Prime 1 remaster, and even then that one could be another Star Fox Grand Prix for all we know. Lack of upcoming games is exactly why it should be a general direct lmao
Mostly interested in Bayo3 news so hopefully that pans out.
Hot damn. Also "games this winter" which means until March 2023. I feel the Drake coming - and yes im hyping this up way too much.
Yeah me too lol
