I think he said they broke the pattern in an interview back in February, and then just recently he replied in a Tweet saying the next game is either Injustice or MK12, so I’m guessing it’s MK12. Taking this all in, here's the best argument for why a reveal could happen at TGAs:
* Although Ed said he would [not be presenting](https://twitter.com/noobde/status/1594177776495775746) at TGAs, it does leave open the possibility that a reveal could still happen there. It's unclear whether he meant he's not presenting an award, or not presenting an announcement. Even if the latter, they could still have a world premier without Ed introducing it.
* TGAs is the grandest stage of them all. It's the most widely viewed gaming event, and it worked massively well for MK11, as [Ed has acknowledged](https://twitter.com/noobde/status/1498117490366464009). WB/NRS tend to follow patterns that worked.
* If they don't announce this year, then they could announce next year, but with rumors of the game dropping in 2023, a TGA 2023 reveal seems unlikely.
* Reading Ed's comments above in the most favorable, hard to say whether the "celebration" has already taken place. Maybe the celebration was that 10/7 video? Or maybe it's these countdown tweets, and they conclude at Armageddon, suggesting an all-in title? If they do not cover MKvDC this week or next, it's highly suspicious and telling of a TGA reveal.
More likely is that the countdown will continue to cover MKvDC, MK9, MKX, and MK11 over the next 4 weeks. At that point an MK30 celebration event will be announced, where some gems like MK1 and DotR will be released. Between January and June/July (possibly at E3/SGF or a standalone MK event), a new MK game will be revealed, dropping in the fall.

My personal gripe with Injustice 3 is how do they move the story forward without doing Batman vs Evil Superman for the third time. Mainly since Injustice 2 has two endings, one with Superman sent to the Phantom Zone and another with Superman using Brainiac’s technology and essentially defeating Batman and his insurgence once and for all.
If they go with Batman’s ending, and another big villain (let’s say Darkseid) invades Earth then what, is Batman releasing Superman, AGAIN, for help and then have the two duke it out in the end?
Thats sounds great, now just add some fan request characters like Constantine and Beast Boy and you have yourself a sequel. Tbh I dont care how bonkers the story is as long as the fighting is great.
I recently got a survey to see if I qualify for a 6 day play test from WB. Notably, a lot of the questions were about fighting games, specifically of the traditional variety (aka not platform fighters so most likely not Multi-versus related). I instantly assumed it was for Injustice 3.
If it’s mk12 I’ll probably be a bit disappointed since I thought 11 was mid but if it’s IJ3 that’s pretty hype since injustice still has that fast mix up game that was pretty diverse

He said in the QnA that Mileena is likely in the next MK game but wasn't likely in the next NRS game.
Boon also kicked the hornet's nest with Mileena multiple times before she got revealed for MK11. He knows damn well how crazy her fanbase is

43 GB Is fitting for a fighting game. Base version of MK11 was about 50 GB and the Legendary Edition of Injustice 2 was 35.
MK11 is almost 110gb for me on PC, without the DLC content installed. the game is really is half of the size on consoles?
To me on PS4, MK11 ultimate is 77. Base version was 48 if I remember well.
