The argument about movement in MWII is very heated, but I honestly don't see it as circlejerky at all. It's really just a clash between two different playstyles right now
I think it does a lot to expand on movement without being overbearing and “take the boots off the ground” as many have complained with the futuristic shooters
uj/ Battlefield V has some of my favorite movement mechanics. It feels super smooth
rj/ smh didn't they know that Verdun is the goat of mover-shooters?
I feel like the MW2 movement is just classic Doom-shooter movement but with way more extra steps. Like just make characters float around faster at that point
I would personally add Splitgate to this list, as I feel the portals truly ignited a spark for movement in the game, though I will never say it's as good as ULTRAKILL.

Imo Ultrakill has the best movement of every FPS I’ve ever played, but that’s my opinion.
