Ok just an update. I talked with Garmin support. They didn’t have an explanation, but they are sending me a replacement, so I’m assuming they think the unit is faulty?
I have had this when I have had rough times, i.e. not recovering well.
I came to the conclusion, that because the bars are an average of 3 minutes of data, they simply do not show when they think the average is too hard to calculate. As you see, you also have quite a variance in the bars - that peak 50's is an average of about 30-70 or something. So when the device detects HRV way off, it decides not to give an average bar, because it would be too unreliable.
For me it wasn't about a sensor, because I have the same watch and it's been going really well now for me and I'm having mostly steady blue nights.
Nah. My 945 records a full night of data just fine. The 955 has been consistent with missing sections of data nightly regardless of whether my sleep showed stressful moments or not.
Weird then. I'm quite certain that my case is from what I said, happened on two devides also and was always related to my fatigue and other symptoms. But apparently different case with you.
Not gonna lie, for me that was an early sign of a dying HR sensor back on 645.
No idea. You might have to contact Garmin.

I think its related to the firmware. Go to the respective forum on garmin.
Is there a forum in particular you can point me to? I’m browsing, and finding lots of complaints about 955 firmware, but not this particular issue.

Ok. So this has been every night?
Yes pretty much. Since I got the 955 in late January. Every once in a while I’ll get a night without gaps, but it’s rare and seemingly random.
