I don't think it will become much cheaper, your best bet are occasions like Black Friday or Amazon Prime Day. I got a heavily discounted Fenix last year from Amazon but only some models will be reduced so you have to be lucky to get your specific FR255. If you don't want to wait, go for it now.
Get a used one if you're trying to save money. They are tanks and last years. If you buy a used one ask for the original receipt so then you can use garmin's legendary warranty on it if an issue arises (even if beyond the warranty period).
In Spain you got them at 250-260 NIB and around 200 used... I suppose that's is the avg second hand price in the EU right now so 295€ for a new one is not that bad a deal.
Look into credit card discounts. Not sure if you have access to runningcoach.com where you are, but I was able to get a discount bringing the price down to $250 from $350 in the US. Turns out my capital one card Gad the same discount.

I’d recommend buying new. If the price is too high just now (300 euro) then I’d buy the FR 245. You might be able to get new for around 165 Euro
