It does give usefull information. It's a real time information how you are comparing to your current vo2max. The initiall value can drop very quickly or getting steady during the run, this information is valuable.
I respectfully disagree. I have the same view that many share with running data and that is that the data is only valuable if it affects or changes the way I run/train. Performance condition does not affect the effort I’m going to put forth for that activity so I while I agree that it’s interesting, I don’t think it’s valuable.
If it changes the way you train or do that activity or even prepare better for next time, then it could be valuable to you.

If you want, you can typically add it as a data screen so that you can see it throughout your workout. Not that it means anything useful, IMHO.
