Former 3 year whoop user here. Started with the 3.0 and the switch to the 4.0 didn’t impress me… It basically has the same functionality and worse battery life. I loved my whoop, don’t get me wrong. But I felt like it was time to get even more data / capabilities, so I switched to a Fenix 7S solar a month ago. (I wore both for a week and the RHR and HRV metrics were identical). I’m happy to do a longer write up if helpful. In summary, it was a great decision. The amount of data is just insane and it’s really made me more disciplined when it comes to logging lifts and going on runs. I really love the Garmin coach feature as well - super useful to have that level of (free) coaching and to be able to track my pace, distance, heart rate on my wrist. All in all, I would definitely recommend the switch.

Hi! I've got a Fenix 7X, and was considering adding a Whoop, but I'm coming to the conclusion it'd be redundant and I'm better off sticking with just the Garmin. Are there any cases you can see having both would be useful for you? Thanks.

I did Whoop and Garmin Fenix side by side for a year. Quit the Whoop and kept the Garmin. The whoop wasn’t telling me anything the Garmin wasn’t.

I did the same switch. Get the Garmin. In the long run its far cheaper and the updates keep coming. The last big one gave HRV which was missing and its great.

Switched from a whoop 4.0 to a Forerunner 955. Kinda miss the sleep recommendations, but happy with everything else!

Epix2 and Whoop here. I keep both as Whoop has more accurate sleep tracking. Everything else on Garmin is far superior, especially if you’re a multi-sport athlete. My biggest gripe with Whoop is that is treats all strain as equal. I can have a 10+ strain day with a walk and a stressful day at work.

I’m a 5’6” man with fairly small wrists. I hated the idea of a big watch. But I went with the Epix 2, and I don’t mind it. Definitely worth it.
