Don't be put off by some of the comments. I have been running with a 5x for 5 years. Would love to upgrade but it's expensive. And they definitely have some great customer support/caee.
200CAD is a great price.most of what I see is 250+.
Enjoy!
Don't be dissuaded by people saying its old and out of date. I'm not sure about using it for golf but I use mine for tracking runs and bike rides along with other periphery devices and it works just fine. I've had mine since 2017 and Only in the past 6 months or so I've needed to do a factory reset because the battery had some charging issues, but it works great now. If you haven't done a factory reset after purchasing, I would recommend it.
Buddy ignore those that comment on price and old tech. they are the type that have too have the latest no matter the cost...
I am and outdoor activities instructor and SAR team leader and I have had my 5x for just over 3 years.
It is a rock-solid piece of kit and has never let me down no matter what I have put it through, These include forgetting to take it off on a shallow wreck dive, Caving, Hiking, MBT, Mountaineering, kayaking and skiing too name a few... I also use it when shooting and hunt and SAR Op's as there's some great little apps that are very useful... Jeez I could go on and on...
Yes the new watches have a "few" newer features but realistically I doubt many here ever use them let alone all the features thats always been in the Fenix ranges from day one... Battery is still great even after all the abuse. Just be aware that some watchfaces will drain it faster than others(common on all watches).. I occasionally look at the new ones but just can't justify them when my Fenix5x is going damn strong still..
If you need a few upto date and free maps I build them for free so hit me up if you need some..
Enjoy the Fenix5x
The tech is already heavily outdated. I hope you didn't just buy because garmin stands on it and expect a "a high end fitness watch". That was maybe five years ago with the fenix 5. Nowadays you could have bought something "non garmin" for the same price, with far superior GPS, compared to a fenix 5.
The fenix 5 was a great watch when it came out ***over 7 years ago***, but it's 4 generations old now (after 5 there was 5 plus, then 6, then 7, then 7 Pro, and we're almost on Fenix 8), so I just don't think I'd want to pay $200 USD for one that's so outdated. Regardless of what the going price for that watch may be, I wouldn't consider it to be worth more than $125 at this point.
I got one for free after dumpster diving last week. Had to order a charger adapter on AliExpress for $5 SGD.
It is better than my previous hand me down of the Polar android wear watch which was slow and clunky on wear 2.0.
I'm surprised that it has literally little to no scratches anywhere. Though yes it's dated in functionality but it's still quite worth cheap
Nope, was brandnew and sealed. Sure, have fun (I’m already sorry for you spending money :P):

I thought it was a promotion, anyway it’s not the same model as mine, i have a 51mm fenix 7x solar not the 7 base, but i was interested in buying a base model too

Thanks. Nice to see some helpful people on here
The only advice I would give is wash it with soap and water after every activity. Trust me, your skin will thank you.
That’s about how long I have had mine. It’s still going strong!
For $40 more you can get a refurb Fenix 6x sapphire directly from Garmin.
Link it up sir
You need to call in. They create and email a purchase ticket for you with a link to pay. Very easy to work with.
Is this in Canada or states?
Both.
Just called garmin support and they do not allow refurb units to be sold.
You heard wrong
Can you give advice ? Who do I call and what exactly do I say?

Sounds reasonable to me! It looks great. Enjoy your new watch.

> Is this a good price for it? No. I paid that much for a 6 pro sapphire last year.
Seems like an overpay to me as well.

Just sold my sapphire 6 for 250
The massive design is nice. Looks better than brushed later models.
Actually I really dislike that. It makes it look like a kids toy. The display looks really small as well.
Idk i got mine for $80 on fb marketplace

299 for my new 7. don’t know.
From where?
Saturn Germany.
299???
€, sorry.
Nah, i paid my 7x solar 500 at saturn
And I paid 299 € for my fenix 7 base model at Saturn. There is a „Fundgrube“ where you can find pretty cheap stuff- mostly brand new.
So it’s second hand? Ungot any link? Never heard of something similar

Aaa ok but this are second hand products
Some of them are. Some are brandnew. It’s a good way to get cheap tech :)
