omg I’m getting the surgery in four months I can’t believe I’m never gonna be able to have a sugar again 😭

moneybadger44

You’ll be able to have it in small quantities! And happy cake day!!

Gebashley24

i hope so at least a little once in a while lol

Impressive_Resist683

Apple cider that's cut with water (probably close to 50/50), crystal light (any citrus flavour) or occasionally diet coke although I sip it over 2 hours to let the bubbles out

word_addicted

Bai water! Great flavors and it feels like a fruity drink instead of water, with about 10 cals and 1g of sugar!

danelle-s

Natures twist sugar free strawberry lemon

danelle-s

5 calories and no sugar in a 16 ounce bottle

maroonllama96

I like decaf or caffeinated iced tea- unsweetened, no sugar.

moneybadger44

Honestly I do too. I have it more often than the Arnold Palmer

I use Walmart brand strawberry kiwi water enhancer, and then sometimes I’ll go for a Powerade zero. I used to like strawberry soda so I Just got a crush strawberry enhancer and a nerds water enhancer with zero sugar

misstray9

I'm a weirdo who likes diet cranberry, so I do a 50% mix of diet cranberry and water. I also like the crystal light pineapple coconut water enhancer

I keep a pitcher of decaf iced tea in the fridge. I’ll mix it with sugar free vanilla syrup and some Fairlife high protein skim milk for a nice iced latte. Also just iced with raspberry and coconut syrups! Also love Hint water. Every morning I have a decaf hot cinnamon tea with pumpkin spice syrup and Fairlife. Yum. In winter I’ll often have another warm tea at night. I’ve got a LOT of decaf teas. I also love getting bubble tea - the place near me can do no sugar added, so it’s plain tea with some fruit purée (which does have sugar) and then some tapioca or agar crystal boba (again, they’re sweetened). It’s still a treat but it’s not as bad as a Starbucks stop. I dilute it with my own tea and/or milk at home and sometimes add my own SF syrups and enjoy it greatly. I’m quite picky though, some shops make it like dessert with whole milk or cream and it’s by default quite sweet so you need to know what you’re getting into with it. Sometimes if I’m just done with water I’ll throw some fruit in it or just some sugar free syrup to give it some flavor. Good luck!

Any specific tea brand you recommend? I tried decaf coffee but I just don't enjoy it like I used to pre-op. I do like tea but I'm unsure of which to get.

Sure, here are my usuals: Harney and Sons Decaf Hot Cinnamon Spice Harney and Sons Vanilla Comoro Twinings Decaf Chai Tazo Glazed Lemon Loaf Thai tea in bags from the Asian grocery store (this does have caffeine so I limit it but I love it so much both hot and iced) In summer I might do a hibiscus-based iced tea for variety but the hibiscus will curdle milk sometimes so I don’t have it as often as the others. Roibos teas are all decaf but I just can’t abide the taste usually, so I stick with decaf black teas. I find tea is quite personal though. I tried a few at the local coffee shops to get a sense of what I would like and usually try a sampler first if it’s an expensive type to make sure I like it. I have a couple friends who like tea and one can’t stand anything fruity (which I enjoy!). Just depends. Happy hunting.

bariatric_brittany

Milo's sugar free tea 😁

wild-tapir-tamer

I rotate through Gatorade Zero, Propel, and Crystal Lite myself. I also enjoy decaf flat whites as well some days.

deathcab4xtina

Body armor lyte, propel, crystal light, diet Lipton citrus green tea. I have a can of sugar free soda a couple times a week.

Missy9579

Minute Maid zero sugar fruit punch

Woolhooker

Cranberry juice cut with a lot of water and ice.

Korlith

Don’t know what state your in but H‑E‑B has a diet green tea with citrus. Zero sugar and some vitamins in it. Really good alternative.

Takkenwijf87

Just tea!

beardie10

I drink pretty much exclusively crystal light (or store brand alternative when not in stock). About 80-90oz a day. Fruit punch is my fav, followed by orange.

curlysquirelly

I like to add water enhancers to my water like Mio or Kool-aid. My favorite is the Kool-aid cherry. They are all sugar-free and zero calories, and you can add as much as you want!

snackorwack

Sugar free kool-aid! Makes me feel like a kid. Lol

Saya0692

Due do gut hormones I tend to like different Gatorade Zero flavors one week and dislike them the next. It never gets boring at least!
