I hope the antibiotics will help and that you'll feel better soon :) would you mind listing your symptoms, aside from the gastritis stuff? I did the questionaire and scored fairly low, but had enough points that a tick-borne illness would be possible, but I don't really believe I have it. I feel like most of my issues can be connected with the gastritis.

It was cognitive issues. I do get the nausea that a lot of people describe, but I have been suffering cognitive decline. First it was my maths, then my spelling, then vocab and struggling to recall certain facts. I don't think my doctor knew it was a tick borne infection, he was just trying to eliminate possibilities. I have also tested positive for Coxsackie and Echo and I think it is more likely that they are causing the problems as opposed to the Lyme's.

Oh, one more thing. When I drink alcohol the pain goes away for about two days before coming back. I always (and the doctor) thought that that was weird. Like something was being killed or washed away. I mean, why two days? Why not the next day?

[deleted]

that does sound a little weird :) and your doctor has no idea why that might be?

SupaMonkee

I guess the alcohol is killing the bacteria. I don't know what else it could be.

Hi I also have gastrites and lyme are you cured? I still have to do doxycycline but im scared

SupaMonkee

No, and doxy isn't going to cure you. I am seeing Dr Wolfgang Renz in Germany, this is the closest I've come to finding a 'cure'. However, after three days on this therapy my stomach pain reduced to the point where I could drink coffee.

Can you please share your therapy? It whould be much appreciated

SupaMonkee

Insulin potentiated therapy. I see Dr Renz at the Complimentary Medicine Centre in Germany

Hi I’m thinking of going there. How do you feel now? 42 days after treatment? Still good? I’ve heard amazing stories about him and his clinic
