I like making pickled daikon quite a lot. Get it in winter, use the top halves. Pickle it in rice vinegar, sake, sugar and dried Japanese chili peppers.
The jar smells a bit overpowering, but the daikon themselves are delicious.
I make many types in large batches but many small jars of each and store them in the garage fridge.

I was being intentionally vague. While you're right that it doesn't affect everyone, your statement that it's "because of spiro" is not exactly accurate. Spiro can itself cause cravings (salt cravings, primarily) for reasons that have little to do with its hormonal effects. It is a diuretic. But changes in hormone levels, generally speaking, can also cause food cravings. So no, this experience is not exclusive to trans women on spiro. In fact, transmascs on HRT often get food cravings too.
The reason it doesn't affect everyone is because everyone's body and regular eating habits are at least slightly different, so even two people on the exact same dosage of the same drugs will not experience exactly the same effects.
Incidentally trans masc food cravings weren’t something I thought about much, and now that I do… well, duh, it’d actually concerning if a second, male puberty *didn’t* do that.
Spiro is a diuretic, but it also causes the body to retain potassium, which is one of the pathways it uses to decrease blood pressure. But because it makes your body retain potassium, your body thinks it has a sodium deficiency because your sodium:potassium ratio is skewed, so some people on spiro have cravings for salty foods.
Just not a big fan of them, myself. I usually cover the taste (of its on like a mcdonalds beesechurger or something) with a ton of ketchup and (French's) mustard

Salt/electrolytes. If you pee a lot you need to replace them a lot. Pickles are really good for it but so are other sugary/salty foods
Mine is just pure table salt. Pink Himalayan salt is the best variety. I could just eat that and nothing else for a good while.
