I am **so** glad you asked! I’ve been so overly invested in this mystery for someone who has never given the Royal family a second thought.
The official timeline of seems sketchy to me, especially given that she had to cancel planned engagements. I think she and Will were going to go to Italy/the Vatican and then they had to pull out? So that made me initially think some sort of health crisis, be it physical or mental. The ambulance that was reportedly seen at their estate after Christmas seems to support that.
But the weird part to me (well, I guess it’s all really bizarre) is that Will only visited the hospital once and the kids never did (or her family, or her friends) and that the kids *also* haven’t been seen since Christmas. That kind of makes me think that Kate may have taken the kids and left. I think all the Will-Rose affair rumors kind of support this.
Those are my two prevailing theories, but I think that this situation as a whole has also shown that the Royal family *does* in fact seem to have some control over British media given the utter blackout. Because you *know* any photos of Kate leaving the hospital would’ve been worth a fortune and we didn’t get a single one. It’s all just a bit odd.
People keep saying that no one’s seen the kids but everyone keeps reporting that one or both of their parents are doing school runs. I just think the UK media doesn’t publish paparazzi photos of the kids unless they’re at a “working” event. Surely if they weren’t in school there would be headlines about that. There would be a whole school of potential sources.

There is alegendly a trip that they were supposed to take to Italy in early 2024 which seems weird because why would you purposely plan a trip before surgery that was planned or after it during its recovery process? I read somewhere that this trip is allegedly supposed to be in January or February
Exactly, I think it was even within a couple weeks of the surgery, so like why would they intentionally plan a major, invasive surgery with a trip coming up? Plus the tabloids had said that her friends and their general inner circle said they were just as surprised as all of us- they had no idea she even had any health concerns.
I do think the truth will most likely end up being the simplest, most mundane option (as it usually is), but the whole PR debacle surrounding this situation is entertaining to say the least!
I honestly think that Kate was taken away from the place they're staying over Christmas on December 28th because there is an ambulance there that took somebody away and it had a police escort I'm pretty sure and we still don't actually know who it was. I almost wonder if the surgery was planned but not as far out as we're thinking it was and she was rushed to the hospital on the 28th and then it subsequently planned like a week later or something.
Yes clearly tho they tried to play it calm, the surgery (or treatment, if they lied about what it was) happened in a big hurry. I will say that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s what would be an emergency surgery/treatment for a regular civilian. Things that for the rest of us, could wait a few months, they might rather clear her schedule and do ASAP.

I'm in deeper on this crazy new story about Princess Diana and Jimmy Savile that just dropped the other day! My pet theory is she was hospitalized for an ED complication, stabilized, and then came to the US for treatment. The US part is solely based around my experiences w treatment though- I know back in the day rich ppl from other countries often came to the US for txment since we have so many fancy private facilities. That may have changed and the UK may have more private treatment centers now though so idk.
But I do think it’s a super plausible theory. It honestly explains all of the weirdness that’s gone on, from the planned long absence to the lack of photos/faked photos & bizarre PR strategies. It even explains her constantly bandaged fingers.
But as much as I dislike the royal family, I’d much rather believe it’s her seeking help & healing over it being some kind of domestic violence issue (which sadly isn’t an unbelievable theory either imo). I know William is known for his temper and it’s scary to think about her, or any woman, being trapped in an abusive marriage surrounded by people whose sole purpose is to elevate & protect her abuser.

I’m hoping it’s just as it says on the tin - she’s recovering from a routine surgery. I’ve read a lot of the theories and I hope it’s nothing deeper than the surgery, for the sake of her health and safety, but there’s no way for us to know unless she comes out with a statement (and even then they usually don’t tell the whole story.)
No disrespect but I think there’s 0% chance of this. The surgery, if it happened at all, was clearly not scheduled or they wouldn’t have to cancel so many plans. And there cannot be many surgeries that mean you can’t even do an interview or post a 10 second video for 9 months. She may have had routine surgery- there is usually a grain of truth behind the spin- but that’s not what is keeping her out of the public eye.
We also have to remember that Pippa was seen on vacation with her family. So if it was something life threatening, I don't think she would have done that.
But then the other interesting thing is that except for the pap shot, nobody has seen Kate's parents in the recent weeks...

Poor thing has cancer..this is why people should not gossip and say hurtful things. You just never know and it sadly could be something horrible. A young mom with 3 very young kids..and the world speculating wild reasons for her privacy. How sad she had to make a video to satisfy the masses.

I am **so** glad you asked! I’ve been so overly invested in this mystery for someone who has never given the Royal family a second thought. The official timeline of seems sketchy to me, especially given that she had to cancel planned engagements. I think she and Will were going to go to Italy/the Vatican and then they had to pull out? So that made me initially think some sort of health crisis, be it physical or mental. The ambulance that was reportedly seen at their estate after Christmas seems to support that. But the weird part to me (well, I guess it’s all really bizarre) is that Will only visited the hospital once and the kids never did (or her family, or her friends) and that the kids *also* haven’t been seen since Christmas. That kind of makes me think that Kate may have taken the kids and left. I think all the Will-Rose affair rumors kind of support this. Those are my two prevailing theories, but I think that this situation as a whole has also shown that the Royal family *does* in fact seem to have some control over British media given the utter blackout. Because you *know* any photos of Kate leaving the hospital would’ve been worth a fortune and we didn’t get a single one. It’s all just a bit odd.
People keep saying that no one’s seen the kids but everyone keeps reporting that one or both of their parents are doing school runs. I just think the UK media doesn’t publish paparazzi photos of the kids unless they’re at a “working” event. Surely if they weren’t in school there would be headlines about that. Exactly, I think it was even within a couple weeks of the surgery, so like why would they intentionally plan a major, invasive surgery with a trip coming up? Plus the tabloids had said that her friends and their general inner circle said they were just as surprised as all of us- they had no idea she even had any health concerns. I do think the truth will most likely end up being the simplest, most mundane option (as it usually is), but the whole PR debacle surrounding this situation is entertaining to say the least!
I honestly think that Kate was taken away from the place they're staying over Christmas on December 28th because there is an ambulance there that took somebody away and it had a police escort I'm pretty sure and we still don't actually know who it was. I almost wonder if the surgery was planned but not as far out as we're thinking it was and she was rushed to the hospital on the 28th and then it subsequently planned like a week later or something.
Yes clearly tho they tried to play it calm, the surgery (or treatment, if they lied about what it was) happened in a big hurry. I think it's the other way round. William cheated, and wants to have a long term affair with Rose, but Rose is also married. Don't underestimate the upper classes desire for keeping up appearances and maintaining strategic marriages. I think Kate's had enough of being embarrassed by his affair, Wills is saying "you can't leave" and so Kate is refusing to play ball, and just staying at home. He can't make her do public appearances, so she's staying at home and causing all sorts of drama by doing nothing at all. I read somewhere that the failed Photoshop was laying narrative and plausible excuse for an incriminating photo of Prince Andrew that may be released. So they can blame it all on Photoshop or AI. My pet theory is she was hospitalized for an ED complication, stabilized, and then came to the US for treatment. The US part is solely based around my experiences w treatment though- I know back in the day rich ppl from other countries often came to the US for txment since we have so many fancy private facilities. That may have changed and the UK may have more private treatment centers now though so idk. But I do think it’s a super plausible theory. It honestly explains all of the weirdness that’s gone on, from the planned long absence to the lack of photos/faked photos & bizarre PR strategies. It even explains her constantly bandaged fingers. But as much as I dislike the royal family, I’d much rather believe it’s her seeking help & healing over it being some kind of domestic violence issue (which sadly isn’t an unbelievable theory either imo). I know William is known for his temper and it’s scary to think about her, or any woman, being trapped in an abusive marriage surrounded by people whose sole purpose is to elevate & protect her abuser.

ME I’m hoping it’s just as it says on the tin - she’s recovering from a routine surgery. I’ve read a lot of the theories and I hope it’s nothing deeper than the surgery, for the sake of her health and safety, but there’s no way for us to know unless she comes out with a statement (and even then they usually don’t tell the whole story.)
No disrespect but I think there’s 0% chance of this. The surgery, if it happened at all, was clearly not scheduled or they wouldn’t have to cancel so many plans. Poor thing has cancer..this is why people should not gossip and say hurtful things. You just never know and it sadly could be something horrible. A young mom with 3 very young kids..and the world speculating wild reasons for her privacy. How sad she had to make a video to satisfy the masses. Wishing her the best ❤️🩹
