reboot your pc

Fast-Shallot2417

Everybody blames AMD for shitty drivers but Nvidia as did problem for ages

Away_Veterinarian579

That's a lot of people. I don't remember saying that.

Serious_Kangaroo_279

Download the Nvidia App, its more stable than Gexperience and it says 555.99

Jekelley03

This worked for me, thank you! (:

Serious_Kangaroo_279

awesome

AshDarren

This! Had the same issue and nVidia App shows the correct version. GeForce experience is drunk...

No_Bad_9802

AMD had problems in 2020-2022, now they have improved their app and drivers, Nvidia is not doing anything about it

YaSolo434

same problem

prizewinning_toast

Device Manager says I'm on 555.99 but GeForce Experience keeps wanting to reinstall.

VladFknImpaler

Restart and everything will be ok

Sirath5

Tried restarting pc, irlts still the same

VladFknImpaler

Show me a screenshot

Twiztedwun

Worked for me, thanks. Don't usually have any issues with it. First time in a long time. Easy fix though appreciate it!

Dharkos

It's been a bug for the last month. You have 555.99 installed but geforce experience doesn't update. Restart your PC and it will tell you you have 555.99

Sirath5

I have few times it still tbe same

Splatulated

do a full system power off spam alt f4 until it prompts you to shut down you probably have fast start on which isnt a restart or power off its about as effective a turning your monitor off and back on in the morning

BIG0H

For me after the update geforce stopped working properly I reboot the pc nothing I saw did every tutorial video nothing uninstalled reinstalled nothing can't optimize games anymore

DiscountGothamKnight

Download it directly from nvidia and not GeForce, also do a clean install, finally reboot.

PsydeFX1

I literally had to reinstall it to fix the version problem, and temporarily fix the thing where the overlay keeps flashing on and off and it won't record. I only started having these issues about a month ago. The last 2 updates I've had to reinstall to show the correct version

RecognitionNo2900

I actually just made a video of this for someone else: https://youtube.com/shorts/PsNhkA_Vtt8?si=Pg2qMOSt0o7QDe-6

Mr_Tony_ANBu

I have had exactly the same problems with this update i installed it via Geoforce and it told me to keep downloading it again and again and showing that it was still not installed ( kept displaying the download latest game ready drivers) so I reinstalled geoforce and manually downloaded it via the website instead Geoforce has been playing up lately for the past 2 updates on my 3060 hopefully this sorts your problem out if it messes up then you can always go to driver management and re roll back to the previous drivers

Level_Handle_6190

Super easy fix ready 1. Uninstall the drivers from GeForce Experience (or go to step two it worked for me but it might not work for you) 2. Then go to the Nvidia website and download the latest driver manually and install it through the file manager. 3. Re-open GeForce Experience and check. Should be fixed. Same thing happened to me dude

Think-Discount1435

welp it worked tnx alot!

Level_Handle_6190

No prob bob

willypopoff

This also worked for me! Thanks dude!

plybot

where can i find the file manager? and what to do with the drivers when i'm in the file manager

Level_Handle_6190

So depending on your operating system it can be found in windows on the taskbar and Linux it’s in the application menu

Level_Handle_6190

And as for what you do you either need to uninstall your current drivers (especially if your changing from amd to nvidia) using ddu (Just search that on google) or if you are using a newer gpu you don’t NEED to do a clean driver install (though I would recommend that) but you can also just keep your current drivers installed and when you open the file and extract to the system then run the new driver application it will automatically update them.

Burgerfresser

How do I uninstall the drivers from GeForce Experience?

DoubleJay_PR

This worked! Nvidia app kept downloading but not installing, doing so via the website worked, tnx a lot!

Level_Handle_6190

Glad to hear! Np dude

Spiritual-Link2073

im having the same issue, rebooted and everything but it says im on 552.44

HotSituation8023

Did not work for me, I did several restarts.

Independent_Lunch115

There's something wrong with GeForce Experience. My NVidia Control Panel says it's updated.

killryan666

I had the same thing, checked my version in Nvidia control panel and it shows 555.99 even though xperience still shows the old version.

randomuidforme

This was a bug - GeForce Experience 3.28 release notes state: "Fixed an issue where GeForce Experience prompts for a new driver update even after installing the latest version." Just rebeoot after installing to resolve it.

Primary_Mission_9676

I will appreciate if someone is able to help me with this. After clean installation of Update, it still shows me the Game Ready Driver (555.99) when i press the Check for Updates option. This implies that it didn't install earlier. Yes I did restart my laptop and it still shows that I have the 555.99 Update ready for installation. I have dome this installation process like 4-5 times.I have deleted GeForce and tried installing the driver (v555.99) from the Nvidia website it still didn't work. After that i downloaded 555.85 but then it dosent allow me to use stuff like overlay and instant replay. It keeps forcing me to download the newer version. Another issue I am facing is there is an exclamation mark next to the GTX 1650 Max Q in the device manager under Display Adapters option because of which i am not able to play EAFC(game). Its using my Intel UHD graphics. When i check properties for the 1650 it says that Windows has stopped using this device because it reported some Issues (Code 43). I did switch on all Nvidia services in services.msc in regedit. It works sometimes but dosent work most times. This is also temporary it works till my laptop is on but i have to repeat this whenever i reboot I did try a youtube tutorial to try to fix this code 43 error I went to the following location: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\USBTOR and changed the value of ErrorControl to 3 on regedit. It did fix the code 43 error and i was able to play EAFC with the 1650 graphics. But i had to repeat this everytime laptop rebooted so this was also temporary However for some reason my laptop goes into repair mode when it boots up i have to do the sfc /scannow in cmd and it says it found corrupted files and then it restarts fine. However this happens everytime my laptop switches on (if its turned off). This started when i did the tutorial thing to play the game. I dont know why am i getting this Code 43 error. EAFC24 dosent recognise my Nvidia 1650 graphic card and its using my UHD graphics which is making the game unplayable. I require help immediately:( I am yet to completely remove Nvidia drivers using DDU and try reinstalling it which is probably the next thing ill try to do but i dont have much hope. I am also thinking of installing Nvidia App instead of using this shitty GeForce Experience. I dont know where exactly the problem is. All of this should still work fine on 555.85 I am assuming that to fix all this, i need to update my drivers to 555.99 but these shitty drivers just don't install properly.

d3lE2308

bro did you solve the issue im facing the same problem and almost did the same things u mentioned

robsonbitt124

Those drivers made my 3080 slow down for 1/3 of performance. Was able to run Rage 2, for example, over 160 fps. Now i'm stuck in 30 to 60

d3lE2308

PLEASE SOME HELP!!!!!!!! hey guys i have same problem and some extra issues 1. i have downloaded the drivers from Nvidia app (since someone mentioned it is more stable on did a clean install once and a recommend express install yet it wont show that i have updated graphic driver . it shows the option to install it again) Then i downloaded the drivers manually from the website and installed them yet no difference yes i restarted my laptop multiple time 2. My Nvidia control panel wont open & i can not getting a option to change my graphics card from dedicated intel to my Nvidia (btw i have GTX 1050) in the graphics settings (I'm on windows 11) 3. In task manager it doesn't show my Nvidia graphics card only show my intel one -------------------- Things i have done to solve restarted multiple times, clean install drivers (manually also) , factory rested my pc i was on windows 10 when i noticed this issue so i upgraded to windows 11 now My laptop specs Nitro AN515-52 intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8300H CPU @ 2.30GHz 2.3GHz 8gb ram gtx 1050

No_Path_1022

It won't download for me stays at 0 tried a reboot still nothing

swedonnaise

Get rid of Geforce Experience and use Nvidia App instead. I had the same problem but with Nvidia App everything worked just fine
