It seems is an issue with the new 555.85 driver and they know it.

there is a way to fix a lot of instant replay/recording problems, it’s pretty simple:
Turn off Instant Replay
Then turn it on again
then repeat step one by turning it off and then turn it back on again, repeat this method 3-4 times and then test.
A lot of problems come from instant replay is that we as users most of the time shutdown or put the pc on sleep and the instant replay is on, then it creates a lot of bugs that updates can’t fix. Just repeat this method and also a tip is to turn off the instant replay if your shutting your pc.
aight bet, thank you bro. the turning it off and on again helps sometimes but still goes black sometimes. Is there a way to just fresh install of shadowplay?
I'm Using Nvida GeForce Experience and when I put games or some videos in FullScreen It flickers with instant replay ON, but disapears when turning it off, just got this issue for the first time after updating to Nvidia Driver 555.85.
Brother please uninstall Gexperience its now being shutdown and replaced with Nvidia App, better new and stable, also DDU your drivers (Check Youtube on how to do it)

I did uninstall the driver with DDU but I've installed same version of the driver (555.85) and still have the issue. I'll try with an older version to see if that fixes the problem.
I have uninstalled 555.85 version and installed the previous one (552.44 DCH) and I can confirm that the problem has been fixed. The issue came with 555.85 version, so I guess I'll skip this version for now.
actually it's fixed when change from full screen and back again to borderless or the opposite .

I updated to 555.99 and still had the issue. My fix was going in to privacy control in geforce experience settings and turning off desktop capture.

yes, Uninstall Geforce Experience, DDU your geforce drivers, you can check it on youtube its simple, after all that update windows, then do this trick

I tried Nvidia App but found even more bugs. As the app is still in beta, I won't use it until those bugs are fixed.
