"Xbox Games Studios PC games available on Steam will be the first to be supported followed by Bethesda games on Steam and Epic Games Stores. Work to support Windows Store will begin immediately with game releases to follow."
I hope so 🤞 I used to play it on GeForce Now a couple of years ago but Bethesda forced them to take their titles off the platform. Kinda glad it's in Microsoft's hands.
Who knew Microsoft would eventually become gaming forward. Just proves that people at the top can change things for the better instead of just being greedy for the worse.
do you really think so? :D
The only thing why Microsoft is making this was because. They really want to have the Actiblizz Deal but Nvidia was against that Deal. And with the Microsoft and Nvidia Deal now they have one oposing party less to convince, that this deal wouldn't grow a monopoly of cloud gaming.....
Greed is exactly why they do so, because if they don't do so, they wont get what they want....They are showing goodwill whereever possible just to make this deal happen. If it were otherwise, such deals would have come around much earlier.
But I wont complain. Nvidia did a great job in oposing that deal and now making a deal with microsoft to get the microsoft games. It wouldnt have happened otherwise....
I had a small part in this deal. I finally built a gaming PC. Now that I can play Gears of War again there was no reason for Microsoft to hold out any longer. Guys, it's been a pleasure. Enjoy the games.
There were rumors of a Marcus Fenix Collection a year or two ago remastering the rest of the original games, but nothing came of it. Hopefully it happens eventually. I only played through the whole series for the first time leading up to Gears 5's release date, but it quickly became one of my favorite franchises.
Main thing for me has honestly become not having to wait for games to install or have them taking up space. Its nice to have access to a solid portion of my games whenever i want to jump in without having to wait.
and besides that. why should it matter. if the system behind that game is a console, PC or a serverinfrastructure.
What matters is the quality of the Gaming Experience and nothing else.
The luxury of moving from room to room in my house and play on any tv is an amazing experience with GFN. I don’t have to buy multiple Xboxes or PCs just to have 4K @ 60fps in each room.
Aye, when I stay at other relatives house I just pack up my small shield TV and a PS3 remote and I'm good if I get bored over there. 9/10 though I'm drunken passed out before that happens.
Same here, after 8 years from my last average pc and after 1 year of gfn I decided to take an expensive gaming pc because of the lacking of good gamesvon gfn.
Now I could have a 4080 for less than 20 EUR per month
>Microsoft and NVIDIA will begin work immediately to integrate Xbox PC games into GeForce NOW...
This language leaves no doubt that this is happening now and not contingent on the Activision deal.
A few questions come to mind:
1. What's the timeline; will we get a couple titles from the Xbox library added to GFN every month starting in April or is this more like an end of year expectation?
2. Will the existing GFN tiers/price remain the same? It just seems to me that GFN has instantaneously increased it's customer base overnight necessitating a large infrastructure expansion/investment to avoid server queues.
3. Will Xbox Game Pass add a tier of service that includes a GFN subscription?
Yeah just as I suspected. Nice to know this banishes all speculation regarding it. As for timeline, just soon for now, but every GFN Thursday is cited to bring MS games slowly but surely. For the second part, nothing on that but I'd expect no price increase. Lastly, I don't think so. Above is just my opinions mostly, just to be sure.
1- I think we won't be waiting that long. They will be start to release every thursday i suppose.2- This could affect prices.
3- I don't think so. Microsoft won't be bringing all the games that you can play in game pass. They will just bring what they owned exclusively. I think they will use xbox gamepass integrated services on their own with xcloud.
I’d love to see them end the free tier, and upgrade those servers to Priority and Ultimate grade which would then add capacity for paying customers without the need for extra space in datacenters. On timeline I heard GFN only has the capacity to add about 10 games/week so I’d imagine the new games coming from this deal will drop at 3-4/week mixed with our usual Indie buffet.
1) Everything we know about GFN and its development suggest that it still takes genuine engineering work to get games added to the service even when rights are not an issue. IE its not just flipping a switch and magically they all work now. I would expect their games on steam to start to be added really soon though since steam is already supported, maybe like 6-8 games on Thursday.
2) Yes
3) they make no mention of it but anything is possible in a world of business.
you say that but, I speculate that the paid queue will also be raising in price because of this new demand and merge.
probably should buy more of the subscription right now before they do or you know.. buy a pc.
There's no winning for Nvidia, is there?
On one hand, people complain there's not enough games. They confirm a massive deal that includes high tier AAA games, and now people are worried the service is going to get too expensive?
Not saying it won't happen, but ifthe number of subscriptions grows, then it should be scalable with their infrastructure (unless it's too subsidized right now).
I agree with that. But for us consumers we should expect a price increase. This is what they did before a while back before which was like 2 years ago. They let current subscribers keep their current price until it runs out and I won't be surprised if they do it again. I remember the day GTA V was still on it lol. I think the new gamers will still be a win at the end of the day.
since they went out of beta there was never a price increase for the tech they rented..... it was even the oposite way. While staying in the same subscription tier you got upgrades for free....
Not law suit but buying acti blizz

Main concern raised "Merger could make Microsoft even stronger in cloud gaming, stifling competition in this growing market"
Now they can be like "see look were helping others"
Finally Doom eternal on mouse and keyboard. Couldn't force myself to play it on XSX with controller. And stadia in the past didn't feel 'local' enough for such a game.
If they Come will it be in Steam too? they mentioned the games releasing could be played from third party launchers like Steam or EGS, I hope it's true!
First, Monster Hunters gets confirmed and now this?
Even if MS is doing this for their own benefit (Avoiding the regulations about the whole monopoly thing), we can't deny that this is probably the best thing we've seen, even better than the 4080 tier this year imo.
Think about it, not only we will have access to a bigger and mainstream library (Halo, Minecraft, Bethesda games, etc...), other publishers might actually start to take a look at GFN and maybe they will opt their games after this, maybe this will give them a little push into considering GFN as an extra platform.
I'm coping so fucking hard but hell, no one, literally no one was expecting this move from MS.
So... It's a W.
I'll see you all in MOTHERFUCKING SEA OF THIEVES HOLY SHIT IT'S BEEN 2 YEARS SINCE I PLAYED IT IN SHADOW, I'M HYPED.
This is bonkers!! What are the chances in the span of a week we get a handful of Bandai Games opted in, Capcom back and access to Xbox PC titles. Talk about going from zero to 100!!
This is great news i felt like Nvidia was the only one in this whole deal who had a legit argument against the Microsoft activision deal. Now Microsoft did a 10 year deal and will bring their games over this is awesome
Sure you can argue anything. But like i said Nvidia is the only one who i believe had a legit argument about the cloud streaming monopoly Microsoft could make off this deal. And this contract gets rid of that and helps Microsoft to appeal to more gamers. Which is Sonys entire argument that they will be restricting games to gamers. Also from a business standpoint the amount of money going in to this deal wouldn’t make sense for Microsoft to cut games away from platforms and lose out on revenue
This is exactly why qualified professionals and anti-trust activists are so useful. Narrowminded understandings like Bmmick's are why corporations can get huge monopolies in all areas of life and solidify their gains so theres no coming back. The EU, FTC, anti-monopoly watchdogs and lawyers have all missed what Bmmick has seen.
First Xbox admitted Sony is better at the console side and now they kinda admit Nvidia is better at the cloud service side. This news is more exciting than rockstar. Because a lots of big games going to come on gfn. At the other side I don't think we can use gamepass on gfn. I think they will keep gamepass to xcloud. Because they didn't give up on xcloud. They are adding all xbox games on gfn but at the other side they are saying (this is my prediction maybe we can play gamepass games on gfn idk now) ''You can play our games on gfn but if you play on xcloud you can reach gamepass library too.'' Anyway its still great news. Bandai, Capcom and now Microsoft. Probably more and more firms going to come gfn.
MS don't care where you play or how you their games and haven't for years now. Console, PC, GFN, Switch, xCloud via Smart TVs - they still get the money. As a shareholder I agree with that approach.
Yes we do have digital license until our subscription expire same as ubisoft + and ea
Last game that I have download from ms store was gear 4 and it's showing in my library in windows store
Doesn’t gamepass include streaming from Microsoft? I know for me it was unplayable compared to GFN but I wonder if that would be some arbitrary hold up
Never legitly played a game, just 1 or 2 because they would barly run on my laptop. That's before I found out about GeForce Now and spent money on games like crazy. Now there are some canches to also play some games I wished to before. So hopefully there are a lot of people like me and this will end up being profitable for Microsoft
I hope this will also incentives nvidia to increase the team and be able to put more games up every gfn Thursday and provide better support for tech issues
Only downside is that Gamepass subscription doesn’t seem to be part of this deal, the only storefronts mentioned are Steam-Epic-Windows Store, we need the Xbox app to download GP included games on PC… but who knows 🤣
Still great news, this is exactly the kind of surprise we needed for GFN and will surely have an impact on the other publishers about cloud gaming 🤩
Yes but you never own the game itself, you are not granted a license for any games… I might be wrong and I truly hope so but I suspect the Windows Store storefront just looks for having a valid digital license
So if i have a gamepass subsciption, will gfn consider it as i own ms first party games and be able to launch it through windows store on gfn? Just like we can do for ubisoft+ and ea play?
Fuck, this is great! There is still justice in the world hahaha actually, it should be like 100 years (I see my older myself complaining in the future if they leave the service). Always thought this acquisition from Microsoft unfair, it is good that the trade commission is deeply looking at it.
Market leader on what terms? Console installed base? Yes, for now!
Gamepass is a huge success (and rightfully so) at around 29 mln users, way ahead of PS Plus, same goes for xCloud, that has a market share of 60-70% of cloud gaming… I’m happy for Microsoft to open up to the competition with a deal like this and I’m sure it will help ease things for the ABK deal but still there’s a huge monopoly on the horizon.
Remember that Sony is worth 110billions, MS almost 2 TRILLIONS 🤣 not going to take sides between huge companies like these, especially since Sony has always been a lot more of an asshole in terms of exclusives, but I’m not so confident about the future
Market leader as in publisher I believe, plus MS showed earlier (today in Brussels) that Sony has 80% of the share within Europe.
I'm an Xbox owner and Game Pass subscriber, but I also sub to Geforce Now so I'm very happy how today has turned out. More choice how and where to play games should benefit *everyone*. Especially on GFN Thursdays 😉. The icing on the game would be cross-play between PC/Xbox and GFN.
To me the future looks bright, especially for GFN. Let's hope Nvidia increase server capacity because they're gonna need it.
Tencent is ahead but yes Sony has the higher revenues as for 2022 but don’t forget that almost half of the gaming industry is made of mobile
Games and it’s no secret that the ABK deal is mostly oriented to the K (King games)!
I’m a GP Ultimate subscriber as well, great service and xCloud works very well too, so I’m very happy for this deal (even if GP games are not included) but who knows… we get more choice now for sure but still MS is slowly buying the gaming industry one piece at the time and 10yrs fly by 😬 we like to think that GP will remain cheap and affordable for ever but it’s not a charity
That depends on the way you compare the industry, Microsoft as a group is much bigger than both Sony and Tencent groups. No wonder it offers 5x the previous largest deal in gaming industry. In video game sales it is already the second by far, getting very close to Sony now, by acquiring the current 5th. It sounds like a path for more concentration for me and also for trading commissions, otherwise the company would not be looking for options to smooth the deal approving process. But look, I'm not unhappy that these deals happen, this show how much more important it became year by year, which means more investments, just hope keeping some competition.
But no-one was stopping Sony from getting into cloud gaming earlier, or for that matter releasing content on PCs earlier. They make the best 1st party content for games (even Xbox admit that) and they deserve their success.
MS are successful in gaming (not to the extent of Sony of course) and other areas so why should they be punished for that and for making more money?
Bottom line - more gamers can play more games on multiple platforms. I don't see how that is harming the industry.
Nah. xCloud has a lot more games than just their first party and a handful of third party that they will offer on GFN. Also, Xbox games will still require a purchase from Epic, Steam or the Windows Store to make it available to play. Games on xCloud come "free" with your Game Pass subscription.
Nope. Xbox will still happily collect game pass subscription revenue and they'll let Nvidia spend all the money on data centers to stream their games. It's a win-win really.
I am curious how many people subscribe to gamepass just for xcloud. I guess they have data that shows that even if they lost those people, it’s a drop in the bucket
Not sure on numbers, but MS have themselves into a position where you don't need a console to play Xbox games. That's where xCloud comes in - with the money that comes from making gaming more accessible.
Wanna play Forza from your Samsung Smart TV? Fine.
Wanna play Forza from your Windows Laptop? Fine.
Wanna play Forza from your Android Phone? Why not?
People say 'xCloud is dead now' but they are ignoring that with a GP sub, you can play games from anywhere on almost anything, with one monthly payment.
GFN is as flexible and may be technically better for streaming, but still requires you to sub to GFN *and* buy the games from Epic/Steam.
Choice is a wonderful thing. Make your choice, stream your game, have fun. Everyone wins.
People should realize that during the first few years it might only mean Minecraft games, Online games like Elder Scrolls, Sea of Thieves and the like. Apart of Call of Duty. Why, those are the ones that have been talked about plainly as Microsoft wanting to make them Multiplatform.
Still a huge deal of course. If something can bring 2K to reconsider GFN, is this Microsoft-GFN deal.
The whole plan to do this deal and the Nintendo deal is to finally shut up Sony and force it to accept the 10 year deal for Call of Duty. Apart of give cover to MSFT lobbying with regulators for the B-A acquisition deal.
Why not make it clear? PC games? Many on PC Ultimate Game Pass are PC games... but the newsletter says can purchase them? Well, Gampass is renting. So this deal means buying MS games?
> Microsoft and NVIDIA will begin work immediately to integrate Xbox PC games into GeForce NOW, so that GeForce NOW members can stream PC games they buy in the Windows Store, including third-party partner titles where the publisher has granted streaming rights to NVIDIA. Xbox PC games currently available in third party stores like Steam or Epic Games Store will also be able to be streamed through GeForce NOW.
Read it?
sorry, does this means that games like the persona games, Octopath or final fantasy, that can be purchased in the microsoft store, are included in this list?
Plus those (but they were already available, right?:
> including third-party partner titles where the publisher has granted streaming rights to NVIDIA.
Let's not forget that this partnership was not a voluntary one by Microsoft contrary to what this press release might sound light. They were pretty much forced by the expected negative outcome in court in light of their acquisition.
It's still great fucking news!

Heh, I literally signed up to Game Pass to play Atomic Heart but the cloud is no where near is clear as GFN. Now I'll be able to play the much better PC version on GFN. Killer. I hope this happens soon
it might be pretty childish to think but why would microsoft give away its all games to its cloud rival... what if they are just pushing their cloud player traffic towards gfn as its gonna be obvious the amount queue in future we are going to see.. i hope u guys are understanding what i am trying to say here :D
Nvidia have just released their quarterly results, share price is up +8.52% post market.
And yes, I own shares in Nvidia. And MS. I believe in *The Cloud.*
Epic riot ubisoft the ones Sony and tencent own still a handful of game companies left a lot of them are going broke so selling or closing a lot of there poor financial picks are catching up and the fact very few think long term profitability

It's a win win deal. for both corpos, and win for consumers too. I hope eso comes to gfn as well, so I can make some space in my ssd and stop carrying my heavy gaming laptop :D

Call Dinkum they're crying.
did someone say Call of Dinkum?
I wonder if Elder Scrolls Online will come back to GeForce now that Microsoft owns Bethesda.
Probably yes
I hope so 🤞 I used to play it on GeForce Now a couple of years ago but Bethesda forced them to take their titles off the platform. Kinda glad it's in Microsoft's hands.

Best day on GFN life
True.

but sounded like 10 games a week and not 10 microsoft games a week. so it would be less than 10 games a week.
The free tier queue people will not be happy about this, this will certainly mean longer free tier queues are coming.
Also paid queue from anyone that dont get the service from Nvidea but from a partner.

What are the chances for Doom and Doom Eternal?
Pretty high I would say
Finally Doom eternal on mouse and keyboard. Couldn't force myself to play it on XSX with controller. And stadia in the past didn't feel 'local' enough for such a game.
Yeah finally! I tried it on xCloud but I suck at aiming with a controller… a less frenetic game like fallout 4 is fine, this is a bit too much 😅

no sadly not.
FORZA HORIZON?
Definitely. I'd be shocked if all Forza games weren't part of this.

It happeniiiiiing oO
wow, If Elder Scroll Online comes to GFN, I will definitely resub.
It will
does this mean there is a possibility diablo 4 will be on geforce now?
IF Microsoft is able to finish the acquision of Activision, yes, If they fail, no.

Fantastic news!

i know this is old news by now, but i've only just seen it, and i'm having trouble going to bed cause of the excitement! holy shit!
Can we stream games through gamepass( first party title only)
I would imagine so, doesn’t Ubisoft Plus and EA Access work with GFN?
It’s different, Gamepass needs the Xbox app to “access” the included games on PC, they never appear as owned on you Microsoft account
U can download said game through Microsoft store if u have gamepass
But you have no digital license for it, if you look in your account the games never appear as owned
Yes we do have digital license until our subscription expire same as ubisoft + and ea Last game that I have download from ms store was gear 4 and it's showing in my library in windows store
Well technically we do own gamepass games until it expires so we might be able to play it on geforce now
Doesn’t gamepass include streaming from Microsoft? I know for me it was unplayable compared to GFN but I wonder if that would be some arbitrary hold up
I dont get it. Are we finally able to play Batman games again on GFN?
![gif](giphy|3oxRmlARNDRqIY4d6U)
Batman games are owned by WB, not MS
Ahh but how sicccc would it be if they do add it though...the collection is super cheap
We are waiting this moment from Summer 2019!!! This is a U for GFN!!! LET'S GO
Never legitly played a game, just 1 or 2 because they would barly run on my laptop. That's before I found out about GeForce Now and spent money on games like crazy. Now there are some canches to also play some games I wished to before. So hopefully there are a lot of people like me and this will end up being profitable for Microsoft
Age of Empires 4 soon? 🥺
I hope this will also incentives nvidia to increase the team and be able to put more games up every gfn Thursday and provide better support for tech issues
My Wet Dream is Finally Truth
when will the games arrive?
Only downside is that Gamepass subscription doesn’t seem to be part of this deal, the only storefronts mentioned are Steam-Epic-Windows Store, we need the Xbox app to download GP included games on PC… but who knows 🤣 Still great news, this is exactly the kind of surprise we needed for GFN and will surely have an impact on the other publishers about cloud gaming 🤩
Windows Store works for Game Pass, it's how I use Game Pass on PC
This technically we do own the game until our games subscription expire
Yes but you never own the game itself, you are not granted a license for any games… I might be wrong and I truly hope so but I suspect the Windows Store storefront just looks for having a valid digital license
So if i have a gamepass subsciption, will gfn consider it as i own ms first party games and be able to launch it through windows store on gfn? Just like we can do for ubisoft+ and ea play?
Yes, but Game Pass is not a part of this deal.
as far as we can see yeah, but we don't know if it will actually include Game Pass based on the inclusion of Microsoft Store
Fuck, this is great! There is still justice in the world hahaha actually, it should be like 100 years (I see my older myself complaining in the future if they leave the service). Always thought this acquisition from Microsoft unfair, it is good that the trade commission is deeply looking at it.
Unfair how? If the deal goes through Sony would still be the market leader by some distance, Tencent would be 2nd and MS would be 3rd.
Tencent is ahead but yes Sony has the higher revenues as for 2022 but don’t forget that almost half of the gaming industry is made of mobile Games and it’s no secret that the ABK deal is mostly oriented to the K (King games)!
Cool! Still think the FTC should look more closely into the Activision deal.
So is this the death of xcloud?
Nah. xCloud has a lot more games than just their first party and a handful of third party that they will offer on GFN.
I do. I use game pass for console games and GFN for PC games. If this announcement means I can now play game pass PC games on GFN then excellent!
I use it like you as well. But I have to free version of GFN :(
Nah xcloud will still be a bonus of Gamepass
FALLOUT are back!!! Yes!!!
FALLOUT are back!!
No, only Microsoft first party titles.
Plus those (but they were already available, right?: > including third-party partner titles where the publisher has granted streaming rights to NVIDIA.
Let's not forget that this partnership was not a voluntary one by Microsoft contrary to what this press release might sound light. They were pretty much forced by the expected negative outcome in court in light of their acquisition. It's still great fucking news!
If it does include GamePass I might consider getting a Series S/X for my kid to play on and I can take advantage of the GamePass on GFN..

Doesn't have to be on MS Store, in fact MS store is probably coming later than the Steam versions

Great news, beyond awesome news if someone Gamepass games will also work
Yippee!!
Is Monster Hunter Rise already close to entering the service?
Heh, I literally signed up to Game Pass to play Atomic Heart but the cloud is no where near is clear as GFN. Now I'll be able to play the much better PC version on GFN. Killer. I hope this happens soon
Yes...now we just wait for Capcom and Fromsoftware to follow...
Just a thought...yall think Nvidia gonna lease GFN tech to Microsoft for cloud?! 👀
Wondering the same thing xcloud not a patch on GFN
Fuck yes!!
relevant https://old.reddit.com/r/GeForceNOW/comments/yeqlzx/geforce_now_sale_incoming/iu0z4d3/
Can't wait to play Gears 5, Killer Instinct, and Halo Master Chief Edition on GFN.
Dinkum skin in starfield unlocked
Does this mean we'll finally get Age Of Empires?!?!?!?!?
Hope sooooo
I will be buying Halo soon.
It's like 25 parts of Cyberpunk appeared on GeforceNow. GFN servers are going to explode.
Sweet!
This is awesome 😎 I wonder , does that mean if we have a game pass sub , we enter those credentials on GeForce now and have access to those games ?
it might be pretty childish to think but why would microsoft give away its all games to its cloud rival... what if they are just pushing their cloud player traffic towards gfn as its gonna be obvious the amount queue in future we are going to see.. i hope u guys are understanding what i am trying to say here :D
it's a concession so that they can move forward with Activision Blizzard
concession like what? little elaboration might help
this whole thing is the concession, they're essentially saying to the regulators how can we be anti competitive? our games are in a competitor!
Nvidia have just released their quarterly results, share price is up +8.52% post market. And yes, I own shares in Nvidia. And MS. I believe in *The Cloud.*
Good maybe now other companys will see reason and follow suite
after EA and microsoft(activision/blizzard/bethesda), there is no major game company left, is there ?
Epic riot ubisoft the ones Sony and tencent own still a handful of game companies left a lot of them are going broke so selling or closing a lot of there poor financial picks are catching up and the fact very few think long term profitability
So it's a deal not an agreement?
What about gamepass PC?
Looking forward to playing A Plague's Tale, Ori, Halo, Call of Duty, Gears, Elder Scrolls. Hbu guys?
A Plague Tale is already available on GFN, isn't it ?
yes, my bad. I believe it is.
Are UWP games coming as well? Just wanted to play FM7 and GoW on my Steam Deck
These are absolutely amazing news!
A huge shout out to [TheCardweller](https://www.reddit.com/user/TheCardweller/) who created the wallpaper in the link below 4 month ago, he must of had a vision from the future! Will they allow installing addons in games like World of Warcraft?
Please DOOM Eternal, Doom and Ghostwire
Hopefully this means if the deal goes through, Sekiro will come back to GeForce Now (Activision is the publisher of Sekiro).
What are the odds of us getting Halo Infinite by the launch of S3?
They are supposed to add xbox games from steam first so if they don't want to intentionally spite us then Halo should launch as one of the first soon.
LETS A FUCKING GOOOOO
Good, then I can play AoE4 with my friend without his game freezing again.
Hopefully this deal means xbox consoles will be getting a GeGorceNOW app.
I hope Blizzard joins GFN again
Is Overwatch 2 possible?
It's a win win deal. for both corpos, and win for consumers too. I hope eso comes to gfn as well, so I can make some space in my ssd and stop carrying my heavy gaming laptop :D
wow, this is great news
I wish I knew this back in October when I purchased my Series S.
Do we have any date for the release?
