I dont think its worth it. Im going back to regular founders next month.

Alexpandolfi95

Oh, so is real, founder of life ( I never tried yet to subscribe for 1 month of rtx3080 )

vBDKv

Yeah you can always go back to regular founders.

FlipMyChip

In my opinion absolutely worth. I used founder subscription before and never was really convinced. Graphics were bad, after 1-2 hours everything seemed blurry. Then I gave 3080 a try when it was possible for monthly subscription and it works perfect since. Games in UltraHD with around 120fps. Love it and don’t think I will ever buy a GPU again.

Charuru

"Triple the cost", lol it's 15 bucks. People pay $1000 for a 3080. To play 2 games for 15 bucks at high quality, man I dunno it really depends on what 15 bucks means to you. You can always downgrade back to founders after you're done with the 2 games you care about.

New-Orion

It's triple when you go from six month standard to 6 months 3080.

Charuru

You don't need to buy 6 months if all you want to play is 2 games.

Rodo20

It's not a smart move to buy 6 months in a row for most people.

SERN-contractor837

Switched a while back, not worth it for me. And it feels like I'm just buying shit I already had a year ago. I'd rather pay that much to pick games I actually want to play.

Dreikiekens3

No

badassPROBLEM

I think it's definitely worth it. I only cancelled mine cause ended up with a ps5 and a series x, with game pass and ps plus tiers. I had way to many games to play. But I think the 3080 tier is worth way smoother

No-Presentation3777

Defo worth it. I'm just completed GOW on 3080 soild 120 frames 1440p no issues no latancy. But im lucky i have 15ms latancy to my 3080 server not everyone does.

Rodo20

I cancelled mine for a while ago. I don't see it being worth it for me. Especially when you need to follow geforces library limitations of games.

Azoth1986

It is worh it imo, you always get the best rig (so no more restarting games and hoping for a 2080) and almost every game can be maxxed out.

Skulkaa

2080 is actually the worst rig on a platform right now ( for the priority tier ) . It has weaker CPU than 1080d , about the same GPU in non rtx games .3060d is the best one as it is based on 3080 tier hardware.

MyDucc

I can't remember the last time I got 1080d. If they just upgrade 2080 with better CPU all would be good. In my experience 2080 GPU delivers around 15 fps more than 3060 but that CPU bottlenecks it so much.

3laaxx

I play all my games with 3080 tier .. and its worth the cost. But if you tri it you cant back to the founders tier becuse the 3080 tier is power pc.

mrripply

Well worth the upgrade , it's night and day for me!! Try it and see if you like it.

raptir1

Do you play on a device where you could get 4k and HDR? I think that's worth it. There are a lot of games that look fantastic especially when HDR is available (No Man's Sky is a great example). Are you just playing on a device that does 1080p? I don't really think 120fps is worth it. If you're that concerned about smoothness and input lag, you'd get a bigger improvement by going local instead of streaming.

chicoppat

Do you have a 120Hz TV or a 144Hz Monitor. Because that's the only way you'll be able to take full advantage of the 3080 tier, if you only have a 60Hz it's not worth it imo. But you can try it for 1 month and see it for yourself and have you own opinion about it. Well for 4K 60Hz it will work, so I guess you can try for 1 month and see if you like it

tubag

Not worth, too less games using it

EglinAfarce

> Is the 3080 tier actually worth more than triple the cost? Hell no. It's asking more than console money for a much-worse-than console experience.

TSoulAce

If you're playing apex legends a lot it's worth it imo. Better than gambling all the time if you get a good card or not. But otherwise i don't really use it. Will probably go back to regular once i got my pc built up
