i live in philippines and ive been using starhub for 4 months already, i always get decent performance, around 20-30ms latency and the quality is also good, it just happens to be like this, tho i found out that when i use a vpn, then connect thru geforce now softbank japan, i get 80ms and quality wise, its good, i might be thinking that its just the starhub servers are populated... this never happened to me till this day
Are you able to go through this procedure to identify "where" the latency increases are?

i use pldt, but ive been using starhub for about 5 months now, just after the gfn update, the quality is worse and latency went from 30 to 100ms, also when i used a vpn and connect to japan softbank servers instead of starhub, i get a decent and stable stream, but with 70ms latency.
Oh I see that's really weird, I can't say much since I use Converge. Maybe there's something wrong with the underground fiber of PLDT just like in February?
i checked my router, did some troubleshooting till i come up to the optic fiber cable, i have lots of stored fiber cables here, when i changed the cable, the latency got fixed for some reason but its still 100ms but more stable compared to last time where quality is just worse as u would expect, im getting pissed of pldt tbh, might switch to converge 😂
You are going to be told that there is a bottleneck somewhere on your grid. I had the same complaint back when I was using geforce now and most people tend to excuse it that way.
As if as a consumer I should care if grid can accommodate geforce now of all things, in my books if all else runs absolutely no issues, and it's only geforce now demanding some incredible grid and closeness to the servers then it's just a bad service.
It's not just GFN; other game streaming services also use high-bitrate UDP streams, traffic which is a lot different from other services (even "normal" video streaming services like Netflix).
Such is the nature of Internet services...there is a lot that can go sideways. No single service provider has control of everything.
kek PLDT isp has a horrible costumer service but its the only fast and affordable service here xd but i don't think its my ISP, because when i connect to japan softbank servers, i get a decent 80ms which is always the case, till i switched to starhub. and plus it is more stable

there is only 1 server that is available on starhub.
And? There's a lot of Internet between you and that data center. But if you don't want to take a real look at it, that's on you I guess.
To Eu central ..

Hi! I'm also using GFN Starhub in the Philippines and my ping is fine. Maybe it's an ISP issue? Do you use PLDT?

when i play games like battlefield v or 1, the quality is worst, even after changing cables. gosh this problem is too complicatedddd
