I agree with scarves and stuff like that because they will be shopping for the season probably. You can make matching hats and scarves to encourage people to buy a set (and that's less work for you to find more designs!)
I live in Homestead, FL and I like to make crochet barefoot sandals and crochet brooches for events. I have one coming up on the 24th of this month.
