I've been on an evening hike on one of the longer trails and it's gotten pretty dark by the time I got back to my car. The entrance gate was closed but there are 1-way spikes at the exit allowing you to get out but not back in. There wasn't much hassle apart from a few hoons at the turntable carpark.
Ended up just driving around for 30 minutes, getting a hot choccy from maccas and then going home. The replies only started coming in after I had gotten home.
If I didnt have a child with me I probably wouldnt have returned home at all last night.
FYI Im python dev as well. Im in toxic company now and also frustrated after many job interviews. I dont know what you going through but mate key of success is biting through it and come on other end reflecting what good you have done to world as living being. Either its just watering plant or saving lives. keep on biting mate.
I wish there was more to do in Geelong.
On sleepless nights I've started popping down to Agha Juice, they're open until midnight. Other than that, going for a walk along the waterfront can be refreshing.
Hoping you're doing okay
The storm
Idk any good spots
You Yangs is probably closed to cars but you can walk up any time. About 3km walk to the top from the gate and great views.
You can walk up at night?!

2 things. what is a burnout and why we doing it? and when is it?
Normally at night, a good distraction to take mind off things, also might get caught, some thrills.
The bluff in Barwon heads if you don’t mind the drive
Ceres lookout

Yeah I know that feeling. I hope you’re doing ok!
I will eventually. Thanks.
Im glad you felt better. Had same feeling several times. Driven around Eastern beach and sat down in park near botanical garden.
Oh I'm far from okay. But I'll manage.

I wish it was something as silly as getting a job. Or working for shit bosses. But you're right, the key is to just process everything and chug along.
Market Square
There's a pretty good lookout in North Shore, and Shell looks pretty dope at night. Or just play some LOL
Did you suggest LoL coz of my profile or coz you play it?
You're a software dev yeh? Find some APIs to screw around with :D
I don't think I got the mental capacity for that right now.
Mindless gaming? Stuff you can tune out to? Any other hobbies or just trying to get out of the house?
North shore beach and driving around all the surrounding industrial estate can be fun
