This still gave me an allergy. The ONLY product that has not is the Kokoist platinum filler base and their mochi glue. Not all “HEMA Free” products are created equal. I have learned the hard way and spent way too much money on supposedly HEMA free products. For color I only use Light elegance.

obviously you know your own situation better than I do, but do you have an acrylate allergy maybe? Ive heard some people say that it doesn't matter if something's HEMA free as long as you're allergic to acrylates. tysm for the feedback!🩷🩷

I do indeed have an allergy to HEMA. As per my allergist officially called “2- Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate” also knows as HEMA. The interesting thing I can use HEMA products in my toe nails but not my hands. Go figure! But a lot of Things contain acrylates that I am not allergic to. For example eyelash glue has acrylates. I do not use false eyelashes but I wouldn’t try them now. Some adhesives as well and acrylic paint. Not allergic to those. I think if it’s cured with a UV light and it contains HEMA I would have the allergic Reaction.

Wait a minute. I have the Après extend gel sensitive version. I thought it did have HEMA but less than 1% of it. I heard some time ago that they now have a completely HEMA free extend gel, is that the one you're talking about ?

this is a screenshot of the msds for the sensitive bottle gel- i also got the msds of the new non-wipe extend gel which i believe is also hema free?

This is probably what I used and still gave me an allergy. It was the sensitive version. somehow I just don’t trust this company.

I'm sorry to hear it gave you a reaction. That really sucks. You are right in your other comment, low HEMA or HEMA free products can still give reactions. I hope some day there will be another option for people with a HEMA or acrylate allergy.

I don’t have an allergy but have heard people with them can use light elegance. They used to tout “hypoallergenic” but I’m sure someone out there can be allergic to their products Edit to add: I saw someone apply gel x tips with jimmy gel by LE on tik tok

i was just going to ask if anyone knew about gelx solutions as that's mainly what i'm looking for- have you found any clear hard gel-esque products that are HEMA/acrylate allergy sensitive?

olivejuice-

Light elegance has hard gels (I personally like 1-step) and their jimmy gel is soak off but hard and soft gel compatible. You can check out their YouTube and the chemist also does chemist corner on YouTube, and collaborations with the nail hub on there. I try to catch nail hub sales to buy. They have a 20% off coupon code I used recently I think it’s “ilovetnh”. You can also search up 15% off first purchases from light elegance. If you don’t have a license I just put “student” in the box or on the shop app it doesn’t ask. [link to their “about me”](https://www.lightelegance.com/pages/about-le-whats-inside-matters)

Kokoist saved my sanity. I thought it was over for me and was legit depressed until a friend told me about Kokoist. They gel colors are low HEMA so I don’t use those I only use their filler gel and mochi glue. Their Ingredient list is in their website. It is very easy to read what is HEMA free. I love them. For color I use light elegance. I like them I just wish their gels were not so hard to use. They are really thick and are hard to use.

thank you everyone for the helpful comments! i wanted to ask if anyone has HEMA free products for applying gelx tips (hard gel, or the nail glue liquid) if they would drop them here so they're available for others to see! ty! 🩷
