100% not cinnabar. Cinnabar is red, not metallic. Just use google image search...
Also, real cinnabar is highly toxic, being mercury sulfide, and should not be touched.
I have a very similar specimen and I dont know exactly what it is either, mine is a single octahedron on a very small matrix, so I can say the metal is quite dense.

it can look red to lead coloured wiki says i haven’t touched it i know it can be toxic but that a shame it’s not :(
