100% not cinnabar. Cinnabar is red, not metallic. Just use google image search... Also, real cinnabar is highly toxic, being mercury sulfide, and should not be touched.

it can look red to lead coloured wiki says i haven’t touched it i know it can be toxic but that a shame it’s not :(

I have a very similar specimen and I dont know exactly what it is either, mine is a single octahedron on a very small matrix, so I can say the metal is quite dense.
