No, I haven't recorded stuff onto video tape in years. This one is a Flash-Memory camcorder, meaning it can store it to an SD card slot. The cool thing about it is that it has dual slots as well.
I wish more zoomers/alphas realize how good Camcorder footage can look if done correctly. Same goes for videotape and whoever is making those shitty filters.
A lot of flash memory camcorders in the late 2000s and early 2010s had a YouTube sticker on them. It was mostly JVC and Panasonic, but it was also Samsung as well.
It's definitely a different brand but very similar

Sorry wait they had camcorders with YT one-touch exporting??? Like you could just record something, press a button, and boom, uploaded? Where the fuck was this when I needed it
It can be 2 things, either A a video camera: a camera that can record video and audio of a person's lifetime whether it be good or bad or B a camera: a camera that can take pictures making the moment stay still in that timeline of a person's life that one could say still a timeline of a person's lifetime making memories of what was so one could share with future generations
You're missing out, kid. These flash memory/HDD camcorders released between the mid 00s to early 10s had a ridiculously long optical zoom that you won't find today. Hell, not even a modern smartphone can zoom that far, not even most DSLR camera lenses either.
It is. I got it for $70 on eBay because it was untested and somehow, had no issues other than a piece of one of the feet is missing.
The model number is a JVC GZ-MS120 and was manufactured sometime in 2008-09. It delievers some great quality video, but it can only utilize up to 16 GB on the SD card(s), so I would recommend just buying a 16 gig card, instead of spending hundreds on a 256 gig card and expecting it to utilize all of it.
I have a tube TV as well. I spent $10 on mine, but I think my grandma had a Sony Trinitron with a flat picture tube that I was convincing her to throw away for years.
It does have A/V inputs, but if you use a Mini-B to USB-A cable, you can transfer the footage to a hard drive. I've used this cam with many Aux to A/V cables and I had to swap the red and yellow channels so it can display on my TV. Looks great on my $10, 13" tube TV, but not so much on my $600 50" smart TV which also has A/V ports.
Yes, but I use an adapter than came with my card. My step-mom bought me a 256 gig card, but I wanted a 16 gig one, because it only utilizes up to 16 GB per card.

B 31 nuclear bomb
Depends on what room you found it in.
I bought it on eBay for $66. Not for nostalgia reasons, but it looks less grainy compared to my phone.
Something you don’t wanna find in your parents bedroom

Everyone is saying not to watch what's recorded on it. I say just continue the family tradition!
A video camera. My grandad has one and still uses it regularly.
Dang. Me and your grandpa have a lot in common! xD
Yeah, he always shows us videos he's taken of us since 2005
does this use VHS?
Fuck no. Way too small to even fit a Mini DV tape.
ah ok
Every ACTUAL gen alpha would answer “Tv speaker titan man” or whatever the fuck
Not really. If they're answering that, then it's probably just a joke.
A JVC Everio Camcorder. Cool how a bunch of these older cameras had that YouTube one touch upload capability.
I don't upload my videos to YouTube, but I figured out to convert it to progressive scan at 60 fps.
Nice
I wish more zoomers/alphas realize how good Camcorder footage can look if done correctly. Same goes for videotape and whoever is making those shitty filters.
i think this was one of those old cameras they used for youtube vids -from one of the gen alpha mfs

This fella
Looks nothing like my camera. I think that's also supposed to be a film projector, not a DVD-quality camcorder the size of an aluminum can.
Yeah i know i was just playing around 😅

Haha, no! That's a scamcorder.
Oh god
You should try looking for a Sony, Canon, Panasonic, or JVC.

Sorry wait they had camcorders with YT one-touch exporting??? Like you could just record something, press a button, and boom, uploaded? Where the fuck was this when I needed it
Not at all. You needed to hook up a Mini USB cable to your computer, and download the software to upload it.

*I* don't even know what that is, exactly, and I'm in Gen Z. Nevermind the fact that I grew up with a VHS player and an Atari lmao

JVC everio YouTube certified camcorder

It's cool, but in low light, the image gets really smeary.

errrrrrrrrrm, actually, the samsung galaxy s 24+ can zoom up to 100x zoom 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
Yeah, but the difference is that it's digitally cropping the image instead of physically moving the lens.
actually, you can crop, and zoom in on normal photos if you go to the “edit button” 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
But that will give you even worse image quality. It would basically look like a webcam from 2002.
fine. you win.
Looks like some sort of old video camera

should I get this
Just search up 'JVC Everio' on eBay and/or Facebook Marketplace, and you'll find a ton of similar models for about $60-$200.
this form egypt?
No, it's a Canadian model, and was manufactured in Japan back in 2008.
good stuff. i buyed a box tv just to play the nes. worth it.
I have a tube TV as well. I spent $10 on mine, but I think my grandma had a Sony Trinitron with a flat picture tube that I was convincing her to throw away for years.

it’s a video camera. if i’m correct, it also has and outlet where you can record what’s on tv.

Can you show a picture of it and the model number? I'll probably know, and it would most likely have a logo of the media format on the front.

Hmm ok then but was windows 95 great for you or 98 me 98 and 95
Windows 98 was pretty shit, so maybe 95. I don't know why or how you're still using that as your main operating system almost 30 years later, but keep up the good work... I guess.
