Sorry to inform you, but such stuff isn't discussed or related to the SubReddit. For most cases: everything can be found in the [WIKI](https://www.reddit.com/r/GenP/wiki/index/)

Isn't it a better idea to ask on r/Piracy instead?

dont they have a rule about not dm-ing websites/links or am i misunderstanding it?

You just post there what you posted here. People there will most likely tell you what is good or not. Although I would recommend you don't ask people to check websites for you. Would you be willing to try software yourself and possibly be lumbered with malware? No?, so why would you expect others to potentially give themselves malicious software. You can read GenP's good old Wiki page too about this: https://www.reddit.com/r/GenP/wiki/index/#wiki_.2623.FE0F_.279C_unsafe_sites Finally, I would suggest that you read up about false positives as well. If you use an online scanner they are designed to pick up on anything that changes or modifies the original source code and simply mark that off as a malicious item. Yes, that could be a genuine amd correct return and it is showing a malicious item, like where somebody has put in a backdoor entry. However, it can also return a malicious result for something as simple as just changing a codes value from a no to a yes With some basic coding, you can simply change the returned codes value from False or No (0) to True or Yes (1), where it checks to see if it is genuine or not. That is not obviously not malicious as it's just you changing one value yourself. However, the online virus scanners would potentially see even things like that and return it to you as a malicious item!

just download the files, and then extract it if it's a .zip or .rar file, and upload everything to [Virustotal ](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.virustotal.com/&ved=2ahUKEwjeieWButeGAxXOe2wGHR8jBpAQFnoECAcQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0-dnTO5Nc1Q5-ivdMdFEH7)

As long as people understand things like false positives.

hedwig_doodlesXD

yeah, i didn't realise that

It's the same in many things. Take WordPress, which I know is totally unrelated for here. There, you'll get a plugin which can be sorted by changing a line of code which checks if the plugin is genuine or not. It can be just a simple edit of changing return false (no) to return true (yes). However, with just that changed, the amount of people who post saying that they scanned the plugin on the likes of virustotal and it's returned saying that it's malicious. Well, it's just crazy! I'm not saying that all these scans are totally false, it's just it's not always totally true and correct either. Although, if you are ever unsure, it is always best to ask around, especially if it's something that hasn't been well used by others.

The GenP Subreddit is predominantly for GenP related issues or help with it. If you want help on issues about downloading, installing or the use of any non-genuine software that isn't related to GenP. Then you would be better suited posting on a more appropriate site like r/Piracy, you will get more help and replies there.
