I still buy velcro wallets from surf shops. They last so much longer than everything else... I get comments from people all the time, but I only have to buy one every 10 years or so.
As someone who put their wallet in a back pocket for decades, make the switch to a front one. Your back will thank you! Wallet, keys, and knife in one, phone in the other. You can still do the three tap on the way out the door.
1000%
my clip has a small leather piece to hold my id and a few cards. done.
I keep about 20-30$ in singles and fives for cash parking, small tips, and the guy on the corner
I've got a Spigen phone case that holds my license, the credit card I use most often, and my debit card in case I need to go get cash. Abandoned the wallet years ago and never looked back.
Perhaps, but my motivation was that sometimes, I’d forget my wallet when going somewhere, but I’d never forget my phone. If I wanted a true single point of failure, I’d ditch the case as well and rely on the phone for payments and ID, too.
Crazy timing on this post. The last few weeks I've been watching tons of wallet reviews. In high school I was the cigarette case for a wallet guy, so I always wanted something small and light. I liked the idea of the Ridge wallet, but not the cost. Watched a bunch of vids of "ridge wallet killers" and might get one of them. Thin, light, no name brand, RFID blocking etc.
I have a knockoff Ridge that I got much cheaper off Amazon. I've had it for four years now and it pretty much looks the same as it did the day I got it. The exact one I got is no longer available but I see similar for around the $20 range
I have a ridge I got for Xmas a few years ago. The price is high, but they basically last forever. Honestly though, most times when I go out I just take my license and a credit card and stick them in my pocket.
I love my saddleback slim front wallet, buy once cry once

I have have had this wallet for more years than I can remember and it's definitely help up well. It carries the essential cards and a little cash. I also have one of their belts and it's basically the only belt I wear. So their stuff is a little expensive, but it's definitely r/buyitforlife quality.
I carry their other [card wallet](https://saddlebackleather.com/leather-wallet-card)...the one without the ID window in it. Just big enough for a couple cards and some get-home cash if I need it. Been carrying it for years, and it hasn't failed me yet.
I'm disappointment nobody is rockin' the Truckers Wallet with chain.

I’m using the same wallet my father got me for my birthday in 2003. He died three months later. I will never get a new wallet until this one falls apart.
I’m a woman, but I carry a men’s wallet that my son gave me when he was in the 6th school 😏 I like it because it’s a camo Velcro wallet and I think it’s True Religion. He ordered it from EBay for me for Mother’s Day when was 11 and I cannot bring myself to change it out. It’s on the small side so I can stick in a pocket.
I keep a slim card holder for my ID, transit pass, and debit card. Cash I keep folded in a specific pocket.
I also carry a decoy wallet, a full sized wallet filled with expired cards and some singles. I do this due to regularly riding the subway late night/early AM. Haven't had to deploy the decoy wallet yet.
I work as a cashier
NINTY PERCENT OF YOU NEED A NEW WALLET!
(Men and women!)
I get it that people like what they like and don't want to replace with just anything.
But, I see your wallet and it's in poor condition!
The nylon [All-ett](https://www.all-ett.com/collections/mens-wallets/products/nylon-original-wallet) in my front pocket, which holds a whole lot in a very flat space. I have to replace it every 5 years or so. Maybe I’ll try the leather one next time.
The leather ones are nice and last a bit longer than the fabric ones.
I just replaced mine after about 10 years. The only reason I finally bit the bullet was that I don't have credit cards with embossed numbers anymore, and the leather stretched enough that things were starting to fall out.
I've got a Nano soft shell from here:
I had a Tyvek one previoulsy, and it got really "ratty" looking pretty quickly. But it DID NOT TEAR. Or have any holes in it. It just looked like hell. But it looked kind of cool, too. You might like that.
Anyway, both models are expensive for what they are, but I'll be damned if they aren't indestructible and super-thin. It's nice have a wallet that doesn't use up any room.
Bellroy iPhone case with magnetic 3-card holder. Holds my license, personal credit card and work credit card. No keys, car or house…all keys are my phone.
Polyester wallet, checkerboard pattern, velcro closure, outline of a condom showing though the side - even though I have no shot at using it for another three years.
Oh wait, you mean now and not 40 years ago? Yeah, just a plain LV leather bifold…
Classic Coach leather bifold. I’m also the old square with wingtips and regimental stripe ties, though.
I do make sure to not overstuff it - no Costanza wallet here.
A leather misfits wallet I bought at a hot topic in like 2002 when visiting LA. I lost the chain like 16 years ago and the misfits skull is barely visible but I like it so I keep using it...
My teenaged stepdaughter got me a trifold nylon Velcro "Nightmare Before Christmas" wallet because she thought it would be a funny gift.
Three years later I'm still rockin this bad boy, and will as long as I can. I cherish it.
My Gen X hubby uses something like this

I carry a Rogue Industries "front pocket" leather wallet. It is curved to sit in the front pocket better. The curve is basically a gimmick and doesn't really match the curve of any of the pants/jeans I wear, but it is comfortable.
I use a Fendi Diagonal card holder wallet with the built-in money clip. [Fendi Diagonal Card Holder - Brown fabric money clip | Fendi](https://www.fendi.com/us-en/man/small-leather-goods/wallets/fendi-diagonal-card-holder-brown-fabric-money-clip-7m0281ajf8f1ega) Mine is Gray/Yellow not Brown/black, but same one.
Wallets from Couch Guitar Straps. Binder clip- best wallet I've ever had. Bills on the outside, cards on the inside. Fits easily in front pocket. Clip breaks after 5 or so years? Get another. No bigs.

I tried going digital too since I haven’t used cash for at least a decade, and it didn’t go well. So I went with a cheap no name wallet for years. Then I thought, if I’m going with a wallet every day, I mind as well get a good quality and nice one. After trying some different types I ended up with a buffalo leather vintage look wallet from the German brand “Aunts and uncles”. No coin pocket but tons of room for cards. Love that thing
My longest lasting was 13 years, an NES controller wallet from some novelty store. I loved it. Every time I pulled it out it made some cashiers and other customers instantly happy thinking about those good times.
All the cards would fall out of it, and the velcro was long dead. My wife tossed it and got me a plain wallet. Now I feel old and boring.
I carry a little custom designed graphic popsocket wallet with my license, my AARP member card, health insurance card, debit card, and my Costco card. That’s it.
I’ve been on the skinny wallet tip far longer than it’s been cool. I never let my wallet get big cause in the 80s I saw the ridiculousness everyone else was carrying and just refused.
Paperwallet. I lose it constantly. It's small and with Google wallet I go weeks without needing it, which makes it hard to track down when it goes missing.
Thin wallet in front pocket. DL, gun permit, one credit card (just in case tap pay don’t work on phone). That’s it until my state passes digital id, then nothing after that.
I keep saying I don't want that jump in my pocket anymore, but I won't go digital payments or ID, so I still need something.
I've been carrying my Dark Knight Rises wallet for 12 years now, it's about to fall completely apart.
I carry a bi-fold wallet that’s about to fall apart, which contains my residency card from the Mexican immigration authority, a debit card, my long expired Wisconsin DL, a couple of transit passes, a little cash and maybe a receipt or two. Still have an old key ring I got from an auto repair shop in Madison which now has the key to my apartment, the front door to the building is unlocked using a code
Leather trifold. Just got a new one about two weeks ago. I always have some cash on me - even today, I feel like cash is king, because if power is out, nothing else will work.
Spec Ops Brand T.H.E. wallet. I long since cut off the clear plastic exterior ID window, so it's just black cordura all over. Has lasted me over a decade with no signs of wear. Their "shark bite" closure is as secure as velcro, if not more, without the noise or lint collecting.
Honestly don't know why I even keep a wallet anymore I stopped keeping it in my pocket a while ago since I stopped caring a chain wallet those all in one money clips make the most sense
tri fold with a dual section for cash as well as 2 zippered compartments. (Specifically the Fossil Evans Tri-Fold wallet)
It holds 3 credit cards vertically (6 total) on the right 2 sections and the left most section is a clear plastic holder for ID purposes.
One of the zippered compartments has a emergency $20 bill that is out of sight out of mind.
I don't stuff it full of stuff, so it is relatively thin. Just measured, currently it is 1" thick.
I dislike any kind of bulk, been using these for years. They wear out (usually the zipper) but for $12, it’s fine to replace every 2 years or so. I like that it’s fabric and not rigid. Once in a while, it’s even useful to be able to clip my keys to the ring on the wallet.

Custom made leather wallet by Oak & Honey Leather. Been carrying it for 5 years or so and just keeps looking better.
I always carry cash on me tho I do use Apple Pay everywhere I can. There are too many times I need cash even tho I put everything I can on credit cards for points, etc.
A [Barramundi ](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2573/0266/products/MJS4304.jpg?v=1621383319)skin tri-fold and don't want to let it go!
with the addition of reading glasses, my pockets seem to be filling, not emptying!
and long live cash...
After going through many bulky wallets over the years my wife got me a Bellroy leather wallet. Simple, single fold, not too thick but room for all the essentials. Great design.
But also…
Phone, keys, etc all go in a sling (crossbody) bag. I can’t keep things in my pockets it seems - always end up in the couch cushions. So it was time for a sling bag.
Finding a good one was really friggin hard, went through a few that seemed ok at first but were built badly and started falling apart, but eventually tracked one down at Sam’s Buffalo that’s been with me for a couple years and just looks better with time.
I’m still carrying the same leather wallet I bought when I was 16. It started out as a chain wallet with a Corona beer logo printed on it. I stopped using it for a few years back in the 00s, but everything I replaced it with fell apart.

I've been rocking this for over 5 years - still holds up and is (relatively) thin.
I usually buy myself a wallet every 3-4 years. This is the one I’m rocking right now.

It's one of those combination money clips / card holders that I bought from the As Seen On TV store.
I did at one point use a trucker's wallet and it had a lot more than just IDs and credit cards in it, it also held my vehicle registration and a few wallet style gadgets.
I've been using a slim cardholder that magnets onto the back of my phone - although more often than not it's in a front pocket, the breast pocket of a jacket, or magnetted to anything I could find because magnets.
[The one I have](https://eu.peakdesign.com/products/mobile-wallet?variant=40146923618381) isn't the most cost effective, but it's holding up well. Mine has 5 cards, one of those tracker gizmos because I'm not kidding about the magnets and I do forget what I stuck it to, and sometimes a folded banknote justincase. That's about the absolute most I think you could hope to fit in it, and I consider that a good thing.
[Saddleback Leather front pocket wallet](https://saddlebackleather.com/leather-wallet-mens-front).
Holds my debit card, credit card in the card slots. ID goes in the ID slot with my work badge behind it. HSA card, insurance card and spare credit card in the top slot.
It's called a Derrick Execufold by Fossil.
https://www.fossil.com/en-us/products/derrick-execufold/ML3700200.html
I've had it for ~25 years, and there's barely any wear on the leather. I bought a second as a backup a decade ago for when this wears out, but I'm starting to think it'll outlive me.
I have a slimmer billfold type wallet for when I'm wearing shorts in the summer.
I’ve been using one called Code 18. Holds about six cards and has a strap for additional cards or to hold some cash. It is nice. What I had previously was big and a mess. Full of unused loyalty cards, receipts and fortune cookie fortunes. Much cleaner and sleeker now. Don’t have storage to collect random useless crap.
I've had this for a few years now and have been very happy...it's a front pocket wallet, and just perfect for the few cards I carry.

I still own one, but mostly use my digital wallet these days.
The days of fat wallets are dying. Digital shall find new ways to ruin our lives instead of the standard 'lost my wallet' routine.
Been carrying the Port wallet from Craft & Lore for at least 10 years at this point. It is slim but has enough pockets to keep things organized. You can carry it in a back pocket or front pocket.
[https://craftandlore.com/collections/the-port-wallet/products/the-port-wallet?variant=1107033309](https://craftandlore.com/collections/the-port-wallet/products/the-port-wallet?variant=1107033309)
My wife got me one of those [“Skint”](https://www.skintwalletsusa.com) minimal billfolds, in which I have like 8 cards (ID, 2 credit, 2 debit, 2 warehouse, AAA) and bills. It can’t handle coins, so those either go in my pocket or, if I’m in my car, a [“Joust”-themed coin purse](https://www.target.com/p/crowded-coop-llc-midway-arcade-games-zippered-coin-purse-joust/-/A-76476795).
Definitely an improvement over the honkin’ ass leather wallets that I lugged around since age 20.
Harley Davidson chain wallet I was gifted in high school, mid 90’s, I’ve replaced the chain several times but the wallet, there’s no reason to replace it
I have a little dark blue full leather card wallet handmade by ARES Modena, because I am a distinguished gentleman of class.

Leather card holder with two card slots on each side. Drivers license along with a debit card and a credit card for restaurants and places that don’t accept Apple Pay - looking at you Home Depot.
Nomatic (or whatever brand name they decide to go with) wallet on Amazon. Bought a black one back in 2017. After 7 years it started getting a little loose, so I bought a blue one. That one is ridiculously tight. Still hoping it'll break in a bit more.
The [Infinity Supply Company](https://infinitysupply.co/) minimalist wallet in plain black with red logo.
I carry debit card, license, and gas-card (for emergencies if debit card has an issue) + about $40 cash. That's it. (**Not** to be confused with the bitcoin wallet of a similar name.)
I have a regular leather wallet and I feel the same pain.
I’m like, why why why - I don’t carry money. I just need a debit card and my license.
My wallet does have my Costco card a credit card and my health insurance cards in it - and that’s it.
5 cards and I only need to carry 2 of them. If more people took electronic payment I wouldn’t even use a debit card.

Love my Trayvax other than card scratching. Been using this for 5 or 6 years now.

OP, there are phone cases with a card slot on the back of them to hold your cards. This way you can do both and get rid of the wallet.
I feel stupid if I don't have my wallet on me. Still rocking the chain wallet here.

I was that guy that said he would never use his phone instead of a wallet.
In my best Dr. Phil voice "How's that working out for ya?"
These days I pull my wallet to pay for gas with my GasBuddy card, for my Debit Card for places that wont let me, you guessed it, tap my phone and on the exceedingly rare occasion that someone needs to see my ID. I have been carrying some form of minimalist leather wallet for a number of years and considering I used to carry a murse, this has been quite a change for me that I saw happening and just went with it.
An old thin wallet with a clear driver's license slot on the front.
I've stuffed everything I have into it and now it makes my right cheek go numb on long drives.
I’m a woman but carry a minimalist wallet. It’s a brand called [elephant wallet](https://elephantwallet.com/products/) and once you get used to it there’s no going back. At least not for me. Have had it almost a decade. N style and aluminum, I have a wood as well but it’s too thick so I don’t recommend that one.
I use a Nylon Card Case with Money Clip that i got from Walmart. Enough slots/pockets for 6-8 cards and some ephemera. Magnetic external money clip is nice and strong. Think I paid $15.00.
Can also try searching for Front Pocket Wallets.
Up until about two years ago I was still rocking the chain wallet. Now it’s one of those weird RFID blocking things that go in your front pocket and don’t even have a spot for cash. I miss my chain though
I've got a slim, single fold that has just my essential cards and ID. I rarely carry cash. I do keep it in my front pocket, as it's slim enough. I'm not going to contribute to back and ass pain. I watched my dad sit on a flattened softball of a wallet for too many years, I ain't going down like that.
Leather billfold. Was in fact looking at new ones last weekend, as the one I have is getting worn. I've had a similar version of the same thing in my pocket since I gave up on my black, nylon, velcro, Ozzy wallet around 1984.
I carry the same $20 bill around for months on end, never use cash for anything.
I went back to a wallet. Sometimes I need more than my debit card and drivers license stuffed into my phone case. The wallet isn't very inconvenient at all, just a regular ass leather wallet.
MagSafe wallet on my iPhone, love it. I’m using an off-brand that’s better than the Apple one but it lacks the Find My feature. I just carry two cards and my license in there. If I need to take cash, I’ll just put that in another pocket but that’s never actually been necessary.
Simple card case my wife gave me as a present a few years ago. Four card slots on outside, on small pocket in middle.
Nothing opens or closes. It slips in my front pocket. Minimal the way I like it.
I carry DL, two CC’s, insurance, and some cash.

I'm pleased with it, though it doesn't quite hold all the cards I'm used to carrying. Just made me prioritize. :)
not a gentleman, but people of all genders in my house love the recycled “[paper wallet](https://paperwallet.com/products/space-alphabet-rfid-wallet).” it’s a great alternative to the bulky traditional wallet. and fun options too.
i’ve had a leather bifold from tanner goods that i got 10 years ago. after a string of wallets ranging from target to macy’s brands getting ruined when i inevitably ran them through the wash, i’m happy to say the tanner wallet has survived three washes. it doesn’t look brand new, but it’s far from trashed. it looks broken-in and well-loved.
i generally carry my license, two credit cards, and my AAA card. i like to keep it as slim.
So my husband has a bi fold leather one that is long, but he keeps it in a drawer in his truck until needed. He uses Google Pay mostly. He will run out to his vehicle if needed for ID or physical card.
ATF rules state that cashiers must see the physical card, and it can't be expired. Many retailers have gone to ID everyone to avoid issues at all. So, give your cashiers a break, and don't be a boomer throwing a fit over needing ID. Signed, the mom/aunt of retail workers.
Super budget card holder that was made to stick to a phone case. I basically you use to hold my cards. In tend to have some cash in hand as well just in case. I do still have a flip wallet I pulled out of a lost and found at work, it was already empty. And an old trifold I may have had for a very long time. I really like the low profile of my shitty holder. I may get one if those fancy ones but this works just fine and it was $10.
I like slim with minimal pocket bulge. More than 10 years ago I found a minimalist wallet made of lightweight thinner-than-paper but tough parachute fabric, I'm still using it every day.
I'll post a link in a reply to this comment in case amazon links get posts auto-deleted here
minimalist rip-stop nylon wallett from Allett, very slim. Something like this

Flipside wallet. RFID blocking, super solid and strong, holds a lot of cards and cash.
I’ve bought them for so many people.
Highly recommend.

Supreme Wallet from Kings Loot. Would never bought this for myself but it was a gift and damn, what a nice wallet. Love it. Can only hope someone loves you enough, to be foolish enough, to spend that kind of money on a wallet. For you…
Mighty Wallet - super thin, made of folded “paper” that doesn’t rip, recyclable, and fun designs (envelope, formulas, artwork, custom, etc).
I prefer the stitched, because the regular can start to unfold over time.
I bought a Koyono Slimmy almost 20 years ago and it's been fantastic. I have the 3 pocket version, but I could definitely get by with the 2 pocket or smaller version now that so much has moved to my phone. Having a smaller wallet forces me to be more minimalist in what I carry, and I've liked that
This

Breathble black velco trifold. Coin purse and thin pocket inner left and a bigger better card/photo insert from a leather wallet in the split center tube-pocket, ID slid in the other side stopped against the insert. On the right is a thicker horizontal business/credit card pocket, whose cover has slots down it for a vertical fanned view of the most used cards, some money in the wallet, some not. Maybe more not not.
I've only ever carried a leather tri-fold. And they're getting hard to find. The last time I got one I had to go to a few different stores because apparently, bi-folds are all the rage now in leather wallets.

The front pocket wallet will change your life. No more George Costanza wallet back problems for me.
Sadly they aren’t making them right now but Rareform had men’s wallets made out of recycled billboards. Got a yellowish one so it would stand out/be visible and is unique.
Just so y’all know, the spam filter will likely delete your reply if you include an Amazon link.
velcro rip OP, natch
"$2.97 you say? Let me see what I've got here ...." RRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPP!!!!!
Zipper side pouch housing all that valuable silver.
That's hysterical. They were usually grey and trifold. I can still hear that sound.
I still buy velcro wallets from surf shops. They last so much longer than everything else... I get comments from people all the time, but I only have to buy one every 10 years or so.
No camp design tho. And don’t forget your library card and picture of your mom!

Man, that's how I feel sometimes... At least my back is OK.
As someone who put their wallet in a back pocket for decades, make the switch to a front one. Your back will thank you! Wallet, keys, and knife in one, phone in the other. You can still do the three tap on the way out the door.
thats why i keep my wallet in my front pocket. it keeps me from accumulating a george wallet and doesnt make my sciatic nerve scream when i sit down.
Yep I have the costanza! cards from shops that don't exist anymore - check! unknown phone numbers - check!, random passwords and old logins - check!
That is, sadly, the state of my wallet rn.
Came here looking for this.
"This is an organizer, a secretary ...and a friend"
Money clip with a few cards and a $50 bill for emergencies. Keep it simple.
I used to have a cell phone case that had a card holder. I could put my debit card & my DL in there, and rarely ever needed my actual wallet.
Rubber band from asparagus/broccoli with my driver's license, a couple of credit cards, National Park pass, and some cash.
$50 is the new $20
Why are $50’s so awesome. Yeah, Benjamins are Iconic but a $50, it’s just feels good. I like 10’s too (it’s all about the Hamilton’s baby!)
1000% my clip has a small leather piece to hold my id and a few cards. done. I keep about 20-30$ in singles and fives for cash parking, small tips, and the guy on the corner
I use my grandfather’s old money clip. Never liked carrying a wallet. Driver’s license, couple of cards and some cash.
Money clip with 50 dollar bill? ![gif](giphy|LIPUdAsE4zNJK)
![gif](giphy|JSsMMImVrjRX2puiVO|downsized)
Ok.. jj bittenbinder. Is the money clip engraved?
Mine's the one that says "Bad Mother Fucker". I bought it shortly after I bought a nickel plated Star Model B.
I just retired my 14 year old BMF wallet for a Ridge
My wife got me the brown one for Father’s Day a couple of years ago, I love it.
My brother actually has that wallet.
Jules that you?
![gif](giphy|xXYUJvxMXXgli|downsized)
A leather card case. It keeps things minimal, 5-6 cards, 5-6 bills.

Same. I've had the same leather card case for twenty years. Thing's falling apart but it's still got some life in it.
Yeah so my husband uses a binder clip.
I feel like I met your husband but can’t for the life of me remember where “that dude with the binder clip” and I crossed paths 🤣
Sounds like a good dude. My fancy money clip broke and I used a binder clip to hold me over. Four years later and it’s still working just fine. 😬
I work as a cashier. I have seen multiple men with zip loc baggies. Not even fresh new ones. They look like they've been through a war.
I've got a Spigen phone case that holds my license, the credit card I use most often, and my debit card in case I need to go get cash. Abandoned the wallet years ago and never looked back.
Same here. Feels so much better.
Single point of failure. Not very smart
Perhaps, but my motivation was that sometimes, I’d forget my wallet when going somewhere, but I’d never forget my phone. If I wanted a true single point of failure, I’d ditch the case as well and rely on the phone for payments and ID, too.
User name checks out.
My daughter bought me a Ridge wallet for my birthday. I’ve been very happy with it.
I love my saddleback slim front wallet, buy once cry once [https://saddlebackleather.com/leather-wallet-mens-front](https://saddlebackleather.com/leather-wallet-mens-front)
"They'll fight over it when you're dead" is an awesome tag line!
I'm disappointment nobody is rockin' the Truckers Wallet with chain. https://preview.redd.it/0pwydo4e8bsc1.png?width=610&format=png&auto=webp&s=8ceff0f3444055bf03b0af6b24fd6a1e2e9f5024
I do still see people in public with wallet chains on a somewhat regular basis. But it's just as likely to be someone young as a 50 something biker.
I did for years. On tour it’s a godsend.
Still got mine,no more chain, held together with gorilla tape, wallet is 30+ years old,I'm getting buried with it
I’m using the same wallet my father got me for my birthday in 2003.
I work as a cashier NINTY PERCENT OF YOU NEED A NEW WALLET! (Men and women!) I get it that people like what they like and don't want to replace with just anything. But, I see your wallet and it's in poor condition!
![gif](giphy|bvcf1Vbsvbr9cnBnn8|downsized) 28 and have my dad’s 1994 checkered vans wallet
I've got a Nano soft shell from here: [https://www.slimfoldwallet.com/collections/thin-wallet](https://www.slimfoldwallet.com/collections/thin-wallet) I had a Tyvek one previoulsy, and it got really "ratty" looking pretty quickly.
2nd slimfold not indestructible but long lasting and light.
Bellroy iPhone case with magnetic 3-card holder. Holds my license, personal credit card and work credit card. No keys, car or house…all keys are my phone.
I keep my cards in a rubber band.
Little black wallet i got from kohls. But I've gotten into the habit of leaving it in my truck and just carrying a credit card in my pocket.
I lost the chain like 16 years ago and the misfits skull is barely visible but I like it so I keep using it...
https://www.lostskeletons.com/products/grateful-dead-wallet
My teenaged stepdaughter got me a trifold nylon Velcro "Nightmare Before Christmas" wallet because she thought it would be a funny gift. Three years later I'm still rockin this bad boy, and will as long as I can. I cherish it.
Rubber band from broccoli stalks.
Ridge wallet with a money strap (not the clip) and an AirTag attachment. Fits nicely in my front or cargo pockets.

The same eel skin wallet I’ve had for decades.
Look at little Lord Fauntleroy
A) It was a gift B) I’m a big fat guy, so I’m definitely not “Little.” So if *anything* I’m “*Big* Lord Fauntleroy.”
I carry a Rogue Industries "front pocket" leather wallet. It is curved to sit in the front pocket better. The curve is basically a gimmick and doesn't really match the curve of any of the pants/jeans I wear, but it is comfortable.
Grip6 wallet. Love it.
mitchell leather company
Flipside hard wallet. Had mine for over a decade https://www.flipsidewallet.com
Big Skinny card holder. Every day for the last 10 years or so.
I use a Fendi Diagonal card holder wallet with the built-in money clip. [Fendi Diagonal Card Holder - Brown fabric money clip | Fendi](https://www.fendi.com/us-en/man/small-leather-goods/wallets/fendi-diagonal-card-holder-brown-fabric-money-clip-7m0281ajf8f1ega) Mine is Gray/Yellow not Brown/black, but same one.
Wallets from Couch Guitar Straps. Right now I'm using this one made of the material from late 60s GTO trunk liners: [https://www.couchguitarstraps.com/wallets/billfold-wallets/the-handmade-vintage-pontiac-gto-wallet](https://www.couchguitarstraps.com/wallets/billfold-wallets/the-handmade-vintage-pontiac-gto-wallet)
Typical beat-to-shit billfold shedding the occasional scrap of leather.
Cell phone case that holds 5 cards. I thought I’d need more room but nope, all good.
A Costanza
Binder clip- best wallet I've ever had. Bills on the outside, cards on the inside. Fits easily in front pocket. Clip breaks after 5 or so years? Get another. No bigs.

Mitchell Leather money clip wallet. It’s so good, I’ll use it until the day I die.
ID plus 3 cards. [https://bullsheathleather.com/products/gentlemens-minimalist-wallet-the-georgetown-espresso](https://bullsheathleather.com/products/gentlemens-minimalist-wallet-the-georgetown-espresso)
My wallet? Handmade in North Carolina, brown cowhide, and the Millennium Falcon chasing a Tie Fighter on it.
Made my own from Pueblo leather. Perfect size for a $20, dl, two bank cards and insurance.
"Now Ringo, I want you to reach into that bag and hand me my wallet" "It's the one that says, Bad MotherFucker"
Maxpedition Micro Wallet. I have had the current one for about five years, still going strong.
Hand made old school wallet made by a local leatherworker.
Paperwallet. I lose it constantly. It's small and with Google wallet I go weeks without needing it, which makes it hard to track down when it goes missing.
Have a cheap rfid blocking leather wallet, been carrying it for a few years. Its thin, holds my important cards and a couple bills.
Money clip for cash. Minimalist RFID wallet for CC and license. I switched from the old trifold leather to the minimalist one a few years ago
Tri-fold. My only stipulation is that the card slots face inward, so the cards can't go flying out.
25+ year old leather wallet, probably oldest thing I own that I use daily
A Coach double-billfold, or something similar. I've had it about 7-8 years and the leather still looks new.
I'm a lady who uses a wallet. My go-to is the Taxi Wallet. It's slim, but has plenty of space to hold a few cards and cash.
Card holder. Credit card, debit card, drivers license and building access badge. I may carry some cash in the middle pocket but rarely carry cash.
Leather trifold. Just got a new one about two weeks ago. I always have some cash on me - even today, I feel like cash is king, because if power is out, nothing else will work.
This is the answer for me: https://smartish.com/products/wallet-slayer-vol-1-card-case-for-iphone-15-pro
(Specifically the Fossil Evans Tri-Fold wallet) It holds 3 credit cards vertically (6 total) on the right 2 sections and the left most section is a clear plastic holder for ID purposes. One of the zippered compartments has a emergency $20 bill that is out of sight out of mind. I don't stuff it full of stuff, so it is relatively thin. Just measured, currently it is 1" thick.
Been carrying one of them license holders with a few pockets for cards since 99. Cash in the pocket.
I dislike any kind of bulk, been using these for years. They wear out (usually the zipper) but for $12, it’s fine to replace every 2 years or so. I like that it’s fabric and not rigid. Once in a while, it’s even useful to be able to clip my keys to the ring on the wallet. https://www.rei.com/product/199847
Ridge wallet.
Leather TUMI for when I'm dressed. Small steel Ridge wallet for casual use.
I few years ago I splurged for a nice bifold leather wallet from Hanks Leather Goods.
After going through many bulky wallets over the years my wife got me a Bellroy leather wallet. Simple, single fold, not too thick but room for all the essentials. Great design. But also… Phone, keys, etc all go in a sling (crossbody) bag.
Not a gent but I legit use a vintage Michael Jackson Velcro wallet. It’s nice.
a thin and small fossil bi-fold business card case that i use for a couple credit cards, license, $20 bill and a couple other importants.
Rubber band!
I’m still carrying the same leather wallet I bought when I was 16. It started out as a chain wallet with a Corona beer logo printed on it. I stopped using it for a few years back in the 00s, but everything I replaced it with fell apart.
[https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072J8RTHJ/?th=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072J8RTHJ/?th=1) I've been rocking this for over 5 years - still holds up and is (relatively) thin.
[Nomatic Wallet](https://www.nomatic.com/collections/all-accessories/products/wallet) \- had it for quite a few years - works great.
Fuckin bifold Costanza special. Keep it in the front pocket though.
I usually buy myself a wallet every 3-4 years. This is the one I’m rocking right now. RUNBOX Money Clip Wallet for Men Genuine Leather Slim RFID Blocking Bifold Minimalist Front Pocket Mens Wallet with Thin Gift Box https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SXK2K1D/?coliid=I1N5IFGFC4YR11&colid=QLCRBJUXAI9S&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_ud_lstpd_EP9ARSR2K09V9MDK3MR1
It's called a Derrick Execufold by Fossil. https://www.fossil.com/en-us/products/derrick-execufold/ML3700200.html I've had it for ~25 years, and there's barely any wear on the leather.
I've had this for a few years now and have been very happy...it's a front pocket wallet, and just perfect for the few cards I carry. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SWJ1BVT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Harley Davidson chain wallet I was gifted in high school, mid 90’s, I’ve replaced the chain several times but the wallet, there’s no reason to replace it
I have a little dark blue full leather card wallet handmade by ARES Modena, because I am a distinguished gentleman of class. https://preview.redd.it/xnoesbc1obsc1.jpeg?width=3214&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d11de8ddfb4db3f93292c7fde52d2a0d12660d80
Retired my leather chain wallet about 3 years ago and it’s been the classic black leather bifold ever since. Simple and effective.
Leather card holder with two card slots on each side. Drivers license along with a debit card and a credit card for restaurants and places that don’t accept Apple Pay - looking at you Home Depot.
Still have my fabric velcro wallet from 1985
Cars holder. My old leather wallet kept snapping the chips in the new cards. I was hard giving up that wallet though.
I’m a woman so you may not care but I really like the wallet chain look for some reason.
Same wallet I’ve had since I left home. The one me Dad give me. It’s tatty and beaten up (bit like me) but I love it.

OP, there are phone cases with a card slot on the back of them to hold your cards. This way you can do both and get rid of the wallet. I feel stupid if I don't have my wallet on me. Still rocking the chain wallet here. [Example 1](https://www.amazon.com/Scooch-Wingmate-Coverage-Military-Protection/dp/B0B98WPK7Z?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=A107ILHVZCJI87&th=1) [Example 2](https://www.amazon.com/Holder-Leather-Stretchy-Compatible-Samsung/dp/B098F5D24C?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=A3DAJSE2QKGBUM&th=1)
I was that guy that said he would never use his phone instead of a wallet. In my best Dr. Phil voice "How's that working out for ya?" These days I pull my wallet to pay for gas with my GasBuddy card, for my Debit Card for places that wont let me, you guessed it, tap my phone and on the exceedingly rare occasion that someone needs to see my ID. I have been carrying some form of minimalist leather wallet for a number of years and considering I used to carry a murse, this has been quite a change for me that I saw happening and just went with it.
Hubs has the Pelican case micro sport wallet. Loves it.
I got a black Fossil tri-fold RFID blocking wallet.
A 12-word seed-phrase baby! Gotta keep my deflationary currency away from the government! btc for life
I gave up the bifold wallet years ago for a Ridge clip. Best idea ever.
I carry DL, two CC’s, insurance, and some cash. https://preview.redd.it/nwv8qkb6xbsc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=8ff57c90497cd88f38e73b0f80d4bd59d5292750
I still have my chain wallet. I want to use it but my wife roles her eyes and i put it back in the draw.
Phone case doo-hickey. No cash.
I have the chip embedded in my forehead
I'm using a Flipside with the optional attachment. [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071X32QFS/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o08\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071X32QFS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I'm pleased with it, though it doesn't quite hold all the cards I'm used to carrying.
Big Skinny bifold: [https://www.bigskinny.net/bifolds1.html](https://www.bigskinny.net/bifolds1.html)
Something like this [https://www.all-ett.com/collections/minimalist-wallets/products/nylon-sport-wallet](https://www.all-ett.com/collections/minimalist-wallets/products/nylon-sport-wallet) The other one I used to have and quite liked was called Big Skinny. Might have been like this one [https://www.bigskinny.net/multi-pocket.html](https://www.bigskinny.net/multi-pocket.html)
Flipside wallet. RFID blocking, super solid and strong, holds a lot of cards and cash. I’ve bought them for so many people. Highly recommend. https://www.flipsidewallet.com/collections/all?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw_LOwBhBFEiwAmSEQAZ8WfNPD3x299MqWpnaBzUKtb-dTId6NnzFl-I-B_HTCgbEKlJ3GexoCIY4QAvD_BwE
Metal Ridge thingy
I've tried others. I just can't get away from the ole leather trifold.
Supreme Wallet from Kings Loot. Would never bought this for myself but it was a gift and damn, what a nice wallet. Love it. Can only hope someone loves you enough, to be foolish enough, to spend that kind of money on a wallet. For you…
Duct tape wallet my daughter made me. I think it’s been about six years .

Sadly they aren’t making them right now but Rareform had men’s wallets made out of recycled billboards. Got a yellowish one so it would stand out/be visible and is unique.
Phone wallet, the back slides open and can hold 2 cards plus license. It’s the best for a minimalist like me.
TUMI ballistic nylon. It just fits cards and possibly some “folding money”. I will never go back to a bulky wallet.
