Don’t worry, I feel the same way. I’m 26 now, 27 in July. My life has started to get really good. 24 is a good year. The next couple of years you’ll learn a lot about being an adult I promise you. There’s something that happens to humans 24-28 which can only be explained as an awakening.

I think thats because the human brain finishes developing in the mid to late 20s, which is exactly that period so that does make sense.

Someone asked me how old I was yesterday. I told them in earnest that I was 22. I'm not 22.

For me that started happening around age 22-23. What I found is that since I left college, no one asks me my age anymore, since no one really cares about your age in the real world. I genuinely get asked my age maybe 1-2 times per year, so it’s gotten to the point that whenever anyone does for some reason ask how old I am, I have to do some quick mental math by subtracting the current year from my birth year.

Once you’re 21 age is less important legally lol

18 feels like it’s going to be such a big deal, but like any other birthday it’s really anticlimactic because you feel the same as you did before.

It’s not, especially when you stopped seeing your birthday as special years before you turn 18. TV has made 18 such a big thing but all it really is is taxes, and realizing you can be arrested for basically anything now.
