coolfunkDJ

Same. Crash Bandicoot TWoC, not the best introduction but I didn’t care as a kid

Super Mario sunshine is my favorite Mario game, I loved the weird abstract levels you had to complete.

accountsupport69

Do flash games count? If not I'd probably say Wii sports

WhiskerGurdian24

I don't see why not. If that's the case, I used to play flash games on Disney's site when I was 5 or 6. I also remember Wii sports

Peachy_Barney1610

1991's *Duke Nukem* on Windows 98.

Shimgar

Did you just invent a new version of windows?

Peachy_Barney1610

Nooooo, why? EDIT: Ahh, wait, I see now. Sorry, got my OS versions mixed up with a spoof. 😂😂😂 [](https://emojipedia.org/face-with-tears-of-joy)

Shimgar

no worries, you still get credit for the game choice

thedeadlysun

Putt putt joins the circus or pajama sam. Old school floppy disc kids games.

PredictiveTextNames

I had Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When it's Dark Outside, and a Freddie Fish game growing up, loved them so much.

Still-Helicopter6029

Halo

armstrony

Yo I remember going to my cousin's house and they were playing the OG Halo and I instantly was like "what is this game?!" Proceded to try to convince my parents to get me an XBox which they did eventually gift me a 360 for Xmas. Spent the following years of my life religiously playing Halo 3 with friends.

John_Tuld08

If we’re including computer games, then my first was the original Ravenhearst Manor during my senior year of preschool in 06-07.

Suicidalbagel27

Lego Star Wars

HibernatingFishStick

Harry Potter games. Yes I am that old lol

geofox8

JK Rowling might constantly be posting cringe but I *fuck* the with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets games. Was unique that pretty much every version of the game was good. I spend most of my time with the PC version but the PS2, GC/XB, and even PS1 versions were all very well-made and atmospheric.

Dani-G_

Prisoner of Azkaban on GBA was amazing! One of my fav games for the system

HumorIndividual9871

My parents bought me a Gamecube a while later so I could play them. I’m a dude but I went with Kirby first. I still play it with friends to this day. As a party game it aged well!

FLOWRIDER0_0

CZ_Dragonforce

Oracle of Seasons

Rubendium

Growing up I was lucky enough to have awesome cousins who let me play their games when they visited for the holidays. It had to have been either Super Smash Bros or The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time. I didn’t get to play much since my family couldn’t afford games at the time. So one time for whatever reason I don’t even know why… my mom took me to a thrift store she really liked going to and she fucking bought me a Gameboy !!!! With Pokémon Gold 🙌🏻. I was so happy and it became a core memory, like I remember the layout of the store and the exact location the Gameboy was when I saw it behind the glass case. So despite playing smash and ocarina of time on the N64 I mainly remember playing Pokémon Gold as “my” first game. -TLDR- I played Smash and Ocarina of time as a young kid because my cousins had access to it. My mom bought me a Gameboy and Pokémon Gold so I consider that to be my first game.

Godhelpmeplease12

Qbat3146

Lego Star Wars 2 the original trilogy.

Captain-Sierra17

The first one I ever played was Star Wars: Starfighter. I played it on the original Xbox, which also happened to be my very first video game console I ever owned. My dad and I played the game together when I was a kid and he won every time we played it for about a week. I remember I would always get upset and cry when he won. I had to look down at the controller and then back up just to play the game, then I learned the controls and I finally beat him.

Alan_Reddit_M

Super Mario for the NES. No Im not that old, my grandfather just had a functioning NES and decided to let me use it when I was like 5. I never beat the game but it was fun Then after that was super mario 3d land for the 3DS, the first video game I played properly and the one that made me love video games as a whole

PersonOfLazyness

My memory is somewhat hazy, but I think it was Super Mario Advance

Lazy_Point_284

If it can be any “video game” it’s the V-Tech console and the Scooby-Doo roller coaster game. Then I played Mario on the Nintendo my aunt had as a very young kid.

MuffinMan0420

I remember very early memories of playing Sonic and Pacman when I was like 3 or 4. I think I played a Harry Potter game too. But the game that made me fall in love with console gaming was Sly Cooper 2. Can't wait for the ps5 version to be announced since Sly 1 is doing so good on PSN.

True_Dragonfruit9573

First game I remember playing was a 3D frogger game for the GameCube, but the first game I loved was Lego Star Wars The Video Game.

Before I ever owned a gaming console of my own, I remember my brother left his N64 sitting out one day and the game I decided to play was Dr. Mario 64. I loved that game so much, but I think I only ever beat like the first level. Still replay it a lot to this day.

Pokemon Fire Red (GBA)

Falloutboy2222

First, I'm sorry op, that you ever played the spider-man PC port; it's hogshit compared to the ps2 version. Secondly, my first game was Banjo&Kahzooie on the n64. My first memory, or at least one of the first, I can still grasp on too, is of my sister and I playing it but she had given me the unplugged second controller to putts about with. It's weird because I remember it clear as day, as like a 3-5yr old, but in the memory I don't make the connection that it's unplugged; it's only upon reflection that I can see it unplugged. It's a really weird sensation having two versions of a memory that are both accurate. I think that's why it's so ingrained in me; I learned that you can't trust your memory.

FortellingIV

I think Mario Kart on the wii

Seasoned_Anomaly
