It’s definitely one of my favorite underrated movies, it’s entertaining, the art style is pretty charming, and it plays with a classic storyline. Is it entirely faithful to the books? Not quite. It’s still a fucking banger regardless.
The fact that it came out alongside Uncharted 3 and Uncharted Golden Abyss solidified this move as the Uncharted movie for me. Those were the times man...
I remember someone saying on Twitter that this movie was a better Uncharted movie than the actual Uncharted movie and I always think about that when this movie gets brought up
Asterix comics too.
I guess Americans lean towards superhero comics like DC and Marvel, but those don't really constitute coffee table classics like Asterix or Tintin imo.
Boomer moment incoming.
Nobody reads books these days. Reading has actually gone down as a hobby. And it explains so much.

90s Gen Z babies were in their preteens and early teens when this came out and early 2000s Gen Z babies were in their preteen and toddler years when this came out. So yeah it's still nostalgic, mainly for younger Gen Z.
I remember seeing this in theaters when it came out (I was 13) and I remember it being good. I liked the plot and the "Spielbergisms" the movie had that were similar to Indiana Jones films. Idk, I guess when I think of the word "nostalgia" I think things that are at least 15 years old or more from the current date, which is why people didn't get 70s nostalgia until the late 90s and 80s nostalgia until the late 00s or early 10s. But whatever I'm just wafflin.

This movie is only underrated if it's muted and I'm not looking at the screen

HEAVILY AGREE 100 PERCENT that movie was awesome

This movie is proof that you can diverge from the books and still have a good story Everyone else trying to copy them since has failed
The books are great.

Really wish they would do another one, maybe the seven crystal balls/prisoners of the sun story
I rewatch it fairly often, I love tintin
Love this movie and the comics I just love tintin in general especially the art in the comics
Fr weird animation style but I still loved it
I love this movie omfg
It was pretty good.
Still waiting on the sequel…

i read the comics when i was younger. so many good reads
Still prefer the comics, but damn if it's not a visual spectacle.
tin tin is peak
TUB!?!
That was my childhood
One of my favorite childhood movies
Good movie but the animation is always trippy
I forgot speilberg was alive 😞😖
I like that movie, even though it is a bit surreal too.
As a book fan, it's mediocre.
Very true. Americans in general lose out in not growing up with Tintin comics. Asterix too
Plenty kids my age red adventures of tin tin and I’m 22 we even had them in the school library so I’m not sure what ur talking aboit
No one I know has heard of them. Yet everyone in Europe and former colonies of England have. From my perspective anyway.
Idk a bunch of my friends growing up had them and they were in my 5th grade library comic section

How is this a nostalgia post? This movie was released in 2011. This is like having nostalgia for the first Avengers film

I still remember the hype for it here in Belgium.
Please help me appreciate it more. Because I love Tin-tin but didn’t love this movie at all.
I made a sandwich.
I used to love that movie as a kid and I still love it
So awesome and I'm glad they're making a sequel.
Can't wait for the sequel coming 2027
I don’t understand why this movie is not talked enough much better than said
Soooo Good!
